VicVacSeeMore Conversations = More SalesGreat insight and analogy between in-person interaction and social media interactions. Yes! People want to buy from people they like and how do they get to know you without talking to each other! That's the downfall to social media; there's this weird wall and people stay safe behind it. Your advice was spot on and a worth a try for anyone trying to get engagement through their platforms.

mschecklmanA MUST LISTEN for all artistsWhat Patrick shares is incredible advice for all artists who want to break the “starving artist” stereotype. Patrick is a marketer who understands the times and shares how artists can use the technology today to their advantage. Truly, there’s no better time to be an artist! So start listening and get caught up on these super helpful podcasts!

qgirl1668This podcast is a MUST!I can’t say enough about how much I absolutely love this podcast. Not only is the information spot on for artists and photographers, but Patrick’s delivery is the best! Seriously, I wish there was a new episode every single day. I’ve learned so much!!

Karen WallaceMake the curator episode!I just listened to the Loop episode, and Patrick’s list of all the circumstances in which you should run it was a lightbulb for me. It never occurred to me to celebrate by giving things away! Any excuse! Love it. Looking forward to an episode on how to select and approach content curators to partner in giveaways.

TaofineartPatrick’s the bestI have been listening to Patrick (and sometimes Nick and Patrick talking together) for the past few weeks while working and commuting to the studio. I am learning so much. I’m hopping around the list based on topics. One of my favorites is the one where he talks about the three buckets that most artists fall into. His “rants” really encourage me. I find myself nodding and laughing and ranting along with him, but also feeling challenged to drill down and work harder and smarter. Being in this business all my life since I was 16 (I was a young road warrior artist with my first small business) through various waves and life stages, I wish I’d had this to listen to at the beginning of my art career after I graduated from college with my BFA. I’m mid-career now in midlife. I shared a podcast with my husband who’s super supportive (we support each others career choices and challenges that come with them, neither of our choices are standard fare) and he found it so helpful to hear as a non-artist/partner of an artist. I felt deeply validated listening to Patrick with my husband, it was like having a super smart colleague in the room with us. I feel less crazy and alone listening to Patrick - this path is hard, and many who I started out walking this path with have peeled off, all for different and good reasons, mostly because of discouragement, so it can start to feel a little scary/lonely/insane the longer I go. But it is so rewarding too. And he’s right it does get better and better the longer you stick with it. I still have so much to learn and more to accomplish. Thank you Patrick, your words of wisdom and rants, but also numbers and facts are just so so so helpful. I appreciate the time and research you put in to learning and sharing things about the art business — it’s really motivating to me and makes me want to keep going. You are a great coach. SeebefreeMost resourceful podcast for artistsDiscovered Art Storefronts a few days ago researching possible new site for my art photography and am thoroughly impressed by their concise, high quality & honest information. The most real & practical marketing info for artists I’ve found. And generous!
-
Agassi17Long windedTakes a very long time for host to get to the point. Also, his audio volume levels are continually fluctuating in and out, which is extremely distracting.

McAdamia5Quality production! These podcasts are gold for artists trying to find their way. I am so impressed with not only the podcast, but Art Storefronts as a whole-they just take quality to a whole new level!

D&AWilliamsOutlast the DesertI’m actually signing up for Art Storefronts in literally the next 5 minutes, but I want to promote this podcast. I analyze everything. It’s in my nature. In fact, I’ll be dropping another review in a year, after being onboard with them, to help you, my fellow creators. Everything I’ve experienced so far, before even signing up, has been very valuable to me. I’m an artist who wants to add a new art to my wheelhouse: the art of marketing. I’m not even signed up yet and I’m already listening to Patrick’s episodes, reading articles, and taking notes. In my head, we’re all in this desert, and we either stand there and die, or we look for water. Oh, and we have to drink it. You can find it, but if you don’t apply it, you’re just dumping the water. So I’m drinking these podcasts down and trying to capture ideas that will help me be on the right track, but also STAY on track. Yes, I have to pause my life for 30 minutes or whatever, and yes, I have to roll up my sleeves to put these ideas into practice, but it’s absolutely worth my time! That’s why they call it an investment. I know, as I enter the art world and analyze it, that marketing is critical. So I want to encourage you to invest in this and I also want to appreciate the team.

