ShellyAlrightGreat unique insights!I’m a new mom (to a boy) who is re-listening to all the Harry Potter books during all the many many middle of night feedings, and this podcast is the perfect companion. These ladies have such unique insights that it feels like it’s a whole new book! I absolutely sobbed at the break down of book 4 ch 34. Great listen!

ameliabethbBlechLove this podcast I’ve binged almost the entire thing (I was listening to the restricted section but they’re also a done and I wasn’t ready to let it go) my one critique (hence the title) is that almost every avoided Charlie (I think..: still not sure) makes vomitting noise multiple times every episode and it’s so realistic it’s nauseating. Okay this sounds like a bad revue lol but I needed to make this known! But that aside it’s so much fun 10/10 recommend. I like to listen to queer or produced hosted podcasts about HP for comfort and nostalgia without supporting you know who.

madi2418Absolutely LovelyI came over from F&F, and I’m pretty sure the first episode of the first Christmas special is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. I hope I make friends like you three (shoutout to Neil) ✨

I like good_gamesGoblet of wineI came from Fanatical Fics and Where To Find Them: a Harry Potter podcast and that was the only podcast I’ve ever listened to but then I convinced my friend to listen to Fanatical Fics and I had to wait for her to get to episode 60 and since that’s what I used to sleep in the uncomfortable bed and that’s what I listened to when my family isn’t visiting me in the hospital and so episode 60 was the one that they did with y’all so I was like I need to go to Goblet of wine so I can regulate my emotions because I have stage two cancer and everytime I talk to someone and they leave I’m just like that could be the last time I ever see them. So it really means a lot and makes a difference in my life it truly does. Bless y’all. ❤️

spotty-goat KAmazingI love your podcast so much, it’s full of humor and interesting insight. If either Hannah or Charlie end up seeing this, I recommend that you listen to the song “The Apparate! Suite” by Lemon Demon. :)

Katrina FaustDon't drink and drive kidsCame from Fanatical Fics and stayed for Charlie and Hannah. Still haven't caught up but I wanted to leave a review before the last season ended. I feel like Charlie and Hannah are the two sides of my personality. I think Hannah is very similar to me in how she acts and shares similar views as me and then Charlie says all of my intrusive thoughts out loud. The saddest part is that I listen while I'm driving so unfortunately I cannot drink with you or watch the video (although I did tune into the video so I could see what you both looked like and my eyes were blessed). You once asked if people enjoyed hearing you retch while drinking disgusting beveraginos, and the answer is absolutely not. You are both disgusting and you should stop the podcast after this season (that was sarcasm if you couldn't tell). It's also been a very immersive experience for me as I decided to start watching Buffy and have been loving it. Yes, I did cry during 'The Body,' Charlie. I also get very excited every time you mention Doctor Who because I share your exact views on it regarding RTD and Moffat. Did the recent specials with David Tennant and Catherine Tate make you cry? I also think it should be your next podcast: "Goblet of Who: A Drunken British Doctor Who Podcast" and I can come on as a guest and talk about how hot Billie Piper is for an hour. Anyway, to make this an actual review of the podcast, it's great and everyone should listen. Just listen at home so you can drink with them.

Maddie0291Sad I’ve caught up!I’ve been binging your pod ever since you guested on Swish and Flick and I’m so sad I’ve finally caught up. What will I listen to while I wait for new episodes?? Thanks for being my British JKR hating Harry Potter friends I’ve always needed.

