Love listening to the podcast episodes. Many of which I have listened to multiple times as refreshers for areas I plan to fish on near future dates!

I look forward to listening to the Captains Collective Podcast but I must say how disappointed I was with the latest show. I certainly appreciate the work ethic but there was not much that I learned and the interaction between Hunter and Matt Cowart was difficult to listen too at times

I started listening to the podcast 3 episodes in, I was hooked! This podcast opened up a new perspective on the world of fishing guides, and allowed me to find my own path into becoming a captain. Hunter is an excellent host and an even better human! 11/10 recommend Captans Collective

Great show, great guests!

Hunter has a relaxed tone as he interviews guides and people I would consider “naturalists,” folks who see a huge chunk of their lives outdoors. Each episode is relaxing - I particularly enjoy the Florida/Bahamas stories. A lot of his podcasts deal with younger guides and it’s interesting to hear their challenges as these fisheries get more pressured. I listen while on my bike rides and eagerly await each new episode!

Hunter does a magnificent job interviewing guests. His humility makes this podcast an easy listen and I learn so much each episode. If you are a fly angler check this show out.

As a captain & fishing guide I love to hear in depth interviews with the people I read & see and also of some of the different places that this sport has taken me.

I enjoy the delivery and style of this fishing podcast. I enjoy the guests and have learned a lot about conservation and how to make a difference.

This podcast is great when Hunter isnt peddling Left wing talking points. The episode with Meredith was awesome! The episodes with Flip and the other Leftists were garbage! Hey Hunter, honestly, we get it! My son and I practice catch and release. We pick up trash in the water. 90% of other anglers are the same! Its not the weekend Anglers who are killing the fish population, bud! And its certainly not “climate change!!” Its the everyday guides who want cleaning table fish pics for their Gram who are the problem! Many of us outdoorsmen don’t buy the climate change crap! Stop peddling it. What are you, the outdoor voice for AOC and the Squad?! Your guests talk about climate change but buzz around on airplanes! This is when we stop listening to the hypocrisy. Seriously! Flip Pallot isn’t your audience—we everyday anglers are your audience. We’re tired of being preached to by a 25 y/o… It feels like you’re trying to get the approval of the Flip Pallots. It feels like you’re doing the left wing peddling to get attaboys from the guys in the industry that you think will bump you up in the fishing world.

Hunter you really delivered on this one. I started to listen to your interview with Meredith not really expecting much. What's not to like, a pretty face and fish from all over the world? I was really taken back to learn about the real Meredith McCord. What a journey she has had. I thought it was very funney how the tv producer wanted her to "be some one" first before casting her. With her achievements, she could probably ask him the same question before casting a show for her. Meredith is truly a giant in the fishing industry and much more than an ispiration for little girls. We should all stive to do a little better when we interact with people both near and far. Kudos on a fantastic podcast and Godspeed to Ms. Meredith McCord. Just recently started listening to podcasts. I’ve been coming to St. George island and Appalachicola for about 25 years. This is an excellent podcast. I love hearing things from the guides and professionals side of view. The conservation side of it is really informative. Gives you a lot of perspective on what goes into what these guys and ladies deal with day in and day out. Highly recommend to anyone who loves fishing and especially fly fishing.

I’m Not normally a podcast guy. These episodes are exceptionally entertaining and informative. Can’t wait for the next one.

In this episode Hunter does an artful job capturing Chris’s down to earth personality. Chris tells his story and reminds us of the duty a guide has to their clients. He also shared transparently about his health challenges. Thanks for the rib smoking tips!

This is by far my favorite podcast. Hunter does a great job interviewing the captains and asking the right questions. Listening to the different guests tell their stories on how they got started, histories of their local area and the issues facing their fishery is what makes this show great.

I absolutely look forward to this show each week! The quality of this podcast is validated by the wide ranging lineup of “legends” from the industry who choose to sit down and share their time and stories with Hunter and his listeners. Hunter’s humble demeanor, well research questions and authentic love for the sport create the perfect environment for his guest to tell their stories and tips. This is a “must listen too” for any serious angler. Bravo Hunter on a job well done. 💪💪

So thankful to have found these guys. Hunter and the boys do a stellar job. Format is as good as a top 10 show, but with better content lol. Seriously loving these. I love how Hunter covers the history of fishing, the ethics of fishing, and planning out the future for a better fishing community

First and foremost, Rick is my good friend. He fished my Dad for many years up until the year he passed. That year they caught Tarpon on fly. When he passed he was instrumental in helping me spread his ashes where he loved to be. Rick and I have been fishing together ( second generation) for a hell of a long time. We always manage to work dome days in to his busy schedule. Rick is an amazing fisherman full of knowledge and stories, and when we fish together we share do many. Rick is a class act. Found this podcast and listened to it for 10 hours a day at work until I was caught up. Great information and insight from industry legends and respected captains from all over. If you’re someone who wants to share your passion for the water with others, this podcast is a great handbook. Awesome work!

Great podcast with a chill, intimate vibe to it where I enjoyed learning about the life of the guides and of the makers of the fly fishing community. Wouldn’t hurt to add a little more technical questions once in a while but the conversation is really interesting.

If your into fly fishing or even just fishing history you’ll love this pod cast. Very nice relaxed feel of every interview, you can really tell they get a genuine interview of these guides.

You may think this podcast is only intended for hardcore saltwater fishing fans, but it is so well produced and the host does such a good job of pulling out stories and perspectives, it will hold interest for anyone that likes characters, stories of building small businesses and the outdoors more generally.

Captain congrats on executing on such a great and innovative idea in the outdoor community. I find myself constantly looking forward to the next podcast, being that your father’s day podcast was extremely thought provoking and the one with Captain Stumpy was some of the most sincere and genuine advice I have ever heard.... keep up the good work!!!! Entertaining, insightful and often funny interviews. This podcast is packed with life wisdom and advice that extends far beyond the realm of fishing. As someone who could count how many times I’ve gone fishing, I recommend it to all - even if you have no plans to cast a line anytime soon! So far, my favorite new pod of 2019 by a wide margin.

This is one of the best podcasts for fishing I have listened to. It gets into the lives of the captains being interviewed, their perspective, and the lessons they have learned along the way. I look forward to many more.

Happy to hear a fishing/outdoors pod cast that brings real down to earth outdoorsmen on the air. Sometimes watching and listening to the same “big wigs” in the industry gets old. They legends obviously and are amazing, but it’s nice to get some fresh faces in the game. Keep it up guys, looking forward to more.

Always like to hear from a professional on their angles and their knowledge. Everyone can learn something no matter how long you have been fishing.