WNTFcreationsShort and SweetMy recent searches have been for art themed casts. This is exactly what I needed. Episode #29 is a gem — a really simple solution.
-
OnTheWallPhotoGreat Info in a simple presentationI have been listening to this for a couple years and they are very direct on explaining their methods. Of course its a sales pitch too for their service, but a lot of information is handed out for free to people who listen and are just starting to dip their toe into selling their own products. This is probably my most looked forward to podcast each week.
-
Jeanne Art + PhotographyTerrific resource!I've been listening to these podcasts for the past three weeks, and it's like getting a marketing education from a firehose. The podcasts have caused me to look at my marketing in an entirely different way. Great stuff.

NeWriter13Focus on the positive.I would love to be able to listen to your podcast but I find it very difficult to follow when you’re constantly talking about don’t don’t don’t. Could you please focus on what works in a positive manner and leave out all the negativity.

Pasta TimeReally Great Practical Advice for ArtistsThis show has such great advice for selling art. I’ve used many of the ideas they’ve discussed and I’ve found nearly all of the techniques I’ve tried to be extremely successful. I’m very grateful for everything they’ve shared publicly, as their advice also applies to folks like me who aren’t Art Storefront members. The information they share ages well, so I recommend you start with episode 1 and work your way through. I am a fan of the host, Patrick, as he balances the “get out there and sell” attitude with a softer human side that is easy to relate to as an artist.
-
D@daIs he eating candy? This is a good source of information and motivation, which is very much needed for starting your own art sales. I wish instead of plugging their own service so much that they would discuss the use of social media platforms more, as I think this is the way to get more people interested. But something that really bothers me, is the host esting a bonbon or mint while recording? It sure sounds like it, and its a real off putting. 😬
-
EmersonfotoTimely, useful business info for artists and photographersThe folks at Art Storefronts consistently provide excellent, useful, high level information and guidance for artists and photographers. Whether you are using their platform or not, they provide actionable advice that is relevant right now, for free, on their blog and podcast. Highly recommended!
-
PeaStain5Sorry Guys, I gotta say it.Oh man....I used to love this podcast. It had actionable, useful advice for artists learning to market their work. But lately it’s been sales pitches for their service disguised as marketing advice. Folks on the Zoom call will ask a detailed marketing question and they will say “it’s in the action plan”. But then someone will ask a basic “just getting started” question and they will say, “this is basic knowledge”. I get that they need to save some of the action plan for their customers, but this is no longer helpful to the original audience. It pains me to say all of this because it used to be my favorite show! Patrick, please return to the original format! We miss you.
-
jilljacks553Awesome InformationPatrick is an excellent teacher—he breaks things down step by step and makes advertising my art biz attainable. Many many thanks for sharing your knowledge!
-
LeeanneBrennanBinge-Worthy!!I started on the first episode and have been listening for hours on end while I paint! Learning so much and getting excited to start my marketing plan with such detailed, no-fluff advice. My only pet peeve is that the host uses phrases like "the year of our lord" and Christmas and church instead of Holiday and place of worship, which gives it a wierdly Christian/religious angle at times. BUT, that aside, I can totally get past it to absord all of the great content. Thank you for putting your knowledge out there!
-
Clairebear17278THE Podcast for Artists looking to sell online and who isn’t?The most actionable podcast I listen to. Patrick gives you all the meat without any fluff and he shows you how to do what he talks about with videos! He is clearly passionate about marketing art and has helped me up my online game.
-
ZuptupSo great!Awesome, clear, easy to follow tactics and strategies. Wish I had found this podcast years ago!
-
FfhgfgdsgguhtffSolid Marketing AdviseThis show offers solid marketing device on how to use social media and email in order to find more customers and keep them. If I could sum up the content of this podcast, I would say that “Marketing is Everything” when it comes to our success. There is no silver bullet, but they put you in place where you can move forward, and see constant progress. It is created by the Art Storefronts company, but they do not hard sell the Art Storefronts software. I am not a customer of Art Storefronts, but it does look like a solid platform to provide the creative with an online gallery. Eventually, my goal will be to transition to this software, but for now, I just keep using the marketing advise and move forward!
-
BgraxGreat showThankyou for your efforts. Great show. Plenty of actionable tips for longterm growth. Worth your time!! BG
-
HallieSullivanGood info but delivery needs improvementLoved all the helpful info but the announcer has a very low octave voice and his delivery can be hard to hear. Turning up the volume doesn’t help. It’s easy to miss the end of his sentences and key words.
-
emvaroActionable adviceThere’s no fluff or filler in this podcast. The steps and playbooks Patrick sets out are practical, real life strategies. One of the most useful listens I’ve found for my small business and selling my art!
-
Mark A. E.Most useful art marketing discussion I've foundI've listened to ALOT of art marketing podcasts. In my opinion, this one is the most useful and practical. I've been bummed that they seemed to have stopped this year but Patrick recently started them up again! Please keep them coming, I've learned so much!
-
Rabbott5080Good solid marketing fundamentalsPatrick does an awesome job with great content that works. Keep it up!
-
NorotoroExcellent!!Patrick is both entertaining and helpful. Very useful information explained in a very palatable and digestable way. We need more podcasts like this!
-
allenjmillerBest resource for artist MarketingI can't say enough positive about the Art Marketing Podcast. The practical advice from Patrick and the rest of the ASF team has helped me overcome the biggest challenges of my career as an artist. Far from the typical vague marketing advice that you get from other sources, this resource provides detailed direction and comprehensive steps to take to improve the work of art marketing. It is very practical, and certainly worth the cost. Do yourself a favor and check out the Art Marketing Podcast today.

