My teenage kids who don’t have a podcast have a better podcast.

Scott’s quite the character. This podcast is full of verified news, gossip, predictions, scoops, entertaining commentary, and an unbridled enthusiasm for gambling. He delivers it all with humor. I never miss an episode and always wish they were broadcast more often.

I use to be a fan, and thought the haters were just haters. The fact that he keeps talking about the same plate of fried rice, over and over, leaves me to believe he’s either being compensated to advertise, or gets royalty payments. The trust isn’t really there, as I thought I was getting his true opinion, and not an advertisement. Other than that, the podcast tends to be upbeat and humorous.

Scott is inconsistent in his recording schedule as well as thinking it’s funny to make an unedited rambling podcast that often includes sounds of him drinking. He’s also an anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-being prepared person who says creepy things about women. I wish there was a better source for Vegas locals news, but Scott is what we deserve I suppose.

Been a fan of Scott for a long long time. He’s always made his political views known despite claiming he doesn’t. Even during the covid he was able to see how little sense his views truly make. Yet lately the episodes have contained more realityphobic and anti American sentiment than we need.

There a thousand Vegas podcasts out there yet Vital Vegas is truly the most entertaining and insightful of the ones I’ve sampled. I enjoy Scott’s quirky personality, his self-depreciating humor, and his overall passion for the greatest city in the world.

Chocolate chip cookies, which he is trying to perfect. He compared margarine vs butter in the recipe. I believe margarine is outlawed in Europe and for good reason. Suggest he compare salted vs unsalted butter. Unsalted should be used. Margarine should never be used for anything except maybe as a gear oil.

I really like this podcast for local info and Scott’s weirdness is generally likable… except that he spends 30% of every episode talking about haters and the fact that he’s not paid as an advertiser. Ok, we get it. No one cares about the extensive drama. Put a disclaimer at the beginning and end of the episode and call it a day. I’d rather have 10 extra minutes of content or listicles.

Thank you for everything you do, Scott. I've been a listener for years, and I am always waiting for the next episode to drop. This podcast mixed with your blog and Twitter are all anyone needs to keep up with the everchanging landscape of our favorite playground in the world...VEGAS!

Funny, insightful, off the wall and entertaining podcast about the comings and goings of Las Vegas! Scott breaks more scoop about Vegas news than any “legitimate” news source and predictably he gets trolled for that. Don’t listen to the haters. Vital Vegas is the BEST source for all things Vegas!

Vital vegas is the most informed on all things vegas and the most fun to listen to.

This is my favorite Las Vegas podcast, Scott makes me smile Scott apparently has both ears to the ground and gives news that is accurate. He and his blog are frequently referred to on other Vegas podcasts. I hope that he'll have the time to the podcast more often because we all need to smile a little more! Thanks Scott for my smiles this evening.

Used to be a good podcast. Now its become a poorer less funny version of itself. The podcast consists of Scott laughing at his own jokes, Scott confirming the 1 out 10 rumors he pitched that came true and softball type interviews which sound like infomercials. Scott also plugs shows he got free tickets to as an 'invited' friend by the show producer. The latest episiode 154 is a perfect example of Scott's horrible interviewing skills. Rather then asking insightful questions about El Cortez history, the mob or even Vegas legend Jackie Gaughan. Scott asks lame questions like What makes the El Cortez different? Time to move on to better podcasts.

If i want to have a good time, laughs and inside scoop i would always rely on this one. I just love the sense of humor of this guy. He is very knowledgeable about everything in Vegas but the most, i love his sarcasm and humor. I wish there would be more episodes as i love jogging on Vegas suburbs while listening to him!

Hello Scott, I am a long time listener and have recommended your show to absolutely all of my friends. I love Las Vegas, and how accepting the culture is in the city. Your stories have been comforting through difficult times, and something that I look forward to regularly when you post consistently. I have to say that you really missed the mark in episode 149. Rambling on about not making things political while simultaneously making the subject of the entire episode political is asinine. You made it very clear that you do not believe in equal rights for all humans, and people who affiliate themselves with one party must not be well informed enough to maintain relationships with members of the opposing side. Politics in our country are currently so polarizing because you’re either in support of equitable human rights across the board or you’re not. You should’ve just stuck to let you know like dipsomania and repelling women. I wish you nothing but the life you deserve.

Found this podcast around episode 60 and been listening ever since. So many Vegas podcasts are run by travelers who just love Vegas (and there are a few good ones) but Vital Vegas is run by a Vegas Local who has worked for Ceasers and Fremont Street experience in the past and has his ear to the street (and twitter) and brings the latest news and rumors from reliable sources. Great interviews from people with unique perspective on everything Vegas. Of course more frequent episodes would be great but then I'd lose the suprise of when I see the notification a new episode is up monthly or so.

This would be five stars, since he has such great information. But, he has to stop acting like a sex-starved juvenile.

Scott with all of his humble brags IS the plug. Just wish he would produce more episodes!

Scott Roeben loves Las Vegas. He’s well connected with the people of Las Vegas. When he reports something, more often than not it’s gonna happen. When it doesn’t, he’ll shoulder that as well. The program, co-hosted unofficially by Scott’s favorite alcoholic beverage, shows Scott’s great, self-effacing sense of humor. Which he uses to recount his latest Sin City outings with friends or with occasional podcast visitor Melissa Vegas. If you’re a Vegas regular or occasional visitor, you should prep by listening to Scott.

