It’s a great show and I will be buying the RSP every year after my first order last year. Matt’s prospect guide is second to none! I can’t get enough of his podcasts talking about prospects for rookie drafts as well!

My absolute favorite football pod. Fantasy football is really fun viewed through a real football perspective and the guests are always on point.

Download the episode before playing and you will have no issues. Best there is.

Much better listen for football purists than for fantasy analysis

It’s just a shame I can only listen to half the content. RSP episodes will play for 15 seconds, and then buffer forever. I never get to hear them. I don’t understand what is happening or why that problem persists.

Every episode has buffering issues. If you catch a full episode it’ll take your football knowledge to the next level. Matt needs to fix the buffering issue.

Whatever server this cast is hosted on is not adequate. This cast is much more finnicky in loading and buffering than any others I listen to. Hope they upgrade sometime. Waksman is the best, though

As a fellow fantasy OG marking his 30th year in fantasy football, I love the wealth of information Bob & Matt share. To all the Zoomers complaining about the audio quality, lighten up. In my day, we pasted a transistor radio to our dome and were damned glad to have it!

Matt Waldman is brilliant. Been an ardent admirer of his work since his very beginnings. For better or for worse, his intellect and intuition is too complex, for most earthlings. Let alone the institution that is all things American football. Thank you for your greatness, Matt.

Really enjoy this weekly podcast with intelligent (mostly) fact- based discussion. Three minor gripes: Matt offers great insight and has an amazing voice for radio but didn’t appear to understand how a microphone works! The volume on his mic fluctuates regularly, he coughs into the mic regularly, and you can hear him typing on his keyboard regularly during the show. It gives a real/ Zoom call feel but can be a distraction if you are listening on headphone’s especially. That aside, the balance of film watching, player comparisons, while also considering talent and situation is a refreshing change from a lot of the fantasy content out there. Recommended.

Have never had as many buffering issues with other podcasts as this one. Man it’s painful to listen to. Every 15-20 seconds it buffers for another 15-20. Not a reception or phone issue either as other podcasts play just fine.

The Nigerian Nightmare!

Great content! Absolutely outstanding! But half the dang time you can’t get the pod to play right! So, what happens is you start off the pod and everything seems cool. Then you pause it, it works for about 15 more seconds, and then all of the sudden the audio stops and you get a buffering sign. And if you just let it buffer it simply won’t start up again. At all. One thing you can do is skip ahead a little and sometimes that will get the pod to resume playing normally. Sometimes. Most of the time though it again plays for 15 seconds and then stops and gives the buffering sign again. It is utterly infuriating to have such a great pod be non-functional! So of course the inevitable question: is it something on my end? 100% no. This is the only podcast I’ve ever encountered that does this. And it does this not only when you are using the Apple podcast app but even when you go to the RSP webpage and try to listen from there. From a technical standpoint, it is a complete and utter disaster! Please, please, please get this fixed so I can update this review to the 5 stars it deserves!

If you enjoy football in any manner, not just fantasy football or draft prospects, this is a fantastic podcast. You will learn something every show about WHY teams and players are over or under performing.

Interesting and different perspectives on players, scheme, and the game in general

I absolutely love this pod and the in depth analysis of what goes on between lines. My only issue is the Audio is atrocious at times and everytime i try to listen it keeps stopping. Only podcast the does this.

In a NFL Draft media world of group think, Matt's content is required for bona fide scouting/draft fans. Last episode he had a line that captures Matt's wisdom and modus operandi: "One size fits all does not work in scouting and it's not true. It's not true in life, it's not true in politics, and it's not true in football." Who knew Matt was the voice we needed in our times?

Matt has been doing this since 2006. His talent evaluation is thorough, detailed and nuanced. This is scouting at the highest level.

I’ve been listening to Matt for years. His in-depth analysis is some of, if not the best around. Great football mind.

This podcast and his youtube channel are goldmines for anyone craving a deeper knowledge about football and player scouting. Matt and the other hosts don’t always have all the answers, but the analysis about their process for evaluating players is deeper than most anything you can find on the internet. The cast also includes tons of entertaining conversations about life in general which make it an every week listen. Matt even responded to a question I emailed him! The RSP is also fantastic for the price. The quick game episodes are the best and more episodes like that a would be great!

Best analysis out there

Folks this is the good stuff, RSP has great guests and their football analyst is amazing. I’m such a week by week evaluator that I love or hate my fantasy teams by the week. They help me stay logical and most important, patient. Especially this year all the prep they do helped me who to add when all the injuries piled up.

The most insightful (fantasy) football podcast.

Listen to Matt. He’s awesome as is his guests. Dives into real opinions and takes based on film and not box scores.

You don’t need to listen to anybody else. Matt Waldman does not regurgitate what players/coaches/“experts” say. He is an independent thinker and delivers a unique perspective that will consistently give you one or two players that will help you win championships. He first gave me the gift of David Johnson a few years back. This past year it was Lamar Jackson. I regret not listening to him two years ago about Chubb—was too nervous other owners in league would mock picking him as early as I should of and I lost out. Most importantly, Matt Waldman is a good human being who uses his platform to educate subscribers on social issues. Keep doing what you’re doing exactly the way you are doing it!

Matt is the best in the business. The way he presents his thoughts on players and explains his process makes him a must listen/follow/read and watch for ALL fantasy players and anybody else that truly loves football in general

Too monotone for my liking, despite great content. The other issue is of dozen podcasts I subscribe to, this one is always having a trouble playing. I’m not sure if that’s Apple (the podcast app I use) or their server(s) uploading the content. Either way, it’s frustrating to wait for a podcast to constantly “buffer.”

Matt Waldman is the dude. No need to go anywhere else for rookie scouting analysis. Really in depth knowledge, always entertaining, makes me laugh, and provides fantastic life advice at times too.

I have learned more than I ever knew was possible about football. Only problem is that my passion for the game is fueled even more and I can’t get enough analysis. Keep plugging the Rookie Scouting Portfolio Matt. It’s how I found out about you in the first place. Thanks!

I rarely write reviews, but your podcast is exceptional and has deepened my understanding and appreciation of the NFL. Of note, you and Dwain paired together is particularly fun. Thank you for your work and good luck!

The last thing I want to do is let the guys I play against know how sharp Matt’s insight is. You know that Tony Romo “here’s what’s coming and why” experience? Matt is that good, and so is Dwain. They will challenge every successful player to think more structurally about the NFL.

Matt provides excellent insight and definitely puts in the time watching film. I trust his eyes. His guests are also highly educated but also bring data into the mix. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves football and likes to think!

Matt puts in the work, has a quality football eye, and most importantly amazing project management skills. Yes that really comes across and helps. It allows him to make sense of things others don't. It's like he watches football games with the red/blue 3-D glasses on and can see the bigger picture.
