    Loneliness
The loneliness talks are almost always devoid of blame on leadership who developed social media with this intended outcome. They have steered it like a ship, nailing all target audiences with precision. Most people recognize it’s a major problem but will contend it’s not one for themselves haha. Thanks Harry, you bring game to compassion at a high level! Scott could consider working with real young men personally, actions will speak louder than words for this crisis. I appreciate the concern, but making men work in offices isn’t the only way. All types of outside work needs to be done, for the environment. Common cause, land improvement, leads to stronger folk.

Very informative researched law/news. Always the TRUTH

    I value Talking Feds enormously.
Scott Galloway was incisive, enlightening and made me think hard about this subject, especially the alarming statistics he offered. As a mother of a 32-year old son and 29-year old daughter, I still can’t get past the “gag reflex” he aptly identified, for reasons so numerous I can’t fit them in this space. But logic and my own anecdotal evidence surely suggests a connection between lower teen pregnancy rates and lower alcohol consumption. I’m all for responsible social drinking, but reduced inhibitions can easily result in unwanted pregnancies. Not good for anyone, but especially women. Also, my fifty-year old nephew just died from a drug overdose; his long and tragic battle with that disease started with drinking alcohol as a young man. I’m a little sensitive to encouraging it, even if Mr. Galloway’s intentions are good. Also, statistical projections notwithstanding, I resist the implication that all or even most baby boomers are wealthy, especially when they’re of retirement age and still paying off their kids’ student loan debt.

    Love show
It isn’t a war in Gaza. It is genocide. The killing of civilians, 40% being children, and depriving them of food, shelter, and water, so the land can be taken. Please tell the truth. thank you, Elizabeth

    Excellent Guests
I love Harry’s delivery - very knowledgeable, but with a dash of humor. There is an outstanding rotating panel of guests who provide insight into the latest in politics, law & government.

    Educational
I come out a little smarter every time I listen to this podcast!

    Stand-up folks
I love Harry Litman. His independence is inspiring. But, in today’s episode there was a section on law firms. There was mention of stand-up firms that did not buckle and on those who did buckle. I think there should also have been a section on those individuals who stood up AND on those like Emhoff and Katyal who didn’t quit their firms. It is time to call them out.

I have been so dispirited . Only Harry, his guests, and others like them have maintained my will to live

    A small thing.
Please lose the background “music” during your narratives. It sounds like “Jingle Bells”!
  • KitClay
    Thank Goodness!
Thoughtful, informed and pragmatic. Pod breaks down issues and parses deeper implications, this working class auto-didactic doesn’t feel talked down to or passed. Thank you.

    Platforming Pinker and Haberman
I enjoy these discussions when they feature smart bureaucrats, but reconsider Litman’s judgement when he hosts people like Maggie “Access Journalism” Haberman, Steven “Pangloss” Pinker, and Max “I support Marco Rubio” Boot. I could also use a little less Norm Eisen, who sounds drunk on his own rhetoric.

    A “Go-To” Listen
This is one of the best podcasts in my rotation. Harry is a consummate host that strikes the perfect balance of managing the interactions of his guests while letting the conversation flow. His new one on one weekly episodes are a new treat! Always informative and entertaining, I never miss an episode.

    Simply the best
Thank you Harry Litman! Here’s where to get the most up-to-date, incisive and - for a bit of relief - even sometimes funny observations - about our alarming state of affairs.
  • vieille dame
    Scrappy and independent
I took my title from their motto, but their motto describes them exactly. This discussion was cogent and full of heart. It gave me hope there’s a way to fight for what you believe.

    Trump Breaks the World
WHAT a panel, Harry! Incredibly informative and in between all the horror, some green shoots of hope. Thank you!
  • no legalistic autocrats
    One of my regular listens
Always deeply informative. Would you interview Erwin Chemerinsky on the reactionary notion of the “unitary president”? He breaks it down beautifully. Also just a bit less inside baseball as we are not all lawyers.

    Grounded and Informative
I love that Talking Feds is grounded in fact and law and gathers diverse perspectives to explain what is going on. It is so important to find independent sources of information to help keep myself informed in these times.

