My Thoughts on The Frustration Dissolves Podcasts
I am a big fan of this podcast and I listen to it a lot. That said and with the greatest respect, the most recent podcast, Frustration Dissolves, with two guests, was not what I was expecting. In my opinion this specific podcast sounds like a commercial for the actual subscription training program. Really felt like marketing to me. That was disappointing because I was looking forward to more excellent content. I hope the future podcasts will go back to more content and less advertising. Thank you!

    So much good advice
Iā€™m so glad I found this podcast. Iā€™m new to the horse world and Iā€™m trying hard not to cause my horse undue stress because Iā€™m so green. Using the advice learned here Iā€™ve made great strides with my new best friend.

    Just what I needed!
Iā€™m only on season 7ā€”but this podcast has been just what I needed. Episode 86-The Challenge of Change, could have been written specifically for me. Iā€™m dealing with an aging body, a 24 year old mare, who has been a challenge for the 10 years Iā€™ve owned her, and a recent fall that made me question whether I should ever ride again. Iā€™ve gone through all the thought processes mentioned in this discussionā€”realizing the need for change, seeking the help of a professional, working through some basic training exercises and taking it slow. The journey isnā€™t over, but Staceyā€™s podcast is certainly helping me to realize I am not alone in this phase, and there is still so much to learn. Thank-you, Stacy!

This podcast helped renew my interest in riding more and learning more. The show and the information have definitely shifted and grown over the years but I find the concepts and the understanding of the horses perspective amazing.

    So thankful
I started at the beginning of your podcast journey a little over a week ago and Iā€™m already on session #31. Iā€™m also watching your training sessions from Jac. I canā€™t thank you enough for your expertise. I really connect with your teaching method and love the way you can compare horse situations to child like behaviors. I have a new found passion for wanting to start working with my horse on the basics and seeing how much we can grow. Thank you so much for sharing your passion and teaching us your methods! ā™„ļø

The title says it all (actually the title doesnā€™t say it all - she gives so much more!)
I absolutely LOVE Stacy Westfall. She has so much insight that she willingly shares. Stacy is smart, funny, creative, and full of understanding for both horses and people. Sheā€™s not afraid of being vulnerable. Sheā€™s honest and looks at issues and topics from every possible angle. This podcast gives you so much information and so many tools to put into practice- right now. This is THE best podcast about training horses there is.

Ethical, wise, honest, and easy to understand
Ethical, wise, honest, and easy to understand. Iā€™ve worked with a few trainers over the years and Stacy is always a solid reference for any level rider/trainer/horse owner. Many tools in my toolbox are bits of wisdom Stacy has shared. It is so wonderful that this level of horse knowledge is available to anyone willing to listen. In person training and years of experience to learn what she offers costs crazy amounts of time and a lot of money. Many adults are loving horse owners who donā€™t have extra money and/or time. Itā€™s a real treasure that all folks- beginners or professionals, rich and not- to have access to her podcast. Love you Stacy!

    Excellent
I love, love, love to hear a professional endorsement for multi discipline training. I love the description by Stacy that it is similar to being multi lingual and that it helps balance the horses mind, and I would say heart.

I Love this podcast so much. I am starting from the very beginning and going through each episode and itā€™s really helping me to understand my horses . I am not the best or most experienced rider but I love to trail ride my two horses and I am learning so much just listening to Stacy. Thank you Stacy for all of your wisdom and for sharing it with us:) - Mary Lou in California

    Grateful!
As a horse trainer in the very early stages of my business Iā€™m incredibly grateful for these podcasts. I am learning so much more in depth info on how and why things work. I recommend my clients listen to these too. Thank you for sharing your hard earned wisdom and passing it on. BTW I love the big ball bouncing idea to get the horse used to something bouncing beside them. Super creative and fun!

Best investment of your time if you want to improve yourself and your horse
Every topic is filled with helpful information you can use right now no matter what your level, experience, discipline or background. Stacy managed to motivate, support and inspire you to be the best version of yourself while achieving the most with your horse. And bonus, everything can be applied to other aspects of your life as well. I love that she shares her personal stories, challenges and experiences so you know sheā€™s not ā€œdo as I say, not as I doā€ type teaching. Sheā€™s been there, done that, and can help you get there or avoid mistakes too. Never too long, or too complicated or too much of the same thing. Do yourself a favor and start listening, itā€™s the best investment you can give yourself and your horse.

