    Eating my words
A couple of years ago had given a previous review slightly disappointed at the way some of the topics were handled (seemingly insensitive), and I stopped listening for a while bc of it. Two years later, I decided to give the podcast a chance again and Ive been pleasantly surprised at the growth and values of the podcast hosts. I’m having to do some introspection as well, about giving people grace when handling sensitive topics. Glad I’m back to listen, and will continue for a while.

    Can’t listen anymore
Lots of ballsy statements made. Mother who died giving birth “putting herself out of her own misery” YOU are evil.

You gals are hilarious! I’ve started listening from the beginning, it’s going to take me a while to catch up! Love you ladies

    Love these gals!
Absolutely adore this podcast! I started with a few more recent episodes, and am currently listening from the beginning, and the only thing I don’t like is that it took me until 2025 to find this podcast! Everyone is so relatable and funny, and I’m currently on episode 103 where they just announced the start of GACC and I can’t wait to hear the first one!! (They also asked for reviews for the first time so here I am keep reminding people gals!) love love 10 stars if I could Xx

    Funny
I use to love this podcast lately it’s gotten too political for me plus it’s gotten kinda random for the stories. Still enjoy the occasional listen though.

    2 is better than 3
Yooo, long time listener… I’ve been waiting for the comment to come to me, or my “decision” to actually rate or review after all these years. This podcast was at a 95% favorite for me for years. Then Kenyan left… has been gone….. its taken it up to 150%. Who knew!? Not me. Anywho thank you Lucy and Amanda for making every day, or most days absolutely the best. I ammmmm a Lucy through and through. Hope to meet you gals some day. Xoxo B

    TRUMP
Feminist Dems, social justice warriors. 🤡 I listened for years but way too political. ✌🏽

    Yuck
As soon as I heard “feminist” I tuned out.

    Hilarious and highly entertaining
The gals do such a great job of telling true crime tales with levity, humor, sensitivity, empowerment, and activism.

I like it even more now.

    Dear lord
Is this a true crime podcast or a political podcast? Like stop talking about politics and just get on with the actual story your trying to convey.

    WOW
Tried to listen to this podcast after find them through another podcast I love but the literal hypocrisy of these women and their constant disparaging remarks about America, our democracy, our heritage, our government and our history was disgusting. I could no longer listen and I unfollowed the show as I will not allow this type of disgusting behavior to assault my ears.

    Funny and Entertaining
Pretend podcast brought me here (thanks, Javier!) these gals are very funny and I’ll be binging their pod for the next four years!

    My new favorite podcast
Update: I wonder if it’s time to consider adding a (new) third host. I consider myself pretty progressive but I fear we are having the exact same conversations about policing, adhd, autism, etc over and over and over since this has become a two lady show. Almost every pod I listen to has a strong progressive bent and these topics are important but it’s getting a bit repetitive and stale here. Love the GAC guest hosts and honestly think a third host could help keep the pod fresh and on track. Just my two cents. Love this podcast! I can't tell Lucy and Kenyon's voices apart but they're both great, and Amanda is hilarious. I love the brusque, off the cuff style, and Lucy/Kenyon always adds great feminist points.

    Love these gals!
    Great podcast and awesome hosts!

    Better than before
Personally I like the show better now that Kenyon is gone…she is kinda a pompous snob
  • Cant Stop Wont Stop Podding
    Poorly researched
The hosts are very funny and have great banter but their true crime segments (vs the history Lucy provides) seem pretty poorly researched and often are based on Wikipedia entries almost entirely. I recommend people try the Sinisterhood podcast instead - the difference in research and effort is MASSIVE and it shows. Sinisterhood is an 11/10.
  • TildaJean
    Too much blather
I tried to listen, but there’s so much nonesense and too little focus. A waste of time

    Environmental Crimes
Not great gals - the ranting went wayyy to long.