I checked out this podcast after following VV on Twitter for awhile, I actually prefer the podcast. He pats himself on the back a little much but overall its good info about what’s going on in Vegas and I think the interview segments are very well done (I’m definitely going to see Piff this summer now). That said please keep the drunk girl off the air or edit her out, it was awkward and brought the show quality down a star. SUBSCRIBED

This guy isn’t right a vast majority of the time. He also did marketing for a casino so he will push casinos that pay him. His Twitter is a joke he’s not for locals at all

Poor audio quality a host that gets sidetracked but never misses a chance to pat himself on the back don’t make a great podcasts . he’s ok as a sometimes guest on other pods and in short media appearances but if you can stand more then 10 minutes of him you truly have great inner strength and can probably accomplish anything you set your mind to.

You take all of the worst podcasts you’ve ever listened to, boil them down and you have this. I don’t know what’s worse: his “podcast” or the constant false rumors that he spouts out that turn out wrong. When is the replacement for Classy melissa coming??

I’ve been listening since episode 1 what seems like 100 years ago. Great source of inside scoop. Unvarnished look at Vegas. Probably the city’s number one cheerleader. The audio has much improved since episode 1 😀

I started listening with Episode 1 a little more than halfway through the doldrums of Covid-restricted living. My friends and I had just rescheduled our cancelled October 2020 LV trip for October 2021 and I just wanted to find some things to do that will make this trip more monstrous than ever. However, I rapidly became hooked and just earlier this week “caught up” to the most recent episode! Scott, the host, is a true jokester, but also a remarkably sweet and genuine person. Near endless hours of the pod features him giggling and making jokes at his own expense, but that contrasts wonderfully with more “sober” moments. Because I started with episodes from years ago, I braced myself for episodes at the time of the Mandalay Bay shooting and the onset of the pandemic. Scott is at his best in those moments and processes the experiences in an elegant stream of consciousness that is comforting and authentic. Similarly, Scott interfaces with all of his guests naturally and empathetically, whether or not he likes what they do or offer. Interestingly, I happened to know in advance that MelissaEmre would leave him at some point and was anxious about it, but what I didn’t know is that she would reappear! Their chemistry is charming and easy-going and MelissaEmre is a high value addition to the show, because she understands the tenor of the pod. More so, the fact I was actually anxious for Scott says it all about how well he connects with the audience! I am all-in sold on spending time Downtown when I visit and expect it will be a fabulous embellishment on what is guaranteed to be a roaring great time! THANKS, SCOTT!!!

Say what you will, but having listened to Scott for a while, the information he provides is shared more frequently and earlier than other sources share information. And these “rumors” are often entertaining and pretty darn accurate! I doubt that the members of the Vegas community with such significant influence like Derek Stevens and Jonathan Jossel, to name a few, would bother to talk to Scott on a repeated and regular basis if Scott were anything less than an upstanding individual with the best of intentions for the promotion and discussion of all things Las Vegas. Just sit back and enjoy the scoop, the interviews, the insight and the ride in general and try not to be too jealous of his lady friend and all the recent Royal Flushes! I go to Las Vegas at least once a year. This podcast keeps me updated on all the happenings in my favorite city. Each of my visits have been enhanced from tips and ideas I gain from this podcast. I’ve been a fan of his content since VegasChatter days. He’s entertaining and absolutely has his finger on the pulse of the city. If you love Vegas you’ll love this podcast.

Scott continues to deliver “Vital” information on Vegas that I need to keep me updated as I plan my next trip to the promise land. I love the insights he gives on the bars and restaurants and envy his “luck” at the video poker bars he has had. Keep it up Scott and I know Mitch from the “Tipping the Odds”may someday get his Royal flush if he follows your advice.

You are terrible in all the ways that are great. You give so much and get back so little. The person that is causing you trouble problems probably needs to find something better to do. You are the best scott. That will be $10 for writing this.

Love this podcast. All of the interviews are great and I enjoy how long the episodes typically are since they’re not weekly. Scott makes jokes that he rarely puts out episodes, but each episode is jam packed with content so it’s worth the wait between shows. He obviously has a lot of good connections because he definitely gets the best scoop. Love the snark. Keep it up!!!

Heeding Vital’s call to action on the most recent podcast and writing a review to counteract the haters. This is a great podcast and I always am happy to see a new release in the library. If you want to hear about new hotels, restaurants, bars, and cutting edge shows this is the place. Always some interesting interviews with Vegas movers and shakers. Keeps me in touch with Vegas when I cannot be there as much as I’d like. A great follow on twitter, too.

One of 2 Vegas podcasts I listen to. I’ve been listening to Scott for almost 5 years now. He may be all over the place, and his impressions may be outrageous (pappy), and he may also be really into himself but that’s what makes the podcast entertaining. Just the massive amount of news and scoop he breaks is amazing. Yes it starts as rumors but the vast majority turn out to be true. The fact that Las Vegas news stations frequently have him on to discuss what is going on in the casino industry just validates his position as a leading source. Scott, don’t listen to the nay-sayers out there or people with some sort of personal vendetta. These people are simply envious of your success. Keep bringing the scoop and we’ll keep listening.
