AntidisestablishmentaryinismRunning with the Right Stuff (YSK)I run most every morning at the crack of dawn for about 4 miles, which I have been doing for 35 years. I used to listen to music which was fine until I discovered SYSK. Now that’s all I listen to. So I improve my body and mind at the same time. What a deal. I think other runners may think I’m a little strange when I laugh out load during these runs, but so what. May they keep the podcast going at least until I can’t run anymore.

windowless worldDo they ever get tired of being wrong? It’s not rhetorical. I actually would like to know.

MagicalMonsterGreat Stuff!!These guys have fantastic “radio” voices, the content is always interesting, and they easily engage the listener. Can’t wait for the next episode. Well Done!

Bill W - 000Great content, Too much non relevant inaccurate informationI have been listening to the Stuff You Should Know podcast for a couple of years now and I am always interested to hear what they have to say on the myriad diverse topics that they touch on. The reason I cannot give this show a five star review is because of the amount of both irrelevant and often inaccurate supplemental information that the hosts seem unable to stop injecting into the commentary. They continue to push left-wing tropes on topics that they clearly have no real knowledge of instead of just sticking to the facts of stories that they are researching. I have long considered myself a political centrist, and I do not stop listening to a show just because it has left or right leaning hosts, however, it greatly distracts from the good information that they are sharing when they seem to spend more time on comments that have no relevance to the topic at hand than they do to the actual topic at times.

J ClamMuzakThe more I listen the more I like your show. Even though I can fast forward thru the commercials, I feel obliged to listen to all your hard work finally paying off for you! I was glad you made the connection between Brian Eno and ambience music. I’ve been following him since the days of Roxy Music. You taught me a new appreciation of music for airports. thank you.
-
FL.E. DudeLove itI love this show, you guys are awesome
-
devil0kJosh needs to goHis voice is incredibly distracting, and he comes across like a simpleton instead of someone who I should be learning something from.
-
liladventurerConsistently goodSYSK is probably the podcast I have been listening to longest alongside This American Life. After years of listening, I’m still entertained by the banter and teasing between Chuck and Josh, and still look forward to learning something new each episode. Thanks for continuing to delight and teach!

Clemmy86THE BESTBest podcast ever, IMHO. These guys feel like family at this point. You’ve got a friend in Vermont!
-

-
YaboyCa$h123It’s goodI’m 12 and I have found something to listen to on car rides. Can you please make an episode on anime.
-
blind boy JohnnyExcellent podcastJust wanted to provide some feedback about your excellent podcast. I have been listening for about two years and enjoy every episode. I have one small suggestion to make things easier for those of us who want to find some older podcast that you reference. for example in your Jim Henson podcast, you reference your Muppets episode but with over 2000 episodes, it was difficult and actually impossible for me as a blind user to find that exact episode to go back to so putting any referencedpodcast into your show Notes would be greatly appreciated. if it is there and I just did not see it. I apologize.

hermexA classic still in its primeThis show helped define what podcasts are. And yet it feels so fresh, thanks to the rapport of the hosts.

-
Whatstheword91737478292BoringIt’s not the information that is boring, it’s the execution

sleeplessinNE2020So many adsLong time listener, I love the banter and learning a little bit about random things. However, the increase volume of ads makes it hard to follow the content (seems to be the way podcasts are going).
-
lisaarleneThe GOATThese guys feel like family. They’re weird, they’re funny, they’re lovable. This show is a staple in my life, and I can’t imagine anyone disliking the show. It’s for car rides, yard work, winding down, and even when you think the topic at hand couldn’t possibly be interesting - they prove you wrong. Give it a try.

MiathescientistGood podcastI’m only 10 but, I like this podcast. but usually, I fall asleep before the episode end.( I’ve been doing that since I was a baby). Also, you should make a hockey episode. You have over 2,000 episodes, and the best you have is a Zamboni short stuff. Don’t know many websites for research, but Inside Out 2 is pretty spot-on. Another suggestion I just thought of: Giftedness. What makes intellectually gifted people different? How does the label “gifted” affect people? What classifies as “gifted”? About how many people in the US are gifted? ALSOOOOOO… in the acne episode, you describe rosacea. DON’T WORRY PEOPLE. My dad has rosacea, and it’s not too bad AND there’s treatments. I have ocular rosacea, (rosacea is genetically passed down) and it’s not bad after my treatments. You cannot tell.

Johnsm442 Boring White DudesDefinitely not worth the time. Podcast is too boring white guys.
-
Alay15Long time listenerWish I lived in an alternate reality where Josh and Chuck are my dads 👍🏻
-
user15284583Dumb but entertainingTheir older stuff and their history episodes are great but they sometimes do not do justice to their topics because they are just a bit too simple in the head or they don’t like the subject. Also why have no subscription option to remove ads? Esp if you want to sleep it is irritating
-
TheEnglishTeacherWhat I NeededI stumbled across this podcast online while researching an issue one of my students was having. One of the search options was this podcast. While it was a very serious issue, the guys handled it with care and respect. I continued listening to the next episode where they made me laugh and taught me new things. That was 6 years ago- I can’t get enough of Josh and Chuck!

