I’ve listened to the podcast for years. It has very well curated music selections with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host.

Imagine being transported every week from the Rocky Mountains in Cedar Crest, New Mexico, to the Great White Way in New York City. Even though I have never been to NYC, I have learned quite a lot about the history and passion of Broadway, its stars and shows! I truly enjoy B2MS. And I love sharing the program trivia with family and fellow theatre geeks. In fact, during the COVID pandemic, the archive of previous broadcasts brought me comfort at a challenging time. As a teacher, the occasional escape was absolute joy! Thank you, Mr. Maslon!

I came across this podcast about 3 years ago, and it became a regular weekly companion for my long drives. Mr. Maslon’s love and knowledge of Broadway musicals is always on hand, and he has introduced me to shows, songs and singers I am very grateful to have experienced. Truly a jewel.

Every episode of Broadway to Main Street has been a pleasant experience. I especially enjoy the themed episodes, which showcase the breadth and depth of the Broadway genre. I would love to hear one dedicated to the musicals’ great “Beta” couples!

I’ve listened to every single episode of this show and am such a total fan. I’ve learned so much about Broadway and love the varied selection of music. Larry is a great host, and he feels like an old friend now. I also recommend his newest book, I’ll Drink to That. Thanks, Larry, for all the lessons, laughs and great music!

This show has it all. Wonderful music you know and love, for sure. But also lots of gems you might not have heard before. And, in between the music, an approachable but advanced sprinkling of knowledge from a leading profesor of musical theater at NYU. Highest recommendation!

I listened to podcasts where they talk about the show and will play snippets of songs from musicals or shows. I like how you let the full song play. I play this show every night and I could care less if I wake my parents up with me singing along. Although I notice sometimes such as for Bands Visit, the songs “Welcome to no where” or “Omar Sharif” is usually chosen when the show is mentioned. I understand it is popular but the instrumental songs from the show are great. I love the song “answer me” by Adam kantor and I always hope to hear it played but it never is. Lastly I am hoping unless I missed it, you do have a episode on shows made into movies or movies put on stage. Like Peter Pan (Cathy Rigby), Beetlejuice, Lion King, Willy Wonka, Cats (especially the 2020 movie), The Bands Visit, Mamma Mia, Frozen, ect. Just ideas. I love this show. I’m so glad I found it

This podcast is a favorite. For me it’s a great combination of learning about a beloved topic: musical theater; expanding my knowledge of new and familiar shows; hearing familiar and new recordings of great songs. I’ve never met Larry Maslon but I would love to drive across the country with him and sing show tunes the whole time. So glad this show exists! Thank you Larry and WPPB.

This weekly podcast is an absolute treasure for Broadway lovers new and old. Host Larry Maslon's depth of knowledge impressives. He shares tidbits and plays wonderful versions of Broadway songs. I'm an avid Broadway fan and I learn something new every week. Most important of all I just love hearing the music.

It is nice to have stumbled upon something I didn't know I needed in my life.

This is the podcast I've been looking for. I didn't know it existed, but at last I've found it. An intelligent and knowledgeable take on stage musicals. With great versions of songs, some from cast albums, and others not.