    True Crime Gateway
These gals were my introduction to true crime podcasts during lockdown. I’ve been a loyal listener ever since and will remain so. They were my gateway to discovering lots of other great podcasts, too. I’ve laughed out loud at work or in the grocery store more times than I can count and I even dislike wine a little less now actually. I’m sure that Kenyon leaving was a huge change after all these years but I think Lucy and Amanda are doing a great job rolling with it. It may take awhile for them to readjust the dynamic and get back into a comfortable groove without her but that’s ok!!!! Just keep on doing what you’re doing, ladies. You’ve got my support and my everlasting gratitude(?) for being the source of my true crime hyperfixation and many sleepless nights.

    Are we just giving up?
Recent episodes were so badly researched and so wildly incorrect that as a fan for 5+ years I’m questioning everything I’ve ever heard on this show. I get that Amanda thinks her personality is enough to carry the workload here, but it’s not. The actual topic of the show still matters. Winging everything is ruining this show. And we just gave up on the wine aspect years ago.

Like having a conversation with friends
One of my friends recommended this show to me at the beginning of the summer. I was NEVER a podcast person and then I listened to serial (way late to the game I know) and was looking for something to listen to next. Since then I’ve listened to more than 100 episodes. I have it on in the car, while cleaning, while cooking, while playing games on my phone, etc and always love it. Perfect combination of hilarious, insightful, educational, and the right amount of disturbing lol would highly recommend!

    Sloppy
The hosts are funny and charming, but the research and “facts” are all over the place or nonexistent. There are just some basics like the timing of the The McDonald Triad (it was not the Mindhunter people), names of victims (too many questions about Girly Chew’s name. The woman was murdered. Zip it.), Burke and Hare in the 1920’s (only 100 years off). Not researching the difference between secretors/non-secretors. Do you not have a computer or phone nearby to check that in the moment? And not knowing that “Overkill” is a word used by law enforcement and courts to describe a particular kind of homicide—that it’s not just slang. The list goes on. I heard them on RedHanded and loved their humor but the podcast hasn’t held up. If you want well-meaning, funny hosts, they’re great. If you want to trust you’re being informed correctly, just don’t. I wanted to love this podcast but the secretor/nonsecretor and overkill broke me. If an hour is spent on setting up context and terms for the crimes, it’s a responsibility to get it right.

    Used to be my favorite…
I’m all for the exit of Kenyon with her pro-genocide stances, but now since it’s just the two of them it’s become The Amanda Show. Constantly interrupting and talking over Lucy and making everything about herself. Lucy has always been my favorite and it seems like she is doing all the work now as well. I’ll still listen every now and then but yeah, it’s just obnoxious.
  • Bethany_Ann
    My favorite podcast 💕
I’ve been listening for years! These gals feel like friends. I love listening to them laugh, tell stories, elevate the voices of victims and use their platform to inspire change. The best!!!
  • SammiYJo
    Love!
I love listening to these girls and laugh no matter the episode! One of my favorite podcasts, even though I’m a Wisconsin gal. :)

    Followed from a Red-Handed ep
The wine reviews are great! The thematic episodes are fascinating. Their banter is a blast. I’m really enjoying this and don’t know how I’ve never listened before. I highly recommend this podcast and will be sending friend this way.

    Terrible guest spot
These 2 blew their guest spot on Red Handed so badly! I would have loved to have added another true crime podcast to my rotation, but these hosts were so obnoxious, ignorant and unpleasant to listen to, I’m completely uninterested in checking them out. Also, the “American” disses that they consistently use throughout that episode were totally unnecessary. You guys actually managed to perpetuate the negative American stereotype in a way that was embarrassing to listen to 👍🏻
  • CRR1988
    Still platforming terrible people.
This time it’s the self-hating racist TERF, Suruthi Bala from the GARBAGE RedHanded podcast. If you bother to listen to a single episode of RedHanded, you will find Suruthi saying terrible things about black and brown people, calling BLM and police-accountability activists “radical extremists,” they hire outspoken transphobes to collaborate on their terrible book, belittle women and downplay the constant abuse hurled at women. RedHanded is trash and you’re trash for having them on your show.

I have been listening since 2019 ! Thank you for always saying the quiet thing out loud!!

    Forever a fave
Love this podcast. Been listening for 3+ years! However, take this as you will, but not a huge fan of the guests for GAC. They add nothing and makes me wanna skip those episodes
  • PoshHurricane
    Zero Stars
Their collaboration on the Redhanded podcast was beyond embarrassing. These ladies had the opportunity to expand their audience but instead were so unbelievably ignorant and obnoxious that the episode was unlistenable. Thanks for perpetuating that same American stereotype.

