River999These two guys do a great jobI’ve really enjoyed listening to these guys. They do a great job. I listen every night for about 10 or 15 minutes. I’m on my third listen of the series, like the show, there’s lots of little tidbits that you missed the first time.
-
Customer spending moneyStill the bestStill the best. I’m listening for the 3rd time over the last few years and it’s still the best. Funny, knowledgeable and made be true fans. So good.

SellfoneBy far, the best Colombo podcastI’ve listened to them all, but this is the one. Sean and Steve come up with a perfect blend of good pacing, great content, great chemistry between hosts, and a genuine love of the original show to come up with the best of the many Columbo podcasts. They also don’t commit the cardinal sin that ruins SO many podcasts…they actually stay focused and on topic (how simple is that?). I’ve seen all of the episodes of the show and have listened to all of the Confab episodes. Now when I rewatch any episode I re-listen to that episode’s podcast and I still enjoy it. Great job on this one guys!!
-
LindaYogaGirlGuys!New listener here—yes, as another listener said, you MUST cover ELLERY QUEEN—the greatest tv mystery series of all time. Trust and believe, and thanks! Really enjoying the Columbo pod. Also, you are WRONG about Dead Weight—Eddie Albert—as the worst episode—it’s because you’re not a woman—the daddy-issues between Suzanne Pleshette and old man Ironhorse are layered and fascinating! 😉 Love the pod.
-
Kivrin EngleEvergreenThis podcast, like “Columbo” itself, never gets old. I’m probably on my fifth hearing of most episodes. Steve and Sean weave the banter into the recap, veering into fascinating rabbit holes, but always returning to admiration of the show —even when they are hate-watching a klunker.
-
mikec843Earthy HumorIf you like Columbo, drinking, foul language, shoes, laughter, and drinking, this is the podcast for you! Sean has seen every episode multiple times and knows them backwards and forwards. Steve can't remember the episode he watched last week. Together they have a great time discussing each episode. A must-listen for Columbo fans. Did I mention there's also drinking?

LEcklund728Fun Listen for Columbo FansI started listening to this podcast which I found on accident while the other Columbo podcast I like was on a break. I got through this rather quickly because I took several cross-country drives this summer. I wish I had been listening while the podcast was current and I would have been able to email my compliments. I love your wacky scoring system, I love that you do not research—you just have fun talking about a show you love! This was my favorite show to watch as a kid and when the TV Guide would come in the mail I would go cover to cover looking for Columbo episodes. I never watched all of the 90’s episodes because I really didn’t like them. Now that you have discussed them and I own the Boxed DVD set I plan on watching all of them! I’m a 59 year old female who grew up in Northern California with three younger siblings and they all love Columbo as well. My sister and I discuss Columbo quite often and I always thought we were dorks and the only people doing this—Thank you for doing this podcast your rambling had me cracking up! I can’t wait to see what podcast you tackle next! Stay safe❤️ Lorrell

Nil demandGreat podcastWish I had known about this while they were still making new episodes

Columbo GirlLOLThe funnest banter yet😂 Steve was on fire😂🔥

scarletotarahUnnecessary profanityWould’ve liked to enjoy this but put off by the language.
-
Dtj28Great PodcastI love listening to you guys talking about each episode. It’s highly entertaining!!!!!
-
JimCity3000Fun listenIt’s great listening to you two gab about my favorite show, particularly because Columbo isn’t a current topic that tends to be a hot discussion at the workplace or among my friends. In your review of Dagger of the Mind, you said this was only one of two episodes involving two murderers; but you’re incorrect! (Unless I misunderstood you). You didn’t mention the very last episode where this was as much of a two-killer scenario as Dagger of the Mind was. I regret discovering your podcast so late into your making of it, because I think you’ve pretty much covered most if not all the episodes by now, but I enjoy watching episodes, and then listen to your discussion of it. Great job!

