Like everytime there’s a possible interesting or comedic point you could possibly land on given the subject, instead, there’s a round of Midwestern-unjoke-sounding chuckling and dumb asides. And more chuckling followed by a round of even worse in-jokes followed by even worse chucking at in-jokes. Do you pay these bros to just laugh mindlessly at everything you say? It’s like listening to Beavis and Butthead*...EXCEPT instead of being a hilarious legendary cartoon [that you clearly missed the irony of], you & co are just a traveling cloud of real-life terribly-unfunny mimicking secondary-humiliation B+B-esque dread, because it’s not actually funny in real life, omg I’m so embarrassed for you and your mindless chuckling friends *such a purposeful ripoff you accidentally and unironically say things like “dill hole” earnestly

I’ve been listening to these guys for a while now, and they never seem to even remotely slack on their podcasts. They never record just to get another episode out, you can tell that they thoroughly enjoy what they do and I know I enjoy it too! They have a great sense of humor and never fail to make me laugh. (I would listen to them at work and randomly start laughing and I’m pretty sure they had me flagged as crazy but that’s alright...) I truly enjoy all of the episodes they put out and I hope they don’t stop anytime soon! #wildman

I made it 5mins and had to turn it off. It was foul and immature. They may have had good research on the topic but I thought I was listening to dirty minded and foul mouth high school kids. Sad

I’m not a juggalo, I don’t listen to ICP, I don’t follow football, I don’t know what Dungeons & Dragons is BUT I really enjoy this podcast. When I first started listening it would be the last thing I’d choose hoping it would be better than white noise. After a few months I totally get their humor. It’s like sitting at the lunch table with the band kids that smell like egg salad. Great humor, love all the 2000’s rock jokes and references and movie references. #wildman

Selected this podcast for the first time while doing a deep dive into Elisa Lam, and a few minutes in a joke comes up calling the victim the R-word. Shocking, but you *can* be funny and have dark humor without trying to use that as part of your skit. 🥴

First off they cover true crime which is a bit fat check on what I look for in my podcasts. Second they mix in comedy, and not just regular comedy but dark humor. Let’s go ahead and check box mother fluffin two on my checklist. Mix in a group of amazing dudes who seem to be referencing things straight out of my dysfunctional adolescent years and boom you have this incredible mash up known as the brothers commonplace. Too many inside jokes? Yeah listen to more than one podcast and maybe you can laugh with the rest of us nerd. Too dark? Well if the giant warning in the beginning didn’t scare you then maybe you deserve to hear some jokes that scar you on an emotional level. I think these guys are brilliant and remind me of the good old days of sitting back with my group of “brothers” and just talking about the most random bs that we could think of. Keep doing what you are doing guys and I promise I will continue laughing at the dark stuff #wildjon

For years now whether it be on radio stations or podcasts, it seems like the most effortless and unoriginal format is pushed over and over. And that format is a room full of guys ( usually younger)pretending to discuss a topic while attempting and failing to be funny and have some kind of pow wow, half of which is lost on the listener, because we don’t know you and your inside jokes! The other problem is we don’t care. We care about the subject matter and how it’s delivered. Example True Crime Garage.

I can’t say enough good things about the brothers! Every case is given the attention,research,and in the end jokes they deserve to make them interesting and hilarious! Comedy and crime can work, and this podcast is proof! After one episode,you’ll be donating to the patreon just to have that brothers commonplace sticker on the bumper of your car. Just keep in mind listening while driving may make you a highway statistic due to laughter! Rock on guys!

for my internship i do home visits everyday. and every time i do my commute to the office or drive to and from home visits, i am ALWAYS playing this podcast. i cannot stop laughing the whole time. my favorite thing is that no matter how bad the jokes are that they tell, all of them always laugh like it’s the funniest thing they’ve ever heard. it is my #1 true crime podcast and i tell all of my friends to listen to it. love these guys and this podcast so much!!

The Brothers Commonplace has witty commentary that will entertain for hours at a time. The hilarious takes on serious topics are different from any other true crime podcast. I love listening at work in between masturbating.

This Podcast has become my favorite podcast and I am not sure if it is the Mel Hall or the ICP that has me hooked.... this podcast is the exact opposite of Joe Dirt 2 give it a listen

Wears a little thin hearing someone say they’re not gonna tell a joke because it’s not funny; right before they proceed to tell the joke. Wish they focused more on the crime aspect and less on forcing humor. What jokes do come across are blisteringly un-pc, and for that they are worth listening to alone.

Informative but most importantly, makes me laugh! 😂

It was just too scattered and frenetic for me. They try though so two stars.

If you’re easily offended 1) insert a quarter in your butthole cause you played yourself. 2) this podcast might test your thin skin P.s. ole double barrel butthole sounds like a young Elijah wood, and his joke windup is great but the climax can sometimes leave me unimpressed (I’m sure much like his love life). P.p.s. Penis size is often discussed so if you’re sensitive about your small dangler beware!! (And if someone is bullying you about you over-sized truck and undersized junk just tell em “hey! I can’t touch the bottom of a tuna can, but I’ll blow the sides out!!”)

This review is a 2 for 1. I’ve got to point out how much I love this podcast, it’s seriously never a bad choice. Also, Canadian Chloe wants to shout out but she needed my help because she doesn’t have an iPhone

Here’s how I describe this to my friends: The bros. discuss some of the most ridiculously fugged up cases in history and somehow manage to keep it fun with what soundss like 20+ years of inside jokes and unofficial improv chemistry. Keep it up, fellas.

The combination of inappropriate humor, the creep factor of many of the subjects/cases, and the close knit friendship of the hosts makes this podcast my favorite - hands down. Love you guys, Haley
