Ryan Stevenson is a singer, songwriter, and Grammy-nominated recording artist behind "Eye of the Storm" and "Speak Life". Raised in rural southern Oregon, Stevenson worked 9 years as a frontline paramedic before his music career took off. With five number 1 singles, a Grammy nomination, Billboard Music Award nomination, a Dove award (2017), ASCAP honors and major tour bills with the likes of TobyMac, MercyMe, and the Newsboys, Ryan Stevenson has already distinguished himself as a rare talent whose unique perspective guides his honest lyrics and sonic sensibilities.

In this "Weathering the Storm" podcast, Ryan gives you a seat next to him as he vulnerably connects with friends, guests and artists as they share their powerful testimonies; their stories about enduring the storms in their lives and how God's faithfulness met them in their darkest moments.

In the eye of the storm, You remain in the control,
In the middle of the war, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor when my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm

This is one of my favorite podcasts. It is encouraging and uplifting. These stories really help me keep going in my own storms. Especially during this pandemic, this podcast has helped me feel like I am a part of the church and connected to the other believers you’ve interviewed on here. All I can say is thank you!!! ❤️

    Ben Sechler
The strength of this podcast is the story of the everyday Christian facing tremendous adversity, walking daily with God. Ben Sechler has a powerful story. Not as widely known as other guests, but all the more powerful testimony because of its rawness and simplicity.

    Such an authentic podcast!
Ryan, I so appreciate the authenticity of this podcast! Sadly so many christians go through life thinking they have to pretend they are ok and continue wearing masks that only lead to more bondage. This podcast is so raw, honest and hopeful! Praise God for your sensitivity to His leading to provide something that is so needed in today’s culture.

    Raw Real Refreshing
This is much needed in the church culture. It can easily be turned into a 2-3 hour podcast, and should be. Authenticity is what a lot of people are Looking for today. Keep up the good interviews. K.P.

    Too praise "wordy!"
Really enjoying the podcast and the stories I learn about the artists. My only issue is Ryan going over the top with his praise of his guests. He gets too wordy with describing them. I know he is excited, that's great, but after the 20th time saying how wonderful his guest is, it's gets grating. Okay, Ryan after 30 seconds we know how you feel, stop there, no need to go on for another five miutes!
  • Lucky13250
    Too short!
Love the podcast! It’s amazing how an anointing can come through the car speakers no matter where you are at! I just wish it was longer!

    Real
I love this! So real and a reminder performers are real and like us. It helps us focus on the message they bring us. To pray for them and worship with them. Not just listen.

Great podcasts, but some of them too short!
I love everyone of these podcasts! My only complaint is that some of them are too short, like 30 minutes. The best ones are the ones that go past 30 minutes, and are so much richer in detail and content because of it!! Michael

    Thank you for encouragement
I am a mom of four grown children who are all going through storms. Half of them have had their faith shaken and are wandering. The other half are struggling with the weight of very intense trials and walking through the refining fires. At the end of the podcast I was given hope for my kids to remember who they are in Christ. That God is building in them what they need for what is in the future. This old mama needed to hear the powerful words of the testimonies of his people. God is working and moving. Thank you!

A calm in the storm, a must listen!
Thank you for opening up and sharing with so much honesty, and delivering words filled with hope. I needed this right now! God has given you such a beautiful gift of delivering His truth. I am reminded that I am not alone in my storm, and I am relieved to hear you talk about compressed feelings between highs and lows. I will keep fighting. Thank you Toby, God bless you. Thank you Ryan for facilitating this amazing message.

Life changing in my season of grief
I recently found this podcast and so appreciate hearing real live people talk about their life, losses, struggles and how God has gotten them through. How the love of Christ has enveloped them and how their response is not always perfect, but just human. I will forever look at music differently. Thank you so much.

    TobyMac is so real
Stick through to the end. Toby and Ryan have a very real conversation about loss and faith. My heart is full with Toby’s amazing perspective on what God’s love is. Love it.

    Such an eye opener
Every episode is an eye opener to what these musicians go through. I feel like I should just thank God for them and pray for them and their families when I hear their songs because you never know what someone has been through or what they are currently going through. This podcast made me realize just because they are up there on stage or on the radio doesn’t mean everything is perfect for them. I nievely knew this before but hearing these things they have been through from their own mouth just really hit me different 🙏
  • kimberly44223
    Love, love, love this podcast!
Every single episode has been such a blessing to me, thank you for interviewing these musicians in such a real open way. It reminds me that I am not the only one going through some of these things or feeling some of these same feelings. Bless you and I will continue listening!