    The ant-govt govt.
I’m a fairly regular listener but today for the first time listened to a Molly Matchup. Hey guys, I hate to say it but I disagree w/ you that the pollers’ public eventually will turn against Trump-Elon-MAGA. Stupid tho the visible behavior appears, just below the surface are some masterful strategists and manipulators - they will have full authoritarian control of what they want before the next election, and the only organized system of govt will be the oligarchs’ system of finance. And you won’t be able to vote it out

    Signposts of Democratic Decline
This was the best episode ever. I listened 3 times and learned so much. At this time it is so important to know what to expect.

Talking Feds - great pod & seems to be moving closer to reality
I love this informative pod but honestly frustrated by conservatives on here who still think we’re in some normal political situation in T’s second term. I have yet to hear the appropriate focus: all the Republicans who are 100% bought & paid for to take down our government & take their place in the new US Duma. I look forward to future content that point the way to resisting the unAmerican & unlawful administration.
  • Tobiko3
    Grounded and informative
In these times, Talking Feds is one of the most important podcasts for understanding the legal implications of current events.

    Still blaming women?
Today’s show was enlightening & appreciated. When I heard one of the group, a male, call Jill Biden the worst First Lady ever, I flinched. Remember that if we as contrarians continue to play that game then we are no better than the current autocrats who play that same game. First Ladies are not connected at the hip with their partners.
  • debllstl
    Great!
I love Harry and his guests. The information in this podcast is accurate and informative.
  • pilateskristen
Women are not responsible for men
Really? We’re still blaming women for the decisions and actions of their husbands? If that is true, then Melania Trump, Laura Bush, and Nancy Reagan were far worse First Ladies than Dr. Jill Biden. I enjoy and look forward to future work published by the Contrarian, but Talking Feds should find less misogynistic guests.

    Phenomenal Podcast
I just finished your episode with Marc Elias from 1/16/2025; so good to hear you celebrated for your independence from political, employer, and advertiser pressure, while delivering thoughtful, engaged content and interviews. Thank you for keeping the keel steady, solid, and informed though the rough seas of the past eight years. Here’s to may more!

    Appalled
Appalling that legal scholars continue to express feelings that the GOP-appointed SCOTUS is anything but deep in the Trump MAGA pocket.
  • Marsheagle
    Fabulous 1:1s
Harry, please increase the number of your 1:1s. The in depth conversation gets us away from structured talking points. You shine in these sessions. With Rho Khanna in particular. Edward Marshall, Ph.D, Chapel Hill NC
  • unlimitedlou
    Ro Khanna?!?!
The man reveals his true Illinois pol colors as a weaselly and unctuous ring-kisser, and you think that sounds like a great choice to discuss the morally bankrupt tech bro campaigns he's sidled up to? Sigh. Add Talking Feds to the long list of once trusted media sources that are looking questionable post-election.

    So many great legal minds
I love listening to the politically astute minds at work in these podcasts. The topics are easy to follow and well explained. Great guests from whom I learn so much. Thank you Harry Littman.

Especially like the interview with Krystol
  • mbapsu
Are you smarter than a 5th-grader?
Short answer: Nope. A 5th-grader could win a debate against your insane views on illegal immigration. 1. We were told for the last 4 years that states have no jurisdiction in immigration law, it is the responsibility of the Federal government. Now, you’re fine with sanctuary states shielding illegals from enforcement by the Federal government. There are well over 1 million illegals that have already received due process (that the lied to be granted) and have deportation orders. 2. Trump was thwarted by insane lawfare in building the first wall. Then Lil Joey sold off the American peoples wall building mayerials at pennies on the dollar. Well done! 3. You are all OK with people illegally entering the country, taking American jobs, taking American taxpayer dollars in the form of welfare benefits, giving birth to babies that are deemed American citizens and initiate a whole new round of American taxpayer perks just so you have someone to cut your lawn and clean your toilet for $5 an hour?

    Swamp Water Carrier
Why would someone enthusiastically want and support more and bigger nanny statist government like Litman does? It’s contrary to the founders vision of limited government. When the show mentions a “round table of experts” all that means is a leftist jerkle is occurring.

    Favorite Monday show
Timothy is one of my favorite guests. As Scott Galloway would say he is a “blue flame thinker”. Thanks Harry

    An essential listen
One of a few podcasts that I listen to on the day they drop and sometimes listen to more than once. Lots of interesting and educated perspectives. The latest episode with Michael Tomasky has inspired me to finally join the Talking Feds Patreon.

    Harry’s questions too long
On the one-on-one interviews, Harry gives speeches. Let your guest speak without dominating the conversation!
