Hard to listen to anymore. Howard has gone full-blown Biden apologist. Just listen to a couple episodes. Come on man! Get a grip pal! This podcast is MILARKY! UPDATE: Since Kamala has stolen the Democrat nomination, Howie’s podcast has become complete trash!! Retire already!!!

Howie does great commentary on the popular news of the day. I do not always agree with what he says, but I appreciate his view point.

Good content but too much dead air as Howard desperately searches for the next, obvious word. I hope I’m wrong.

Howie is one of those rare journalists that is actually able to report the news without bias. Thus my favorite source for news.

I’ve been a regular listener and subscriber for a very long time but I am all done with you. You are so anti-Trump and it comes through all the time. While, I have mixed feelings about Trump, I don’t think you should defame him constantly.

Howie is about to lose 2 listeners-viewers w his “RFK, Jr is a conspiracy theorist” propaganda. I guess Murdoch is as afraid of RFK as he is of Tucker Carlson. They both tell the truth. “Trash RFK, Jr” is now the Murdoch Fox-Big Pharma rule of law. Sadly, I think Howie actually believes these lies. He has to in order to keep his spot on the Fox roster. Calling RFK, Jr an antisemite, and only showing abbreviated clips of his recent statements before Congress is discrediting of Media Buzz Sunday show and this podcast. Another reason to tune out msm and listen to Greenwald, Iverson, Salvati, Dore, Mate, Blumenthal, RBN, and a host of others that do not kiss the ring of corporate sponsors.

Dear Howie, having appreciatively listened to your podcasts for several years, I am very disappointed in your lack of critical thinking about discovery of cocaine at the White House on Sunday July 2. Let’s look at data: 1. Hunter Biden is a known cocaine user. 2. He knows he can get away with almost everything, including knowing he will not be searched at any time coming or going to the WH so that he can bring in whatever he wants. 3. He has a record of doing extremely foolish things, apparently a combination of extremely poor judgment and not recognizing that he can get caught in situations that are not protected by the Biden administration. 4. Who else would be so foolish as to bring cocaine into the WH and why? Almost all other individuals would be searched. Some random staffer or tourist who uses cocaine is much more likely to keep and use it at home. 5. Some staffer or tourist who accidentally brought in and left cocaine would not have erased fingerprints from the plastic bag or left no DNA or other evidence, so the Secret Service claiming they could not determine the culprit is unlikely. When asked about the cocaine, WH deputy press secretary Andrew Bates invoked the Hatch Act, which is irrelevant to the question. Karine Jean-Pierre said the question was “irresponsible”, but never answered the question, i.e., did not deny that it could have been put there by Hunter Biden. She also said that the Bidens “They were not here. They were at Camp David. They were not here Friday, they were not here Saturday or Sunday, they were not even here Monday. ” 1. However the Bidens, including Hunter, were at the White House through Friday, so her statement is incorrect. 2. Also, Jean-Pierre saying the Bidens were not there when the cocaine was discovered implies that she thinks the cocaine was placed in the WH at about the same time it was discovered. That would further imply that the person who placed it could still have been in the WH at the time. I doubt Jean-Pierre thinks any of this, just that her defense statements were a mix of irrelevant and silly. The Secret Service claimed not to be able to find any forensic evidence, fingerprints, DNA, or surveillance photos to determine who placed the cocaine. An obvious implication of this is that anyone could bring in almost anything, e.g., anthrax or C4, both with deadly consequences. Do you think neither the Secret Service nor anyone else has thought about that and instituted procedures to prevent such happening? Now the Department of Homeland Security has denied an FOIA request because “disclosure could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings”. Since the case is closed, there aren’t any enforcement proceedings. As a scientist who routinely has to evaluate data, I conclude that Hunter Biden placing the cocaine in the WH is by far the most likely explanation, if the Secret Service was unable to determine the culprit it is only because they deliberately avoided doing so, and that they are lying. The alternative that someone else brought in and left cocaine is silly. I suspect much of the country thinks similarly. This just further erodes any trust we have in government.

So today’s podcast (6/11/23) was the last straw for me. I started listening to Howard‘s commentary a long time ago. On the subject of Donald Trump, Howard pretends to be neutral, but somehow always ends up coming out against him. This most recent indictment is the perfect example. In his opening Howard stated that the New York indictment was, even to liberal sensibilities, politically motivated, but that this federal indictment is “different.” How in the world is it different? Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and President Biden are all “guilty” of the identical misbehavior, but they weren’t prosecuted. What more evidence does Howard need that the democrats have once again declared war on half the population and are using the Justice Department and the rest of the federal apparatchiks to do it? I’m fed up with his smug pretense of fairness and will unsubscribe.

