I really enjoy sailing podcasts in general but most are full time cruisers or racers focusing on long passages. This cute sounding couple has created a lil niche for us sail campers/gunkholers. And love the Ronco pocket fishing pole too! Was my second rod and used it well in to my teenage years!

Enjoying your podcast, just keep the politics out of it. Do that and I’ll continue to listen.

This pod is approachable for the sailor moving up the sailing ladder and is well produced. The hosts use their experiences and a variety of interesting interviews to put out a truly enjoyable and inspiring podcast.

I am an avid Sailor & Scuba Instructor. I just love this Podcast. The Sailing Rode is fun, entertaining, educational and well presented. Steve & Brandy do a great job. I am still working on listening to the past recordings. I just started listening a couple of weeks ago. I have cruised and scuba dived in the Exumas many times and really enjoyed hearing about their adventures in episode 5. I particualarly enjoyed the episode talking about Trailer Sailors. Keep up the Great Work and Congratulations on your Marriage!!!

These podcasts are filled with information every aspiring sailor should know before setting off on a cruising adventure. The podcasts are well prepared and they talk about topics you just don't hear about on other sailing podcasts. It's refreshing. Great Podcast, trying to catch up!

These guys give a person all kinds of reasons to get out on the way and explore.

I like sailing podcasts, and this one is done well! Always look forward to seeing a new podcast from these guys in my app.

My husband and I are new sailors, and have really gotten a lot of enjoyment and good information from listening to The Sailing Rode podcast from the beginning. It's been really fun to listen to their progress, and learn from real people making real mistakes from experience! There are many great expert podcasts out there for sailing. I really like that these guys are learning and growing right in front of you! They've sailed two different Macgregor power sailors, which I hadn't hear a lot about before this! Definitely worth checking out.

Just recently having started listening to podcasts in general, and sailing podcasts in particular, I came across Steve and Brandy's show on recommendation. I listened to their recent show on Cruising Biscayne Bay because my brother, wife and I had just recently taken an ASA114 course on the northern part of Biscayne and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their description of their travels, and the style of their delivery - like you're sitting around in the cockpit or on the foredeck enjoying the evening after a great day sailing - got me hooked; the feature topics they cover in their archived shows got me reeled in... I've started listening from episode 1, working my way up through the shows. The mix of travelogues (the Exumas, Key Largo/Islamorada) and interesting interviews (Monday Never, Two Can Sail, Out Chasing Stars) always presents something interesting to listen to, and the sailing news and product of the week add flavor and interest. Hopefully we'll run across Steve and Brandy one of these days when we get back to Florida cruising - I'm sure it'll be a blast. Definitely recommended listening!

I found The Sailing Rode on youtube when looking for videos on some smaller sailboats I was considering. The one at the top of my list is, and was, the Macgregor 26. I quickly fell in love with their videos, and their boat. My list of potential boats is narrowed from a dozen or so to just picking between an older X or newer M. (Funny how the price is about the same on the two, eliminating the easiest decision maker!) Since finding the podcast I've been working my way through them all. Odd how someone you've never met can seem like a friend, but that's exactly how I feel about the crew at TSR.

Steve and Brandy do a great job of putting out useful information on practical sailing. Great stories about their own sailing adventures and what's going on in the sailing world. Thanks guys for the time and effort you put into the podcast!

TSR has move to the top of my "must listen to" list. A great combination of interesting information and interviews, news, and product recommendations. Steve missed his calling in life, he has a natural "radio personality and voice". Keep up the great podcast.

I enjoy the cruising focus of this pod cast not being a racer and interested in sailling. This is an impressive length for a podcast as well as offering lots of different information. I think it is helpful that the hosts state their own goal is to use this information to go sailing. They have skin in this too. Thanks for the friendly and fun presentation.

There are podcasts for the competitive racing sailor, there are those for the experienced blue water yachtsman, but there just aren't many for the trailer sailor, island dreamer, or some day cruiser. Enter "The Sailing Rode". This is truly a sailing podcast for the rest of us. The hosts are down to earth and ready to admit that they are learning and dreaming...just like me. You won't find mega yacht snobbery here. What you will find is a ton of really useful information on how to get out there and SAIL. Each episode is packed with a great mix of hands on information, encouragement, and interesting stories about their adventures on the water. The quality of the production is very good and the content is both useful and entertaining. As an added bonus each episode has some sailing news that you just won't get anywhere else. If it were possible to add stars to a review I would give this one quite a few more. If you are looking for a podcast that will inspire and encourage you in your own sailing adventure then look no further.

This is a great sailing podcast. The hosts have excellent rapport and do a good job of working together to describe events and details.

Its great to hear a sailing podcast by a couple. I'm in the planning stages of buying a boat and this is keeping me occupied and entertained. Hearing the female perspective is good for planing too. :) Product of the week is a great segment and the random stories in the sailing news segment are always interesting. Thanks!

Great recreational cruising podcast. All the others are so focused on technical stuff and racing or making money, it's hard to glean the fun bits sometimes. This one is ukulele friendly and Jimmy Buffet approved.

This is a great podcast about the kind of sailing I do: casual coastal cruising. I enjoyed episode 3 where they talked about the pros and cons of the two sailboats they have owned. They have a regular segment covering great gear to make sailing more enjoyable. I also enjoy the sailing news items they cover. Great podcast.