dian de momerieThe Premier Columbo PodcastHonestly this is the best podcast for fans of Columbo. It’s absolutely hilarious, the hosts clearly enjoy talking about the show, and it’s not all serious and analytical. They never have any guests, which is awesome because sometimes a bad guest ruins an episode in other podcasts that shall remain nameless. It’s just Sean and Steve and our favorite Lieutenant. I’m unsure why people have complained about the language, it isn’t excessive and honestly, the show Columbo itself is about murder. Ya know, killing people? If your kids are listening, you should probably ask yourself why you’re fine with murder and not strong language. And if it bothers you, yourself? Tap the brakes on your covered wagon and redirect yourself to the 1800s.
-
wintertime51Great ListeningDo you love Columbo? Do you know everything about Colombo? Do you expect these guys to know as much as you ? Who cares!! This podcast is so much fun. I discovered it a couple of months ago and have been blowing through it with glee. Ordered the dvd collection, now have to go out and find a DVD player. Love these young men.
-
ButlerNYCBest Columbo PodcastThis is a terrific podcast. Hosts are very funny, know the show well, and have great chemistry. Many times I’ll find myself watching a Columbo episode off my shelf just so I can listen to another episode of the show. That they review the episodes in random order at first bugged me a little but it got me to finally sample the later episodes many of which were a lot better than I imagined. So they were right again 😁 If you love Columbo I couldn’t recommend this podcast higher.
-
Diamondbed86Enjoying!Can’t believe didn’t know of show until now. Looking forward to binge listening.
-
Steve of Planet EarthThis show is unlistenableGreat topic but each episode could be 30 compelling minutes if not for the inside jokes and useless banter between Not Steve and Not Sean. Amateur at best. This podcast is basically a phone conversation between two friends.
-
Crumpled Brown BagFunny and Spot onAs a lifelong Columbophile, I enjoy this podcast. The guys really balance comedy with plot dissection and even a bit of legal analysis. I have enjoyed catching up and look forward to the next one. One more thing....it’s a crumpled brown bag full of fun.
-
Plucky PlucianoRemarkable, Just RemarkableGreat show guys. I give it a 68 out of 68 (number of Columbo episodes). Hey can you cover Murder by Death at some point. Not a Columbo episode but fun Peter Falk movie where he plays Sam Diamond and dresses similar to Lt Lucerne from the Fade into Murder episode.
-
Jenniferw215Just a fun look at one of my favorite detective shows! If you just want to hang out listening to a couple of guys talking about Columbo this is a fun podcast. They don’t claim to know everything, they are just talking and sharing their take on the show. I like that they intersperse clips from the show and I usually end up wanting to find the episode and rewatch the show, even though I have seen them all multiple times. Thank you for giving me an enjoyable way to pass the time while commuting!

Tim S. TurnerLike hanging with two drunken buddiesRight up front, let me just say that not only am I a huge fan of COLUMBO, but also a bug listener of COLUMBO related podcasts. I was lucky enough to be a guest on the JUST ONE MORE THING podcast, and now that I've listened to the entire COLUMBO CONFAB catalog, I wish I could be a guest on this one. Sean and Steve always sound like they're having a great time, and that good time in infectuous for the listener. Granted, there's been times when I wanted to throttle Steve with his whole, "Mrs. Columbo doesn't exist" B.S., but overall, it's a rollicking good time. Keep up the good work, guys!
-
CWinIrvingGlad the Guys are BackAs someone who greatly enjoyed the Tardis Tavern, I'm happy to report that the Columbo Confab is just as enjoyable (or just as reprehensible...depending on your tastes and tolerance for meandering asides). Columbo is a show that I remember from repeats growing up, but this podcast has encouraged me to really explore the program, especially since I hadn't really seen the 80s and 90s episodes, and I am loving it. On a purely personal level, growing up DFW, I enjoy the more local perspective...but then again, I don't live in LA so what do I know about TV? Cheers, guys.

ContrariBetter than What's in Last PlaceI love Columbo and I always want to hear what other people have to say - little details or theories that will make my next viewing more interesting. Steve and Sean don't prepare very well, and seem to be a little bit buzzed, so they can't remember points in the story line that they supposedly reviewed before recording. They also know little about the era during which these shows were filmed and often sound very dumb. i.e.,Japanese gardeners in Los Angeles during the 70's, which they think were racist in the CASTING, as if it weren't a cultural thing, similar to Hispanic gardeners in later decades. However, they do occasionally have some interesting comments and they are good humored. One huge mistake recently: they reviewed "Mrs. Columbo" which had nothing to do with the original Columbo except the name. Then one of them started trashing Shera Danese, Peter Falk's wiodow, who did not appear on Mrs. Columbo, but DID have some comic roles on the Columbo series. This was in reference to a loud and nasty (and one-sided) public attack by Peter Falk's daughter on her step-mother after Falk's death. Miss Falk was never on any show. The Mrs. Columbo show had no relation to the Columbo show. Shera Danese was Falk's legal wife for 30 years and his guardian in his last days. Sean (or Steve) accused her of 1. being a terrible actress (which is a fair review although I think she was delightful in her lightweight roles). The show used many actors repeatedly in small and large parts) and 2. Not taking proper care of her husband in his latter days) no evidence at all; slanderous to Ms. Danese who is still alive; and irrelevant to a podcast about an entertainment show that had no relation to Peter Falk, his estate or any member of his family. For second wives who have been caught between their husbands and his estranged children, I had to say this was unneccesary and very ugly.