I have followed his various shows for years, since his CNN days. He’s always tilted left of center but tried to be fair. He also used to be crisp and entertaining. Recently he has become long winded and slow. He is almost painful to listen to. The final straw for me however has been his tendency to manufacture issues to analyze. It became ludicrous when he framed Ron DeSantis as a media darling to justify his claim that now they turned on him. Anyone even remotely awake would have to acknowledge that the media always covered him negatively. I only gave him 2 stars out of sentimentality for the years I have enjoyed his shows

Last week’s episode regarding the three state legislators who illegally fostered a riot in the legislative chambers was so void of incriminating facts regarding the perpetrators, it was revolting. Howie normally treads a fair reporter’s path of being impartial with regards to providing both sides of the issue but this episode hit an all-time nadir. It adopted the Democrat’s narrative that gun control, not the mentally disturbed trans-gender killer, was at fault. Wrong, this was a evidence of a terrorist determined to kill white Christians with whom this individual had unprovoked anger.

You and Biden do not live in TN so have no right to criticize what we do.

With critical thinking at the core of this podcast, Howard is a breath of fresh air reminding us what a true journalist sounds like. The state of our country is a referendum on the state of education. Fear mongering conspiracy theorists who are too fragile to hear another perspective will not appreciate this articulate, well thought out podcast.

Great podcast, but too much Trump and primary coverage. I’m having to skip a lot of your cast because of Trump fatigue. Please spare us.

Big fan of Howard Kurtz...until today. NO mention of FoxNews Dominiongate disclosures. Biggest media story of the year and my goto expert is MUTED. SAD! Goodbye Howie.

Balanced, informative and high-value show!

If you are going to spend every podcast episode haranguing about unfair coverage of Donald Trump you will lose me. I have been a faithful daily listener from the start. I love the behind the scenes descriptions of your Sunday show. Donald Trump has created the media environment. Frankly I think we’d all be better off if no one covered him. I used to watch several Fox shows, but yours became the only one I trusted. Now though, that horrible criminal with few morals is trying to make a comeback and you are helping him. And on another note, not everyone finds Elon Musk as interesting as you do. So I will give the podcast one more listen and if it’s all about whining that the media is unfair to that Orange mad man, I am gone.

I’ve been a fan of Howie’s for years, but his mouth noises in this podcast are awful. I listen to a ton of podcasts and this is the only one like this. Please put a filter between you and the microphone.

Howie! Big fan-been listening to your podcast since it began - and media buzz before that. Always appreciate you low-key NORMALLY balanced narration of current events. Generally, you help me get an idea of what’s going on in the world and not be discouraged or angry afterward. But I gotta tell ya man-you seem obsessed with the Walker abortion controversies. I know it’s a story - but you seem to talk about it more then anyone else… ease up man.

Howie, are you seriously comparing the Covid vaccine with a well documented measles vaccine? Have you really thought about it?

All the chat about Herschel Walker. I just don’t get it. He shouldn’t even be in a race for Senate. NO qualifications either the exception of being endorsed by the former President, whose name will not be uttered. Former Republican here and this race is just one of many examples why.

Enough with the Trump coverage already. Don’t really care about what happens to Trump either way. Find some other interesting news about things that are unique instead of rehashing the mainstream medias stories.

Another great podcast, today Mr. Kurtz. Thank you always for what you are doing for “the societal fabric of our planet”. Keep up the good work. The balance of your presentation is nothing short of soothing.

On Friday’s pod you referred FOUR times to England’s new king as “King Phillip III”, instead of the factual King Charles III. And it’s Balmoral Castle, not “Balmorale.” Makes me question your research and facts on all other stories.

Howie is a piece of cr@p! If he can make it in media then literally anybody can. My dog would do a better job than this guy. Blow your nose before recording your silly little podcast. You sound disgusting. And you really need to stop making half of your stories about yourself. Lazy! Come on, little man - BE BETTER!

The fact the Howard isn’t a media superstar shows how ridiculous the media is. They’ve chosen entertainment over information. Controversy over context. Howard is actually fair and balanced.

Howard love your podcast but please lose the Jan 6 over analysis. It’s getting ridiculous. The hearings will not move the needle and it’s showing your bias which you usually hide pretty well. How can you even suggest that a cross examination would not matter? Our entire justice system is based on a fair trial. This has been as far away from fair as you can get. You have lost me as a listener until you stop this ridiculous story line.

