I enjoy listening to Dear Hank and John because it somehow manages to both incalculably increase my anxiety AND make me laugh. And really, I suppose that’s the point of life.

I started listening to this podcast about a year ago and have listened to every episode; Hank and John have done a remarkable job creating a wonderful mix of lighthearted humor and thought provoking discussion and I honestly cannot speak enough to how much their work means to me. This is an amazing g podcast I’ve been listening for the past 2 months and I love it. As I teen I struggle to find good podcasts that I treat me that are still PG. 👍

The hosts are pretty entertaining, but I can’t stomach how much they talk about their primary sponsor. Keep the ads, commercials, and sponsors separate from the rest of the content. Don’t just spring it on us in the middle of a conversation. What even is their sponsor? Something to do with tennis? I’m not looking it up, just unfollowing.

This podcast is amazing for people who like to know random things, and interesting things! Highly recommend!

John & Hank aren’t just my favorite brothers on the internet, they are two of my favorites individually as well. At this point, I’d consume any content they produce. Love you guys! Keep it up!

This podcast is both engaging, relaxing, and incredibly funny. When I get stressed out I listen to this podcast and it calms my nerves. The questions they answer are always funny and thought prevoking, I have learned so much. I am constantly binging the episodes and have probably listened to over 100 in the 3 months I have know about it. I have always been a fan of the Green brothers, but now more than ever.

Episode 400 features one of the most prescient, yet timeless, sentiments I’ve ever heard expressed: “to hold, at the same time, a sense of the need to hope, and a sense of the futility of effort.” Whether it’s discussing the conflicting inner thoughts of cats, or finding new ways to face the world, day by day, the Brothers Green bring their all to create a space of refuge and joy in this crazy world. Being a person is hard, and any advice given in good faith—serious or dubious—is welcome. Thanks for being here, week after week.

John and Hank are two of my favorite commute companions. After years of Vlogbrother viewership, listening to them attempt to stay on topic while answering listener questions, crack each other up, share the news about Mars and AFC Wimbledon, process current events and their own lives is a delight. I look forward to Dear Hank and John every week, and in the meantime I binge on old episodes. I haven’t gotten to the episode that explains “pumpkins and penguins” yet. The Green brothers’ clever humor and musings with often unexpected conclusions make me smile and even giggle out loud. The repeating sections (dad jokes, “sponsors”, mostly unanswered listeners’ questions) bring a sense of comfort that is hard to explain. I am not eloquent, that’s why I don’t have a podcast. Somehow, when I hear “by the way, this reminds me that this podcast is brought to you by…”, followed by whatever hilarious, crazy thing has been said on that episode, then all is well with the world. We are lucky to have extraordinary people like John and Hank Green in this funny little universe of ours, and luckier still that they are willing to be placed into our ears while we do things they don’t know about! Thank you, Green brothers, for everything you do for humanity, which is a lot. Sofia-eeah-oh.

What is there to say that hasn’t been said? Hank and John are incredibly genuine and lovely people who are doing great things in the world. AND are making a sometimes funny sometimes serious advice podcast!

I listen to this when I am sick. It is good.

Let’s be honest, we don’t listen to this because it had an amazing story line like Radio Lab, or great production value like 99% invisible. We listen to it because we love the presenters. That’s all.

This show is part of my life, and I look forward to new episodes, even if Hank and John ramble on. I could literally listen to them talk about nothing, and their humor gives me life! If you get it you get it. My favorite part is the news from mars and AFC Whimbleton-- and John making fun of over half of Hank's dad jokes. Superb!

The silence on the Palestinian genocide is honestly deafening at this point. To make it this far into a conflict that is very obviously a humanitarian and healthcare crisis, which is very well within the scope of your work without addressing it has caused me to feel disconnected with your content. I can’t stand with you due to the lack of response. I’m aware this may not be the place, but it has to happen somewhere.

I vote for loose leaf tea. It’s a higher quality tea and the ritual is great. If you can sell the loose leaf tea infusers and educate your customers on how it’s as simple as the bagged, you might be able to eventually sell the bagged tea since ordering more of the loose leaf. The added cost to the bagged ones can be justified by creating quality jobs in poverty stricken areas to get the bagging done.

I am a 12 year old and if I can enjoy a podcast than anyone can enjoy this podcast. Btw I am watching all the episodes form episode 1

This is the first podcast I will recommend to anyone, maybe even before This American Life. It is almost universally appealing, which sounds like it would be overly broad, nonspecific or boring but it’s not. It’s the most reliably laugh-out-loud feel good funny podcast without punching down or over-relying on gimmicks or references only a handful of listeners will understand. It’s also heartwarming and even very insightful at times. This is by far my favorite creative endeavor of both Hank and John Green, as individuals or together. Unsurprisingly the brothers have a delightful rapport and chemistry that is unmatched in podcasting; together they perfectly balance out/check each other’s personalities and egos ;) Dear Hank & John is I think the most consistently outstanding podcast I have heard (mayyybe tied with Heavyweight or Ear Hustle) where there are just no episodes that really dip in quality.

All of these episodes are good. Episode 379 is the absolute best!

This was recommended to me by daughter a few years back and after consuming every episode I was officially hooked into the world of podcasts. This show makes me laugh, makes me cry, makes me think, and helps me not to think at all. Here’s to 2028 and beyond!