Squeekygeeky67Fascinating infoSome things that are not part of common conversation is mundane. This stuff is not. They talk more and reminisce about things I haven’t thought about in a while. Questions in the back of my head and don’t want to google is talked about here.
-
czXas67Stuff you should knowThey mixed jokes and information perfectly
-
luku45Too many adsThe ads make what would otherwise be an excellent and fun podcast almost unbearable. Short stuff is 50% ads—not worth bothering with. I would gladly pay for an ad free version of this podcast but unfortunately that is not an option.
-
Hi 😛🤓The best show everI love this podcast especially the episode on ADHD

upwardj76TulipsWhat’s better than roses on your piano? Tulips on your organ.
-
@oldoneballSo enjoy!Your podcast is so informative and interesting and casual. One of my favorites for learning stuff. Thanks.
-
dartdeanGreat stuffLove the show and always find new things. Good humans as well, which makes it even better. Thanks for doing good in the times we are in. Forget those who choose not to.
-
BeautifiulLouiseFascinating and funI came across SYSK by serendipity. I found the hosts' voices pleasantly free of jargon and profanity—something rare these days. The topics are fascinating and their way of presenting them is marvelous. I’ve listened to so many episodes that I’m all the way back two years and more. Fortunately for me there are enough to keep me entertained for a long time.
-
lknightmdI didn’t know I need to know so much!I listened to a few episodes last year and now I’m stuck in a binge! So much great stuff and their chemistry is fantastic.
-
TexavanianQuality show, quality humans. Full stop. Objective and factual, if you’re able.
-
jonnydogGeneral review of the showEnjoy these podcasts. Move along nicely and the rapport between Josh and Chuck is entertaining as well as informative. Would have given a 5 except occasionally (very occasionally) they allow some political bias to seep into their conversation, which can be a tad annoying and, I think, takes away from an otherwise flawless performance.
-
…BuuuhMonotoneSeems like they put no emotional emphasis on this damned show
-
annoyed phillies fanYour Bias is showingUsed the be the best podcast on earth, for a long time. Lately, not so much. The subtle liberal views and Trump Derangement inserted into episodes isn’t so subtle anymore. Has it occurred to these people that half of your audience may not support your political bias?
-
Houdini993What about Claudette Colvin???On the latest episode, asassination of Martin Luther King Jr you made a comment early on about how Ross parks kicked off the civil rights movement. That information is incorrect. 9 months before the Rosa parks incident Claudette Colvin was forced to give up her seat on a bus. Rosa parks was just a poster child. The credit needs to go where it’s due. And Rosa parks ain’t it!!!!
-
CHEFBOY ROBDGreatest show everThere is comfort food, and then there is SYSK. Thanks for the company all this time, guys!
-
adams2005Podcast requestCan you do an episode on Champaign please????
-
Jaberwockey masterIt’s okYa know, if you can wade through all the biased commentary and somehow manage to put up with Josh’s lisp and Chuck’s constant wheezing into the microphone, there’s actually some pretty interesting stuff in here. Maybe one day they’ll do one about run-on sentences.
-
The maker guyMystery spotHi! I love your podcast and have a suggestion. You should do an episode on “mystery spot California.” If you don’t know what that is, it’s a mountain in California where supposedly gravity works differently. I’ve been there, and I was leaning like 30 degrees the whole time! Anyway, your podcast is awesome, byyyyyeeeeeee!
-
M00seyG00seyFantastic!In a time where fake news and misinformation are common place, these guys do a fantastic job of providing information on topics in an unbiased manner. Their intelligence and talent allow for them to provide this information in a very entertaining fashion. Could not say enough positive things about this podcast. Really appreciate it!
-
Some dude in Spokane WAGood clean fun.I have loved this podcast for a while now. These guys get along great even when they disagree. Plus I can get my nerd on!
-
c10h12“Uhhh” -Chuck (every sentence)Want to listen so badly but this drives me nuts. Anyone else? :( why won’t production bring it to his attention
-
Jason & Kari PouliotFrom todays episode about chickensChuck and Josh, Your chicken episode was hilarious. If you think Fowler was funny, get this; I come from a long lineage of Pouliot’s, from French Quebec (we have a family crest with chickens on it) we are poultry workers…

Anonymous29471047391Um yeah … hotel chelseaHi guys… it is the hotel chelsea not the chelsea hotel. And the el quixote signature drink is quite delish. Make reservations
-
BillyyBobThe Scribble on ScrabbleThe Simpsons: S1:Ep2 “Bart the Genius” Perfect description of a family Scrabble game. “Kwyjibo” "A big, dumb, balding North American ape with no chin", "and a short temper". Love SYSK!
-
AngMiKoInteresting topic, chatty banterTopics are interesting and information about it can be learned by listening. Presentation is in dialogue form between two hosts who are not experts but have researched the topic. Pretty chatty format, with tangents and banter, ironic remarks (which can be confusing), material is not always strictly scaffolded, no sound effects.
-
du heiebdkThis should be a total five star podcast.Don’t see why there are some jerks out there who gave Josh and Chuck 1 star reviews. They’re probably not cultured.
-
TAF1701aShow on A/D’sI give you a lot of credit for tackling such a broad & misunderstood subject. I work in a retail pharmacy and we dispense a great deal of these. But more than that I have found relief from symptoms for over 30 years of this therapy. There are many you skipped over but that’s a good thing & beyond the scope of SYSK anyway. I don’t remember hearing cautions that people should see their doctor about these afflictions as antidepressants used the wrong way (especially MAOIs) can be life-threatening. I suspect you will get nasty grams about this topic but as an expert on them I’m glad that you made an honest & respectful attempt. I would’ve added some more info on the manifestations (the professional term is indications) of physiologically-based depression and at least a disclaimer that there many, many, a very great many “companion” mental conditions and some of those are unfortunately misdiagnosed as depression. Warning: not all primary care healthcare providers are qualified to prescribe these - i.e., knowing the differences and how to monitor dosing. In my opinion, listeners need to do their own research, too, about their condition(s). Something you could add - e.g., if this episode becomes a “Selects” - is a reference to legitimate websites or hotlines designed to help people sort all this out (unless I missed it). Another winner for your catalog.
