    Sad…
Used to love it. Now the episodes are few and far between, depend on what guests are appearing and the storytelling that I loved is gone. So disappointing. Your book is great but you can’t lean on that forever.

Great content and a must listen for Horror fans
Really enjoyed this podcast right from the first episode. Not only does S A Bradley cover my favorite genre, he talks in a way that makes you feel like your right there with him in the same room. Very well done show and look forward to more.

    Thoughtful and enthusiastic
I really appreciate S. A. Bradley's thoughtful enthusiasm and insights. I had been looking for a horror podcast, and I like how this is such a low-key, measured discussion about horror. I welcome the opportunity to revisit movies I've seen, and I'm excited to learn about movies, genres, and ideas I hadn't considered before. I was a kid who loved horror and I never stopped. Not only is this about the movies themselves, but the exciting feelings that I/we/horror fans attach to them.

    Fantastic horror movie podcast
Hellbent for Horror is my favorite movie or horror podcast, and I’ve listened to a lot of others. The host is a genuine fan, and that comes through in every episode. Everything is professionally done. The guy’s not pushing any agendas, other than celebrating horror, and he makes any listener feel like an accepted part of horror fandom. Great stuff!

    My New Favorite Podcast
Hellbent for Horror is my latest obsession. After discovering the podcast a couple weeks ago, I’ve now listened to dozens of episodes. S.A. Bradley’s unique brand of horror evangelism makes him a treasure to the genre and a joy to the lister. Each episode of the show is smart, insightful, and helps you discover new books to read, new movies to watch, and new avenues to explore. In fact, I love this podcast so much that I’m dreading the rapidly approaching day when I won’t have any unheard back episodes left and I will have to wait patiently for new episodes to post. In the meantime, I’ll keep devouring each episode with enthusiasm, keep digging deeper into previously unknown regions of the genre, and I’ll for sure stay hellbent!

    Intelligent Horror Discussion and Interviews
S.A. Bradley is insightful, honest, and doesn't care if you have different opinions from his own. Like mine, Bradley's definition of horror is broad and inclusive. That means he's able to discuss horror from angles that other podcasts tend to avoid. Unlike podcasts that focus almost exclusively on slashers, vampires, ghosts, and werewolves, Bradley often tackles psychological horror. Moreover, he's able to articulate why we feel what we feel when we watch such films, even when we ourselves are not.

    Wow!
I didn’t expect to like this podcast so much. I’m not a fan of horror, because I believe most of the “stories” emanate from truth. I’m so glad I took the advice from one of my Science Heroes, Lisa Gorski. Be careful, as it’s so easy to get lost in the stories! CANT PUT MY PHONE DOWN! Simply amazing!

No nonsense - just great horror discussion
So happy to have found this podcast. Quality, in-depth discussions of the horror genre and related topics. No gimmicks; no goofy, shock jock-style delivery — just a host who obviously has done the research and knows his stuff sharing his love of horror with the audience. And excellent audio quality to boot. Compelling, enlightening, and refreshing.

If Stephen King had his own podcast!
I imagine this podcast is what it would sound like if Stephen King started his own podcast. The host S.A. Bradley has a deep understanding of the horror genre, and even gives words to themes that I've loved in horror, but didn't know how to express. After reading some nonfiction by the master of written horror, Stephen King, I believe that S.A. Bradley has channeled that spirit and voice into podcast form, and I could keep gushing but I'll stop. If you are a fan of horror and love exploring the themes of horror on a deeper level, this is for you!!!

    A special podcast
There are a lot of horror podcasts but none quite like HELLBENT FOR HORROR. The intimate story-telling reminds me of the monologue Jack Nicholson’s character is recording at the start of THE KING OF MARVIN GARDENS. I feel encouraged to make an art-house reference in my review, because S.A. Bradley connects the dots of horror going beyond familiar genre films and considering other genres and art-forms. I’m so grateful to listen to this show. It’s well-written and lovingly produced. Highly recommended.

The best it horror and film criticism
Hellbent for Horror is an always-fascinating, engaging, personal, and sometimes even bone-chilling piece of audio art. There is no podcast like it. From critical analysis of horror classics to terrifying tales of travels to Iceland, S.A. Bradley has crafted a podcast like no other. It has expanded my horizons as a horror fan and it has made me a better movie-watcher as a result. It is a joy to listen. Every time.

Just the homicidal droid I was looking for.
Okay, I love this podcast. I'm someone who has avoided horror films and stories and novels for a looooong time. With movies - I'm freaked out! With novels - my imagination is too darned good, so - also yikes! (Horror comic books I can take - and in fact, really, really like.) But, of the horror I've seen, I've always respected it. See "The Faculty?" GREAT character parts (just as an example). What S.A. Bradley has done here, as far as I'm concerned, is draw me into the pit of horror - that I kind of always wanted to be in anyway. He's got a *great* voice, and the care with which he composes his 'casts is plain in every word. He really tells STORIES, guys. This isn't random thoughts, bouncing around. This is fine writing, that's been crafted and practiced, so when he tells that next story, it's pure enjoyment to listen too. And boy, does he know his stuff! So many great nuggets of horror-related info that, again, he's able to weave into a terrific story without getting off topic. No boredom here! This podcast is pure class, folks. If you love horror - or even if you just want to know more about it from a real storyteller who has been in that Pit of Evil for longer than he can remember - and has been LOVING every minute of it - this is it.

    Pulling me back in
Ok - I’ve could not tell you the last horror film I really enjoyed since John Carpenter’s Halloween and Vampires. Ignored the whole lot when Centipede 2 came out. But when a passionate host delivers informative discussion, and some story telling - ya got me. Thanks for reopening my mind to the genre and curse you for now binge watching some of the titles you have been talking about. List the movies/directors you talk about in the description to enable easy looking up and you nailed it!