I don't want to catch up, this podcast gives me life!
It's such a perfect combo of information, story telling, humor, banter, etc. I learn so much, and die laughing. Idk if it's because we're around the same age but the hosts seem to totally nail my sense of humor. 10/10. Chef's kiss. No notes 💕

    Best podcast ever
Started listening in July of 2024. I’m hooked. laughing so hard I’m crying.

    These people are my friends?
Wow. I’m updating my review because I’m listening to episode 200, Lucy is killing her song, and I look bizarre walking my dog alone and bursting out in obnoxious laughs. If you aren’t listening to them already, I could not recommend the Wine and Crime gals more. It’s like sitting at the cool girls’ table at lunch, chatting about all things true crime, while sharing an order of mozzarella sticks. Thanks y’all for all you do!
  • RivkaBelle
    Used to Love this podcast
Now it’s a rant by spoiled privileged white gals about not much. In the beginning the wine pairing was worth enduring the intro. I haven’t heard a wine pairing for months that’s been worth the drivel the show has become! I’m done.

    Love it!
I am so loving the show in the last couple months. I loved it at the start, fell off for a bit but the energy of Amanda and Lucy has just reinvigorated the whole show lately. They are so fun and relatable.

    ❤️
The gals (for the most part)make the flyover states look good!!! Update: Still amazing, love each of these Queens, especially Lucy and Kenyon!!! Amanda’s ok too! 2024: Wow, totes unable to call it. In fact Amanda and Lucy are wonderful humans who are here to have fun, entertain but to also grow and learn. She who shall not be named but whom I’m sure is still a friend to them both had that bad B infallibility energy and such is the downfall of giants. They’re greT tho

Wine, Crime, and too much time???
If you’ve ever sat around with your best friends at brunch with a cocktail or mocktail AND talked about that “horrible” or “odd” or weird” or “random” crime in the news…THIS IS THE PODCAST FOR YOU! I suggest starting with the episode “cats in wigs” 😂😂😂 I actually cried laughing it was SO funny. Great job ladies (still miss Kenyon).
  • RaeDoesThat
    Oh yeah, you betcha.
I might be slightly obsessed with this podcast. If you have a dark sense of humor, some dad joke vibes, and a love of true crime...stop here. Ever growing and always entertaining, The Gals will keep you laughing and crying and swearing and possibly screaming into your pillow. I highly recommend contributing on Patreon for the extra content. And the ‘worst Minnesotan accents’ make me feel at home. PS- I only recently found out if you put swear words in your review, Apple won’t post it. So there’s that.

    I love this podcast!!!
I'm a spotify gal so it's taken me a while to figure out how to leave an ITunes review oops! To counteract all of the Alans in the world (yeah of course not all Alans) I need to say I LOVE THIS PODCASTTTTTT. Amanda, Lucy, and (rip I love you) Kenyon are the most smartest couple of broads I've ever had the pleasure of listening to in my life. I CONSTANTLY have an episode playing whether its with my morning coffee, working in the lab, or falling asleep (the harsh vowels seem to soothe me). I've always been quite liberal and socially aware, often moreso than my peers, so hearing you proudly voice your opinions and wise elder millennial knowledge has been so inspiring and reminds me that there are truly good people still out there (Lucy I know that's a run-on sentence but I'm a STEM gal). 5 stars aren't close to enough to describe how amazing this show is!

I love the 2 Wine & Crime gals! I’ve been listening since 2017 and feel like a part of the friendship while also learning about background and psyc as well as true crime stories! Y’all keep up the great work! 🩵

    Wonderful show!
I discovered this podcast by complete accident while lookin for something to listen to while I work on crafty things. I’ve fallen in love with it! I’m very behind only in the first hundred episodes but I am so excited to see where they go! Let’s get it girls! From a fellow Midwesterner in Missouri!

    Ugh
Almost a full hour before getting to the first story. I don’t know what happened to this podcast 🤷🏻‍♀️. I need to go shopping for another podcast