Ella_Loves_CheesecakeBlew me away 😭😍Hi! I absolutely love your podcast! I recently finished binging every episode and now I’m basically in agonizing suspense for two weeks in between episodes 🥲 I know you always say that you are not relaxing but for some reason your voices (that I can never tell apart) always help me fall asleep. I got here from the gayly prophet and I absolutely love your guys approach to Harry Potter. As someone who has always been scared of what the future holds both of your views on life and the knowledge that these two 20-something drunks can make it through life has really helped me be more confident and comfortable with exploring my own options to making a life for myself. Thank you so much for putting more joy and Gilmore Girl references into the world 💜edit: I think that you guys would love Percy Jackson! It probably has been recommended to you before but i really do think you guys would like it. p.s. I like you two better than Neil p.p.s. I freaking love your Christmas episodes, especially thé fan fiction ones 😍

EsmayPCan I listen to this whole podcast in a month and a half?I started listening to this podcast like 2-3 weeks ago and my goal is to finish the entire podcast up until your current uploads in the next like month currently im on episode 38. Also this podcast is absolutely amazing and like I’m not saying I should be on the podcast because I have some absolute amazing thoughts about Harry Potter but I am saying I should be on the podcast… like I have some great takes…

JayKuppa_TroopaLove the podcast! Idea for Supplemental w/ the MoviesLove the podcast! I found you about a year ago and finally finished binging all the episodes to catch up around December. I had this idea pop into my head that I thought might interest you even though I’m not on the Patreon or Discord yet. So, it was just announced that Daniel Radcliffe is now a father and so I ended up on his Wiki page. I noticed his awards and nominations. Have you guys ever thought of looking at, discussing, or critiquing the nominations and awards for the actors/score/etc in the HP movies? There is a couple on just Daniel Radcliffe’s wiki alone that I find questionable “best liplock”, “best on screen kiss”? I was curious what else you guys would dig up award wise and what your thoughts were on them.
-
Kitty2😻😻AmazingAbsolutely wonderful, funny, and logical. I’m only on book/season four, but I think that I’ll be able to catch up because I listen to it so much :D. It’s my favorite podcast, and I learned more about British politics from it :).

ᎥᎷ Ꭺ ᏌᎦᎬᏒ ᎾᎰ ᏆᎻᎥᎦ ᎪᏢᏢJust Absolutely LovelyNot only does this give me all the Harry Potter I need to survive, but it also just makes me feel cozy. I often listen to an episode before bed cuz HP makes me feel good and it's nice to feel smily at night (all thanks to you two). I say this as if I don't listen to episodes during any free time I get. Charlie and Hannah join me when I'm doing dishes or work and anything in between. Separate from HP this calms my stress of having to grow up, basically "if these two disasters can survive early adulthood, so can i". Thank you so so much for being a comfort and bringing laughter to my chaotic life.

mayrey3boring podcastdon’t waste your time
-
figcarterSo much fun!It took me maybe the first 40 episodes but by episode 42 I could tell them apart! I’m still waiting for THAT sticker with their logo! I love hearing their British feminist perspective and interesting takes on the series that I enjoy! It’s so much fun that I got my sister to listen because I needed someone to talk about the episodes with!
-
rklang94The only podcast that I haven’t got bored of!After months of binging, I am almost caught up and proud to say I can tell you both apart (I think lol) Your podcast has brought me a whole new view of the books and I am eager to start rereading! This is a great listen for any fellow open minded, neurodivergent, queer Harry Potter lovers 🤍
-
SkArIsHA Breath of Fresh AirI just love this. It’s a fun way to approach the series and I love following along as the hosts get gradually inebriated throughout the episode. 😆 Great insights and fun discussions.
-
zach91roblesThank youI love y’all’s pod cast so much I love drinking with y’all I have a question…do you think it would have helped you to see a soul as a physical object the first time reading through the books? And would it have made things easier to understand…like when I listed to this I always thought of it as a real thing you could hold in your hands…
-
TessaGreyHerondaleHilariousStarted listening after my sister described the possibility of frozen baby Harry being punted across the yard. Now I listen to this when driving, and sometimes think I must look ridiculous when I'm sitting alone in my car laughing hysterically. I have occasionally listened to this at work (with headphones) then feel self conscious when I burst out laughing
-
Arthur T🍷🥂PLEASE READ THISI absolutely love the podcast. BUT they promised free discord for trans people and the have ignored me for almost a month. PLEASE RESPOND HANNAH AND CHARLIE!
-
Natalie123🫠🏳️🌈❤️❤️❤️❤️This is an amazing podcast that I absolutely love. I am 13, and even tho Charlie and Hannah say 16+, I think that it’s fine for mature 12 yr olds. Maybe it’s bcc i’m american and we’re fine with this stuff but idk maybe i’m just super effed now. anyways, even if you’re not going to listen, which you definitely should, LISTEN TO THE PHILOSOPHERS STONE EPISODE NORFOLKIN WAY.
-
KatieJ225I love these tipsy British btches! 💕They are the living cutest! I’ve been listening for over a year and it’s the highlight of my post Covid existence (and I got engaged last year lol srry babe.) Hannah and Charlie are so witty and insightful, they remind me of why I fell in love with the HP community as a child. They are compassionate, silly, smart, and relatable. I came for the deep dives into British geography and train schedules and stayed for the discord pandemonium. I can’t recommend this podcast, its chaotic hosts, or it’s wonderful community enough.

