    Great podcast except… 🤔
This podcast is funny, informative, and filled to the brim with Simpsons references. Honestly it’s my favorite giants podcast. However! They post far too infrequently to make it a podcast I can stay engaged with and don’t do emergency podcasts for big events. Example: Gabe Kapler got fired and there has been 🦗🦗🦗🦗. Please make this weekly and do emergency pods right when news breaks. Also ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because my only complaint is that I want this podcast more.

    Bummer dude
Baseball is an every day grind and it’s really cool to have something to depend on to summarize the recent happenings. This podcast isn’t that anymore. Is it hard to record once a week on a dependable day? It can even be just an off day or whatever. Just say when next at the end of the episode. For whatever reason they can’t do this and boo, cause I liked listening to these guys. Andy obviously hates podcasting and it bleeds into the vibe. Bummer, dude.

If “eat the frog” were a Giants podcast
I used to really like this podcast, but Grant & Andy hardly even hide how much they hate this part of their job anymore. I get it; it’s as much a reflection of the state of the roster/franchise, but this podcast isn’t really even worth listening to at double speed the one time a week they’re even releasing content anymore. It feels like more time is spent on who isn’t on the roster than what actually happened during the previous week & that tenor bleeds into the stale feel that longtime listeners are left with as the season moves along. That said, Grant remains- by far and away- the best writer on The Athletic.

    Love listening
Love listening to these guys! I’m a life long Giants fan but I live out of state now. This show helps me feel like I’m back at home.

They’re not concerned with Darin Ruff
For a short episode they spent an inordinate amount of time today carefully explaining to us that they are, indeed, not - in fact - concerned about Darin Ruff. Nor are they that concerned about Darin Ruff’s poor offensive output …thus far.

I appreciate the superchunk and Brian eno reference.

It’s becoming more ads than show!
Seriously. Starts with a two minute ad for baseball cards!?! It really is over the top.

The ads are NO LONGER killing it in a bad way!
June 24, 2021 All of the issues from my first review have been addressed. I'm happily continuing to listen regularly. Thanks for fixing things! May 10, 2021 I enjoy the Giants content but the overall production is lacking. The ad reads are shoehorned into the middle of the conversation with no warning. They're read with no personality or even a wink to the fact that they're an annoying necessity. It's extremely annoying to listen to and I'm on the verge of unsubscribing.

    I enjoy your show!!
Why don’t they bring up Kazmir or Sam Long in relief?

    Seriously with the ads
Long time listener but of late I am losing some interest. The problem is the number of ads. Yes, you can skip them but it definitely continually interrupts the flow. I listen to many podcasts and the frequency of ads, placement etc. is the most negatively impactful to the content. Please reconsider the latest changes to the ad strategy.

    Bait and switch
I enjoy the athletic and all the quality content, including some new podcasts I've discovered. I'd been listening on the mobile app and while the UX has improved there's just not enough content! Regardless of the content I want to have one app for all my podcasts..Which is why I was excited to see The Athletic was available on Apple Podcasts! Until today when I was 28mins deep into an episode of Baggs and Brisbee when it cuts off and they say "for more content from this episode visit theatheletic.com." As a paying customer of The Athletic I am disappointed in your bait & switch tactics in an attempt to acquire new customers. Be all in with your content on all platforms or don't have it available at all. This partial episode BS is a terrible experience and isn't going to work...Someone should remind The Athletic execs that it costs 5x-25x more to acquire new customers than it does to retain existing ones.