SethasaurisI needed thisMy father was a professional artist with this huge career before the invention of the internet. He passed away last year and every since I have been working to promote his work in his honor. I was struggling with how to get it all out there. I made a website, Facebook, Instagram, had an exhibition but was still lost in how to promote the work. I thought people would just go to the site and buy prints. I need to make sales in order to fund the preservation of the work and after being a little frustrated with only a small amount of success I discovered this podcast. The information contained herein is extremely valuable. I have learned so much from you so far and I have not even listened to all the episodes yet. Thank you so much. artronautLove it!Love this podcast! I’m a pro artist and find it super useful and value-packed. Please keep it up! One recommendation: check your mic settings. On my end, it sounds like sometimes random words will cut out depending on speaking volume or where you (the host) are relative to the mic. :)
-
wennemarYes!Finally a focused podcast that speaks directly to the artist about the business of being an artist!
-
Art Haus for JusticeThank you for the Awakening!I binged on your podcasts this weekend and now am admittedly overwhelmed by what I need to do, but excited to have an action plan! Thank you so much!!
-
simonandalexisA Must-Listen-To for ArtistsI am very, very thankful for this podcast and for it’s helpfulness. I get a lot of ideas from it. Some episodes are better than others (but isn’t that always the case with a series?) but I especially appreciate the ones that introduce me to new marketing techniques that I didn’t even think about or dream existed. It feels like having a friend who has your back. I appreciate it. I also appreciate any podcasts that motivate me to continue working because sometimes making art and the business of art can be a very solitary enterprise and so it’s good to have a little encouragement. Thank you Patrick & the Art Storefronts Team!
-
vivwillMarketing is Awesome for Artists to KnowEp 23 was great but the host waas like ok "iterate, it's like any business" which I do think it a limited way of thinking of art. basically it's "paint what folks want" but art often comes from a different place, I rather say paint what you love and enjoy and which expands folks in some way- and find your audience... then iterate, adjust if you choose.
-
Gwendolyn Greyso close!I've been recently listening through all the episodes, and while there's a lot of helpful content, you REALLY need to lighten up on the constant sports metaphors. The whole podcast is very male-centric, in a 'crack open a cool one, fella's, let's go crush it online so I can kick back and watch the game' kind of way. It feels very out of touch when over 50% of the art world is female and nearly all of the male artists I've ever known have been totally ambivilant about sports. Know your audience a bit better, please!
-
InkplowActionalible AdviseGreat podcast. I am about 10 episodes in and have lots of relivant and use info to now put into action. Looking forward to new episodes and following along.