ahhhhnaroseFrom Colorado with LoveI began listening to Hannah & Charlie after finding them on TikTok and it’s the best thing to happen in a long time. I recently went through a terrible breakup and filling the space up with their cheery British voices has made the last month or so truly bearable. It’s also quite funny because my puppy is named Charlie (also a girl - girl Charlie’s are the best!!!) so sometimes, I swear she hears them say “Charlie” and looks over at me. Harry Potter has been my favorite thing since I was 11 and my parents gave me the first book. I fall asleep every night to PoA on audiobooks - always starting at the Knight Bus chapter (not sure why, but those are my comfort chapters). I’ve binged my way from episode 1 to now and can honestly say their perspectives on the books have changed my own. I’ve begun to think more critically about the themes presented in Harry Potter, something I used to struggle with because I didn’t want to lose my childhood in a way. But what I love about Charlie & Hannah is that they’re able to hold both the love and adoration for these books along with an ability to discuss the general terf-ness of JKR. I also have to shout out Neil (sorry, loves) - his time travel episode is still my favorite of all time, maybe except for the one where Charlie talked about not wanting to survive the zombie apocalypse (because same - just take me out please!!!!). Thank you both for the time you’ve poured into this podcast and for making me literally laugh out loud more times than I can count.
-
M F LuderA true joy :)When the first review I saw rated this pod 1 star and said not to listen unless you like man-hating feminists, I knew this was going to be my new fave. Charlie and Hannah, who I can now tell apart 99.9% of the time, are the ladies I love to spend time with nerding out. If you, like me, get frustrated with some other analyses completely missing huge plot points or not being at the same level of fan-obsessed, then this is the pod for you. Found them on tiktok going on about Norfolk and train track geography, and now they’re my hp guideposts. Love you ladies! And huge congrats on Leakycon!!
-
Melinda Ch.This is bloody fantastic!I don’t live near my closest friends anymore and I have been getting depressed. Finding this podcast feels like conversations I would have with my friends and I don’t feel so lonely! My depression has gone away listening to this podcast. These ladies are so funny and have made me see the Harry Potter books in a different and more exciting way! Reading along with them is definitely the way to go, but also fun to listen to without re-reading the books. I am from America and love hearing the differences between the original books and the American releases, as well as the differences between the countries themselves. Thank you so much ladies for just being yourselves during this podcast! Keep it up and hope you do more past the Harry Potter series! Game for a Game of Thrones podcast! Thank you so much! Love from America!
-
Washington SentinelIf you’re interested in a HP podcastBy two man hating feminists, then this is the podcast for you. But if you want intelligent discussion, the definitely skip this.
-
SunnypwLove it but dear god stop shoutingLove the funny banter and deep cuts on HP but for the love of all the cauldron cakes in the world please, Charlie, stop shouting or find a pillow to muffle while recording. It hurts when I wear headphones. Love it but love shouldn’t make me deaf
-
Janet snkholeThank you ladies!I came across this podcast when I was really depressed these lovely ladies have kept me company and to not feel so sad. They were there through the loss of our very special kitty Kobe. They have helped me to smile and laugh and not feel so alone. Who needs therapy when you have this podcast 🤣.