Blues Traveller 2000Sometimes profanity is necessaryThe Columbo Confab fellas bring a funny and smart take to the Columbo rewatch pod sub genre. It’s laid back, easy going and a lot of fun. Not sure what some previous reviewers were saying about profanity — this is a classy joint! And sometimes profanity is needed, so deal with it.
-
saltyessentialsWell, my wife, she says I'm second best but, uh, she claims there are 80 fellas tied for first.I've been a Columbo fan since I was a kid, watching the episodes at first run. These guys do a nice job of keeping things light and entertaining, going deep enough into each episode to satisfy someone who knows the episodes well. I'm only a dozen or so episodes into the 'cast, as I'm going first to last, so way behind the current episodes. As for the language, not a detractor for me, and there are other worthy Columbo 'casts out there with the clean language label attached. One thing on the technical side that's a downer: Sean naturally speaks quite a bit louder than Steve (who's quite soft spoken) does. This leads to a lot of turning the volume up to catch what Steve's saying and then getting blasted when Sean chimes in. Dunno if you guys have the ability to level things out in post or not, might be a good idea if you could swing it.
-
Cassie RoyaleFunnier Than Fielding ChaseI don’t understand the criticism about the foul language and the hosts not doing their homework. There is some swearing, but it’s not to Joe Pesci levels. The hosts are really entertaining, from their assessment of the show (and they do go into detail) to the side trails that Sean goes on after which Steve inevitably has to pull him back on topic. Recommended for all columbiphiles!
-
AMILLBadI couldn’t make it through one episode. Way too much profanity. Also, they didn’t seem to really do their homework on the series.
-
Alb TurnerToo much profanityWould be much better without foul language. Ruins a good thing.
-
tkflightSome change needed...This is a great podcast. And if you really love Colombo, you will appreciate the content. The poignant observations (ie the airplane scene in “Any old port in a storm”) of 70’s culture is spot on. However any real Colombo enthusiasts know that the 70s era of the show was really the only era that mattered. I wish the guys would not waste time on the 80s and 90s episodes and do a deeper dive into the 70s. Those were the golden era of Columbo...
-
marye7077LanguageI’m very disappointed with the use of foul language. It distracts from the speakers insights and it is a lazy form of communication.
-
theAteamFun light and not too seriousI enjoy the podcast as a casual listener wanting to explore the fun that Columbo is to watch. Just because they don’t live in LA doesn’t mean they can’t be a great podcast. Thanks guys!
-
Athena D.AthenasYou Guys! I just love 💝 💕 your podcast. So glad that there are thousands of us addicted to Columbus . I really hope it gets a reboot with Mark Ruffalo ( can’t wait) Anyways, keep it up and good luck! Oh , one more thing 😇😍😅
-
AvidRiderFun podcast, great topicLove this podcast. Even though they occasionally veer off topic or make some pretty bad jokes - it’s all in good fun, and it helps allay my deep sadness that Columbo is no longer running. All good things must come to an end sometime, but these guys make it a little more bearable. Thanks!
-
zorkguyDisappointingToo bad they decided to make this a family unfriendly show by peppering it with a lot of profanity and vulgarities. If not for that I would listen to it.
-
DAPlouffeI grade this podcast a 68 out of 69Out of all the Columbo podcasts that are out there, Sean and Steve are my favorites. They have a fun podcast that actually runs longer than the episode itself with lots of interesting facts as well as their personal opinions about the episode. I enjoy their grading system, which varies each episode from some number seen or heard in the show. My grade in the title is based on the 69 Columbo episodes. They even make the '90s episodes enjoyable. Thanks for creating this podcast!
-
bellaroo2010As Lt. would say Not Bad!As a lifelong fan... even have a Columbo tattoo, I think you guys are great. I had listened to the Scottish chaps every episode and gave the ...Just one more thing podcast a try.... they are just too all over the place for my taste. Your podcast is a happy medium you follow the episode with shenanigans along the way. I drive quite a bit and have binge listened to all your episodes to date. Since I’m now caught up I try to watch the episode you’re going to cover next so I’m up to speed. Keep up the great work... Cheers!
-
