    What a treat
I watched all of BSG around 2008. It became what I consider one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. There were times I tried to rewatch it, but shows like game of thrones, breaking bad and other things grabbed my attention, but my love for battlestar never left. I’m FINALLY watching it again after so many years. This podcast is amazing for fans and I love that y’all took so much time and devotion to make it happen. So say we all

    A good rewatch companion
Stumbled upon this podcast recently. I like the dynamic of hearing from a guy who has never seen the series before with a die hard fan. It reminds me of what it was like for me on my first viewing of the show and trying to figure things out. The one host who knows the show fancies himself a Joe Rogan type (eye roll) and is a little cringey at times. That guy also talks ad nauseam about the show’s format and schedule. Like dude, it’s a podcast. We don’t care. It’s about a show that went off the air more than ten years before you recorded. Hardly anyone is listening in real time. So get ready to fast forward through that nonsense. Otherwise it’s worth a listen.

    Great podcast
I am doing my first Rewatch in almost a decade. This cast is great for it. My only wish is that there were a veteran to give his or her point of view. The host have a hard time with the Military part of this Military Science Fiction. No real fault of theirs, but, as a vet, I have a hard time with it sometimes.

    Spoiler free! WHY!?!?!?
I don’t get a spoiler free podcast about a show that is over 10 years old. The cat and mouse game that the two podcasters play is annoying. Recap format with analysis would be great. But quizzing your cohost constantly on an old show gets old quick. Had potential but collapses as the show doesn’t know what it wants to be.

Great show but for 3 things
Really enjoy the content. I've listened three seasons in. As a first time listener paranoid about spoilers, I appreciate the dynamic between Matt and Dean. The three things I hope they can improve on are the weird voices/impersonations, the political commentary, and the creepy obiectifying stuff. The episodes are very long and I feel the extended impressions are not funny and add a lot of dead weight to otherwise good commentary. I get uncomfortable every time they go on riffs about how hot certain characters are. The last thing they could do without is the political commentary. There have been many times they appear to be condescending and overly preachy about their political points of view, especially weird voice guy...to the point they sound like cylons.

    Great commentary
I love BSG and this is great commentary by 2 fans...and the seen-'em-all vs never seen conceit is fun! I also listen to the SciFi Film Podcast and how occasionally delete it mid-show when 'funny voice' veers into 'uncomfortably yet vaguely racist/misogynistic' territory...but for whatever reason 'Recomissioned doesn't bother me in that regard...good for listening, relistening and re-relistening. Update: downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars after deleting 'the passage' halfway through. You all are insightful and smart but you are NOT FUNNY! The extended 'funny voice" riffs are childish, boring and occasionally offensive. I used to love this podcast and it makes me sad.

    Disappointed!!
I started listening to 'Recommissioned' a few months back and have finally caught up to the most recent episodes. The episode recaps are really thorough and I particularly enjoy revisiting all of my favorite episodes of BSG. In the beginning I also agreed with a previous reviewer who said that the "uncomfortable yet vaguely racist/misogynistic" comments from the SciFi Film Podcast didn't bother them in this particular podcast. They didn't seem to bother me, either, as they usually are few and far between. Over time, however, I feel like I have gradually started to resent both of the hosts. I'm not sure if I'll be listening to this podcast much longer. For a show like BSG which has such strong female characters, this fact should be CELEBRATED, not just treated like an afterthought.

This podcast is as sexy as Six
Do you love BSG? Do you love podcasts? Then why are you still reading this review? Subscribe to this podcast now and get to listening. Admiral Adama commands it! I've tried listening to other podcasts with similar concepts before, where one host has seen the show before and the other one is watching for the first time. Its a great way to listen to a podcast and relive the first time you saw the show. But out of all the other podcasts I’ve tried like this, Recommissioned is the only one that pulls it off well. This one is highly entertaining, very in-depth, and you can tell Matt and Dean are honestly excited about the show they're watching. So hit the frakkin button and subscribe ya dang toaster!

    Thought Provoking
I’m really enjoying this set up with Matt & Dean! The work ethic put into these shows is outstanding and inspiring! I’m halfway through season 2 of BSG and binge listening the show LSG produces to keep me thinking. I only wish I could catch up to join in the new broadcast.

    Enjoying this far
Part way through listening to season 1. I watched when initially was released. Rewatching concurrently with these episodes (please keep releasing for next 2 seasons). Why not include the other concurrent material? ie between s2e17 & s2e18 the Razor movie & Razor flashbacks webisodes, The Resistance webisodes before season 3, between s4e11 & s4e12 The Face of the Enemy webisodes, between s4e15 & s4e16 The Plan movie (could be argued to also watch after end of series)?

    Fun Listen for Hardcore Fans
I dig this podcast. It's fun to listen to a critical deep dive of such a great show and to hear about it from the point of view of someone who knows where the story is going and someone who is seeing it for the first time. It helps me see the story with new eyes. I could do with a little less waxing poetic about how hot they think 6 is, because at 9 episodes in, it's starting to feel a little creepy, but overall I think it's a cool, insightful show.

I Will Listen to Anything They Do
Started out listening to the Science Fiction Film Podcast, graduated to the The X-Files Podcast, Game of Thrones and Without Limits, now listening to Recommissioned (despite it being years since I have seen the series). The LSG Team is great! Audio quality is spot on, jokes are hilarious, commentary is both insightful and entertaining. I cannot say enough good things! I will listen to anything and everything they produce.

    Almost Perfect!
I'm happy to say I'm along for the BSG ride as first timer like the cohost and I'm enjoying it inmensely! The host's retrospective and the cohosts fresh take make for a very entertaining and insightful conversations. I respect the creators' choice to make the contect explicit but I find it difficult to openly share it otherwse perfect companion this scifi series. Highly recommend.

    Perfect
Just started my first watch through of the show and am very happy this podcast came out. It's a perfect companion to the show. They've mentioned many things I've missed and give great insight to the episodes.

    Frackin’ awesome.
LSG media has hit it out of the park again. Recommissioned is an awesome show that they delve into with their usual mix of seriousness and silly. This is a great show whether you’re on your first watch of Battlestar Galactica like Matthew, or your hundredth. Whether you agree or disagree with their opinions the discussion is always in depth and insightful, and occasionally hilariously silly.

The closest I can get to seeing it again for the first time.
I’ve been a fan of the LSG team since I went searching for a podcast episode talking about “Aliens” one evening, found their Sci-Fi Film podcast, and instantly knew these were My People. Sometimes BSG hurt me in an awesome, artistic achievement sort of way, and sometimes it hurt me in a “oh dear god why have they taken it in this direction” way, but I binged it basically the way they do in that “Portlandia” skit and I would love to erase it from my brain so I could see it again for the first time. Watching it again after five years and listening to Matthew experience it for the first time is such a joy, and almost as much fun as it was the first time around. Matthew and Dean are always fun to listen to, and they bring a lot of great observation and discussion to this podcast in addition to simply celebrating the show. It’s on Prime right now so the urge to binge it again is strong, but they make me want to take in one episode at a time and stay synced up with them as they make their way through the series. My favorite podcast of their whole network and we’re only four episodes in!

    Podcasting Excellence
Jon Cauthen: LSG MEDIA is easily my favorite podcasting group available for hilarious and insightful commentary and reviews of TV shows and film. TWD, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Leftovers to name a few and the flag ship Science Fiction Film Podcast is my personal favorite. This podcast is no exception. LSG Media is candy for my ears. Mind the explicit rating. It’s not for the kiddos. Thanks Dean and gang for the endless hours of content!