4igirl13My new favorite podcastI just stumbled upon this podcast last night and boy is it great! I am so glad I found this gem. It has equal parts nostalgia and cynicism. Every episode just points out facts that now as an adult I’m like how did I never see that? I really wish I could meet Hannah and Charlie’s because they are so funny and make really good points! Cheers!
-
hedgehog_bakerNew FavoriteOh my golly, I’m sad I can’t just be real life friends with Hannah and Charlie. Just discovered this podcast and I’m absolutely adoring it. I’m so excited to listen along and see what sorts of things change in their lives and perspectives over their years of doing this and I just really love listening to them. Highly recommend to all true Harry Potter fans!
-
Willie WeldeGreat Analysis, Very FunnyI just finished the 50th episode of this podcast and I only started a month ago. Everyone should listen to this podcast! Hannah and Charlie are hysterical and bring a wonderful perspective to the Harry Potter books. I have learned a lot about British politics, culture, and geography through the lens of the Harry Potter books. My only point of criticism is that Hannah & Charlie regularly mention they are surprised that people listen to the podcast and wonder what is wrong with us for listening. Be confident in this amazing podcast and don’t insult me for loving it!! Cheers!
-
SU5196Keeping My SanityI have been listening to this the past month or so and I’m almost entirely caught up. This podcast has helped me keep my sanity at work. Charlie and Hannah make me laugh even when I’m having the worst day.
-
CdeitelhoffThis Podcast Keeps Me SaneI found this podcast over the summer and immediately fell in love with Hannah and Charlie’s banter and analysis and humor. In December of last year, I found out that my restaurant of 5 1/2 years was closing and I was being transferred to a new location. I’m now at work daily for 4-5 hours, all by myself, doing all of the prep. I’m an introvert but it’s really lonely to be all by myself in a restaurant and this podcast makes it feel like I have friends with me and I’m not alone. I also listen in the car (through an AirPod) when I’m driving with my kids and they’re singing dinosaur songs for the millionth time. Thank you for making my new restaurant a happier experience for me. I recommend this podcast to everyone!

Ky1509Like having friendsThese two are such a JOY to listen to! They make the world of Harry Potter even more of a home for me. I might be too sappy, but for real, these two make me feel like I’m part of a little family :,) they’re very knowledgeable when it comes to Harry Potter, and I’m often left in a state in which they’ve caused the nerve endings in my brain to fuse together differently (in a very good way!!) they’re absolutely hilarious. The tangents are the BEST! I’ve loled many times! I always look forward to another episode! Would definitely recommend! (GO SLYTHERIN) woo!
-
This thing rocksI’m obsessedThese girls are the perfect mix of seriousness when covering deep issues and hilarity the rest of the time. This is the first podcast I’ve ever religiously listened to and I’m so happy I found it! It’s basically all I want to talk about with my friends anymore and it’s almost unsettling 😂
-
MionemobpSo glad I found it.I have been super depressed lately to the point I just want to give up on a lot of stuff. I found your podcast and I have been so happy about your rants and input because they make me laugh, which hasn’t been easy. So thank you for making me finally feel like I have a good reason to actually want to be awake and part of the world.

