    Realness
The down to earth real nature of these talks is amazing. I am able to connect with the speakers and the message with every listen. Ajahn Brahm’s jokes are top notch.

    More Ajahn Brahm
I appreciate all the talks from the monks and nuns, but Ajahn Brahm deliveries the best dharma talks. But he’s a busy monk so I take what I’m giving. And I’m thankful for every dharma talk.

    Just lost a follower
It’s a shame. I’ve listened to this podcast for a long time. Your Islamic guest speaker likening sexual orientation to drugs and alcohol to avoid agitation of the heart was a cruel statement, in my opinion. Not something I expect to hear on a Buddhist podcast.

The Winnie the Pooh of monks
I am so grateful for Ajahn Brahm and his dharma talks. I’ve learned so much and when I forget what I learned he’s there to gently remind me. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu! - love from Phoenix Arizona!

    Invaluable in its wisdom
I’ve been listening to talks from the BSOWA since 2012. Ajahn Brahm, Nissarano, Brahmali, and others have become fixtures in my life who I always come back to for wisdom to remind me of the truths of life. After growing up in an emotionally and physically abusive family, the monks’ years of talks have genuinely changed my assessment of the problems and trials that life gives us. I can’t thank you all enough for your years of service.

    Wonderful
Makes Buddhist teachings and philosophy accessible to those new to it. Good for anyone who wants to understand Buddhism even on a non-religious basis.

    Even though
People who practice Buddhism are supposed to let go of worldly pleasures, I’m addicted to listening to these monks and nuns!

More people need to know about these! So helpful and informative in learning and practicing Buddhism and learning about life in general.

    Things have changed
I have been listening to this podcast for probably more than 5 years now, although my listening has decreased in recent years. I discovered this podcast when I was a troubled high schooler dealing with anxiety and depression (although I didn’t know it) and this podcast, and particularly Ajahn Brahm, really pulled me through. I listened to “Success without Stress” over and over again. I even repeated some of his stories to my friends when they were struggling. However, I’ve noticed that Ajahn Brahm has changed recently. He talks more about himself, how many books he’s written, where he’s flown to recently. It honestly seems like he’s gotten a big head. I mean, he even thinks he can mentally stop himself from getting sick, and brags about how he can do this and other monks can’t. I can’t bare to listen to most of his talks now, which really makes me sad. I try to listen to the other monks and nuns, but their recordings are often so bad that there’s no point trying. Can we start a Gofundme to get the BSWA better recording equipment? Seriously, it’s such a good podcast, they deserve it! I just wanted to point out that I think a lot of us listeners are sort of entranced by Ajahn Brahm, and he’s not all that.

    A Balm for Everyday Life
Ajahn Brahm alongside the other monks of Buddhist Society of Western Australia have played a major role in my processing of everyday life and moving past pain, guilt, thought, materialism, and much more. I highly recommend you spend some time reflecting with these lovely humans!

    Hmmmm
My first podcast review ever. The BSWA as a whole has been such a gift, such a blessing to me over the past few years. I have become a better version of myself. My compassion and efforts of kindness and gratitude has grown. The talks have both allowed me to accept the present, and yet work for the future I desire. Loosely quoted from a talk, ‘when there is something to do, do it, when there is nothing you can do, stop...have patience until you can do something...’ Gold for the layman, I mean laywoman :) What else could I ask for?!

    Excellent dhamma talks...better meditations
He’s a font of knowledge; a little corny sometimes, but his meditations and instructions are very helpful. Ajahn has a different approach to teaching meditation- relaxation is paramount. I love it.

    Learn Why you do it🤠
Best podcast to understand why you and others do the stupid things and continue to do more stupid things. Also how to stop this cycle.

Buddhism the way it is meant to be ...
I have been listening to talks via iTunes podcast directory and YouTube for years now and Ajahn Brahm is by far the most entertaining and insightful monk I have come across. Wonderful teachings.

    Amazing!
I was introduced to BSWA back in 2003 and downloaded talks regularly. I could not get enough! I even bought "Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung?" By Ajahn Brahm because his stories are so interesting, entertaining, and helped put things into perspective. Was very happy when his talks became available as a podcast. Highly recommend!