Mmm101crazyoneVery Good!Love it!!! An absolute joy to listen to. Too much? Say good night Steve!! That was suppose to be funny sorry guys. Really enjoy it and you are great to listen to.
-
edoug66A fun podcastWhat makes a podcast great? Interesting podcasters? Check Interesting subject? Check A fun way to relive your favorite Columbos from new perspectives. And where does Columbo go on vacation? Chile of course.
-
mikek2525Great podcastLove your podcast. But Mrs. Colombo is totally real.
-
TexasnnieLove you guys!Thank you for bring a whole new life to a show I absolutely love!! You two are knowledgeable and quick witted and make listening so much fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
-
portnorth99"It's the little things that bother me."Steve and Sean notice the little things going on in the background that help provide a sense of place and believability to the plot. Also an appreciation for scenes about computers and technology as they developed in the 70s. And they are very good at showing the comedic side of Peter Falk as they critique his very affected way of communicating with his body.
-
Sundial PhotographyLaLa LandIt’s hard to take this show seriously when neither of them is from LA. If it weren’t for their constant sarcasm and ignorance of the subject matter I would have stopped listening years ago. You should hear them talk about Steven Moffat——total A holes. As for their take on Columbo the ‘circle jerk’ atmosphere makes me come back for more. The only thing that could make the podcast better would be more politics directed at ignorant white people.
-
EricIsListeningAmazingI really thought I was alone in my love of this decades old show, but I come to find out there are a few differnt podcasts that dive deep into the Columbo episodes - this one is the best. Sean and Steve express a real love and interest in the show, with enough asides and off topic conversations to keep even the lesser '90's episodes interesting. Love it.
-
Rosegroom49Bye, ByeHave enjoyed the podcast up until now, but bringing politics and calling certain people “white trash” is where I get off.
-
Elroy0415A Podcast full of Columbo goodness!!!A fun and enjoyable podcast for one of my favorite shows. Sean and Steve are obvious fans and they’re irreverent humor (and funny rating system) make this a great Podcast for any Columbo fan. Jim McCarthy
-
englitguywandering and boringThese guys need to be a bit less pleased with themselves and do a bit more research, even on basic things. There is an odd tone of constant derision for pretty much everything on a given episode, folowed by an assertion at the end of the podcats as to how much they love the show. Could be a generational thing, but it's tiring all the same. Like most of the podcasts of this nature, this is yet another from folks who neither know LA, the 1970's, or apparently, police procedurals from that era. Oddly, the Scottish Columbo podcast is better researched and shows more appreciation for the television series. If you like constant sarcasm and wandering asides, you may like this.
-
voo duganOnly 13 reviews? We can’t have that! Love Columbo & these guys. This podcast is a nice mix of banter and discussion of everyone’s favorite sloppy detective.
-
@ErasuresmyleTwo stars...too funny!Steve and Sean are a comedic pair on the topic of Columbo. I have heard all of their podcasts up to and including “The Greenhouse Jungle” and this far has been entertaining. I find myself wanting to interject on some point like a call in that Columbo did on Joe Devlin’s radio interview without the embarrassment that Fielding Chase does. Listening to these guys allow the listener to think of other Columbo episodes. With the last podcast, all I can think of is 2 stars and a bottle of champagne from Hugh Criton’s beverage fridge. Keep up the great work guys! I will be listening and commenting on Twitter...because, there is always just one more thing! 🕵️
-
JD the barberKeep it upI’ve been listening now to every episode before bed. I thought in modern day time I was the only one still into vintage theatre. Jay-D
-
starfloaterSean and Steve are wonderful!Steve and Sean are great to listen too. I love listening to these two talk about the episodes, their insight and opinion about each case are great. I think I tend to lean towards Steve a lot of times with his opinions. Usually, I'm in my car listening to the podcast and saying,"Yes, Steve is totally right!" lol. I love Sean's impressions and he always makes me laugh. I love these guys and I really hope they continue with their Columbo podcast and do other podcasts in the future! Love you, Sean and Steve =)
