Strongman was recommended to me by my friend, Sam Eagan. The creators and producers deliver on the premise, exploring various systems of power in an overarching meditation on humanity’s thirst for domination and control. What kept me listening until the end were the nuanced and deeply human accounts of the interviewees’ firsthand experiences of these power structures. Kudos to the team for telling the interviewees’ stories with great care and compassion. My favorite episode was Hierarchy (though Policing was a close second). Overall, this was a great listening experience. I can’t recommend Strongman enough.

This podcast is super interesting. A lot of history has been hidden, and told and re-told to skew it favorably to certain people. I’m so happy to have found it.

One episode in and I find myself writing a review because IT DESERVES ONE. I’m enthralled. It’s satisfying so many parts of my brain while simultaneously shredding all emotional chords...very much forward to ep.2.

Great job being open to and diving in the strong man culture. As a member of the most rich culture in history (Italian) I can def wrap my brain around this pod. Will def recommend to others!

Vice News really has upped the bar lately. For approximately the last 7 months Vice News podcasts haven’t missed. Not once. They have some extremely talented individuals bringing much needed content to the masses. And the don’t. ever. miss. Looking forward the program diving seeping into this dynamic.
