Such a Gem!

I loved every minute of these ladies. My grandma wasn’t Jewish but she would have fit right in and she was my best friend until she passed holding my hand and laughing in my mid-30’s…these stories of the past are such a gift and so inspiring. Only she brings such wisdom and honesty. We should listen as much as possible because they know what’s important.

Perfection!

I’m close to 50 now, sadly my parents are already gone, and my Grandparents all died when I was very young. So I needed this. And, thankfully, …It’s Amazing!!! I feel so included in a not-so-weird way. I love these women for taking a chance and sharing something so beautiful with everyone. As life goes on, I wish every single day that I could talk frankly, with the people who made me— What a Gift!!! This is something very special. Also their comedic timing is insanely on point. You cannot script anything this good. That’s why it’s sooo good. I cry, I laugh, I feel better all around. Then I laugh again. Perfection!

What a joy!

My morning commute usually makes me really irritated and grouchy. But I started throwing on an episode of Call Your Grandmother when I get in the car and my commute got 1000x better! Instead of swearing and name-calling on the road, I laugh and cry sweet tears because these wonderful ladies are so real and endearing. Oh, and I’ve definitely called my grandma more often because these gals make me miss her! I’m SO glad a second season is on its way!!

I lost my Nana at 25. She was my last remaining grandparent. I miss her every day. I think there must be some sort of secret grandparent handbook, because everything they and their guests have said to their grandkids my Mom has said to her 5 grandchildren at one time or another. Like a lot of things, I found this by accident and fell in love. I’m so happy there will be a season 2.

Legit miss my grandma but this helps!

I love this so much! It makes me think of all my friends’ grandmas growing up in Detroit. My grandma was originally from TN, but it still reminds me of her, too. And how proud she was of all her grandkids. The first time I listened I had the best dream that night of my grandma. What a gift!! Thank you for being a light in this dark pandemic world!