I used to enjoy this podcast and his weekly TV show because Kurtz took a balanced view and served as a fair minded constructive critic of the media. Over the past couple years he’s become more of a liberal cheerleader who no longer focuses on the media as much as he applauds the Democrats and everything they want to accomplish. It’s been two years and he still has a horrible case of Trump derangement syndrome. If he doesn’t get back to normal soon, he should leave Fox and join Chris Wallace on a channel where people will embrace his liberally biased perspective.

I am a regular listener and find that this podcast is my go to for hearing both sides of an issue. That is not easy to find anymore, especially in cable news when the networks ( any of them) seem to be more concerned with ratings than balanced information.

If you want to hear waste of time stuff about the Beetles, some tennis player who doesn’t want a shot or uneducated opinions about law enforcement issues, this is your podcast. If you’re looking for well researched or thought out commentary on topical news and media practices, you may want to look elsewhere. This podcast is basically 5 hits: one negative Trump comment (he’s gone dude!), a complement or excuse about something Biden did, something about January 6th, some fluff about sports or music and an over amplification of COVID risk based on number of cases (rather than deaths or hospitalizations). Oh, and lately there is bonus material about what a wonderful person the president of Ukraine is. Read past NYT articles about this guy and his government before the media decided to make a hero out of him. The media practices and motives for covering this war would be good Media Buzz topics. Tired of suffering through what used to be, a good podcast and a Sunday show about MEDIA practices. Those were worth a listen/view. Now, with all the oversimplified “analysis” and lazy opinion sharing, I find Media Buzz a waste of time. Come on man, you think cops shouldn’t make traffic stops for expired registration because some idiot may get himself shot by resisting a lawful arrest…. Instead, you said they should send a letter to DMV? And, how do you ID the driver in that case? And, who would pay their registration if there were no consequences? And Howie, you really can’t see the difference between supplying old Russian fighter jets and ground fired weapons to Ukraine? Even Biden understands the difference. Kirby has spelled this out several times already. Catch up.

Let's hear some substantive analysis of TC – the Kremlin's favorite American talking head and Q Anon conspiracy propagator. You'll mention SH & TC by name when touting their ratings, but you refer to "some Fox commentators" when they say something false, idiotic or reprehensible. Have any idea how good Carlson's ratings are in Russia? Company over country? What a profile in courage!

He shills for the left a bit much. I used to watch him on CNN when that was a real network. He carries the water for the left a little too much, but he is a decent person with interesting insight. I still like him a lot and respect his opinion and will continue to listen. By the way, his book Spin Cycle is great. Edit: if he keeps apologizing for the Biden Administration and has to do a story on Trump in every podcast, I’m leaving this guy. OK… Enough is enough. I don’t like Trump, but I’m sick of hearing the TDS bashing from Kurtz. Too bad, his book spin cycle was great. He’s also fair minded to the extent his liberalism will allow him. Unfollowing. Bye.

You cannot call the podcast Buzz Meter without the buzzes

Howie understands the media like no other because he’s been there, done that, from print to TV to blogging and his absolute element, the podcast. He calls out media excesses on both sides, which makes him a rarity. He’s literary and verbally stylistic. Alone among podcasters, you’ll never catch him saying, “The reason is because…”

Howie, Kill a human being or dont. Man up to the real questions. That blob of tissues has its own distinct dna at conception. No other like it ever. A human. For me, defend human life.

I actually used to look forward to hearing Howie’s middle of the road media analysis. “Biden has had a largely successful first 6 months until Afghanistan”. Are you kidding me? Which success? The border? The vaccine? maybe China? Not only am i unsubscribing, I’ll be happy to tell everybody I know that you’ve been demoted to toady for the left. Go mask up Howie with 50 masks so we don’t have to listen to you!

Howie, you were flat out wrong today, 7/15/21. You said over 99% of COVID cases were among non vaccinated individuals. There is no data to support this claim. You are simply mocking Dr Fauci, who cited a bogus AP article that said 99% of deaths are among non vaccinated people, which is also unsubstantiated. I expected you to do homework before repeating inaccurate data.

Kurtz is from the old school group of journalists who were actually taught to stick to the facts and report on the media coverage (both sides) of the news. I’ve watched his Sunday show for years and enjoy the podcast.

I listen regularly and appreciate his perspective and ability to be (mostly) objective.