    Name change
This is my first time listening to your podcasts. I will go back and listen to more. My first thought when you said you were changing the name yourself is that you are freaking amazing that you have sooo many talents. It comes down to confidence in yourself. If itā€™s not successful, we will still come find you where ever you are. Itā€™s worth the effort. The wisdom you share is very valuable! Since I havenā€™t listened to past podcasts, you may already have addressed this but I am very interested in the mental thought processes or maybe better put - mental connection versus physical.
  • Hafielove
    First time listener
I really enjoyed your podcast and look forward to listening to lots more. I think itā€™s fantastic that you are going to make the changes to the podcast yourself. That little bit of fear is worth the final outcome, good or bad-and yes we will find you if we get lost in the process!! My husband passed away two years ago and I can totally relate to the fear of change. The farm is now up to me to run and Iā€™ve had to make changes just to make things easier for one person to do. I often tackle things Iā€™ve never done before simply because I canā€™t pay for help and I canā€™t constantly ask for help. You donā€™t want to burn out your friends! Iā€™m getting pretty well versed on the inner workings of my automatic waterers and my outdoor wood stove, among many other things. The sense of accomplishment and confidence that comes from doing all this myself is totally worth the fear of getting started. This sets me to thinking about my horses and that I should be spending more time with them. There could be some fear of changing how I spend time with them, that I might not be accomplishing much. But nothing gets done if I never try. I know it takes time and you build on each day spent, but I think I focus too much on getting things done and just need to enjoy them. Now Iā€™m rambling, so Iā€™ll listen more and comment later!

    Absolutely value packed podcast!!!
There are lots of horse trainer podcasts available but none better than yours. I literally look forward to Wednesday mornings listening while getting ready for work. This last one made me laugh because your response to PPL was to pack the plates for all your horses for 2021, and it isnā€™t even Halloween 2020 yet. I donā€™t have the horse(s) or resources or skill set available to do as much with my horse as you can do, but I definitely still apply the thought approach and push further boundaries of riding growth and showing than I would without your subtle encouragement through sharing your journey. For me and my horse personally, this has meant going from a low point with ā€œcrippledā€ and anxious young cow horse to a much healthier happy horse with a better more competent rider after persistently seeking out coaches and care. Iā€™m in process of getting my 7 yr old AQHA registered and hope to enter some low impact ā€œsafe for him given osteoarthritisā€ shows next year. No ā€œdown the fenceā€ for him but we are both loving learning dressage and obstacle course stuff.

I only discovered Stacys podcast a couple of weeks ago and theyā€™ve been so helpful to me. Stacy is a compassionate, smart horsewomen with a keen interest in helping and also learning from others. Insightful
I heard Stacy on horses in the morning and the dressage radio podcasts. I love hearing her adventures and how sheā€™s willing to try anything. I enjoy how relatable she makes her podcast not only to horses but to other real life examples. I find her podcast super helpful as an amateur own to train rider and a corporate business woman. Thank you Stacy for your life guidance!

    Five stars
Stacy is s natural teacher who explains things in s logical, easy to understand way. Even though Iā€™ve been riding my whole life, and wondered how listening to a podcast about a physical activity would be useful, I was surprised at how compelling it is. Stacy gives us a fresh outlook on horse training and the biomechanics of riding.

    LOVE this podcast
Stacy explains things in a way that is so clear and understandable. She is an expert horsewoman with a wealth of knowledge yet she is incredibly relatable and human. She seems genuinely interested in helping her audience and encourages interaction through her website and Facebook pages. She actually responds to questions and addresses the problems and concerns of her listeners. Iā€™ve learned so much from Stacyā€™s videos and blogs and to now have a podcast is a wonderful resource! Anyone wanting to expand their knowledge and abilities with their horses will enjoy this podcast. My only complaint is that I wish the episodes were longer!