RB_AustinPerfect Compliment to My Re-ReadAfter trying out at least five other Harry Potter podcasts I finally found A Goblet of Wine. So happy I did. 💜 It’s the perfect compliment to my re-read of the series.
-
Frustrated Facebooker 500hilarious & heartwarminglike so many other people, i grew up reading & loving Harry Potter. charlie and hannah give a highly entertaining and relatable take on the books without ignoring or glossing over issues with writing, plot, and representation. it’s wonderful to be able to hear fellow fans discuss the books without ignoring the problems that are present in them. Goblet of Wine feels like hanging out with your cool, millennial British friends bonus: the yelling about Norfolk made me cry with laughter!
-
keturahnaomiLong Time Listener, First Time Reviewer!I talk to myself. But thanks to this podcast I argue with myself at work. Major points of contention; 1- Without turning into a hacker, I have no idea how to listen to Stephen Frye’s auto books therefore I don’t understand the hype, 2- Why was Hogwarts not written as an international building school accepting wizards from around the world? I hate the separation and stereotypes of the schools in GOF, and 3- Notice the Oxford comma? That’s was taught to me but I literally never heard of it as such.
-
pgrabin1Love the British view of the books- so fun and funny!❤️📚 Loving this podcast- so funny! And both of the ladies are British so you hear their take on the books, JKR, and all the issues in and related to franchise.
-
ThatgurljessssWas a godsend during quarantine! At 19 years old, I finished the Harry Potter series for the first time and this podcast popped into my recommendations on Spotify! I started with the Prisoner of Azkaban episodes and I was hooked. If you want to pretend you have friends to obsess over Harry Potter with Charlie and Hannah are there for you! I have laughed out loud while on public transit from this podcast so that should just seal the deal. Currently reading along with you guys on Order of the Phoenix :)Thanks for the laughs! Hello from America!
-
alonelyravenclawIt’s like having friendsRecently found this and have been listening nonstop. An American portion sized thank you to Charlie and Hannah for the creation of this podcast.
-
Winterfell oneFabulous.Love it. The fact that you can pack so much into one episode is incredible. Being able to fit two chapters into one episode and having meaningful but funny conversations about them is brilliant. Thank you for the time and effort that you put into each and every episode. I will be raising a glass for you every time I’m listening.
-
tadpolesandtealeavesA glorious mess-terpieceThese two drunkenly do their best to add relevant real world problems, and all the things right and wrong with this nostalgic series in a fun way. In my opinion they’ve succeeded, not without mistakes but hey, who hasn’t misspoken whilst intoxicated.
-
Mugshot ELost in the SupermarketMy BFF Betsy and I are working on a commercial very late at night in a supermarket. She just played me a recording of y’all reading her feedback. She was nearly jumping with glee in aisle 14 that you shared her feedback. She is a total Pot(ter)head. She confided in me that she wishes she could be a guest on your show. She could certainly give you a run for your money between the goblets and the Potter! Sincerely, A BFF from the States

clara139295725193057272910184Awesome!I love you guys! Your points and thoughts about the books and plot holes and unfair things are SPOT ON!!! Keep going!! I love you guys so much!

rae the nerdGreat chemistry and fun tangentsHave recently gotten into the podcast again. I needed something to listen during work so I decided to start up again. I am just finishing prisoner of Azkaban and will be working through four and five in the next few weeks. I adore the accents and tangents the hosts get into. They also have great insights into the book itself.
-
trelawney jrIt’s not going to wooooooooaaaaaaooork.Totally obsessed. How have I lived my life so long without this podcast? Also, Mr. Diggory... I LOVE HIM! So much. Tears every time. Like sobbing ridiculous tears even though I have seen that scene a million times! I know I have so many more thoughts but I can’t remember. Must begin to take notes! Love you from the U.S.! Betsy

CS NielsenThis podcast is the reason I passed my exam this morningThis morning, I had to go take a test that’s required for anyone who wants to apply to teaching credential programs in my state. I’ve been studying for it for months and months and last night I was feeling pretty confident . . . And then I woke up this morning full of anxiety! I’m talking uncontrollable sweating, chest pains, nausea, the works. So fun. I don’t generally get really anxious so this totally freaked me out. I really had no idea what to do, but I decided to listen to the newest episode on my hour-long drive over. And the wonderful Hannah and Charlie, through their humor and sarcasm and honestly very calming British accents, were able to get me to calm down and even make me laugh during the drive, and so I was able to go and take the test in in a positive, anxiety-free mindset when I finally arrived! So a big virtual hug to Hannah and Charlie, you guys are great and I love the podcast!! :)
