I’ve been listening to the Restaurant Strategy Podcast for a while now, and there is so much value in what Chip shares. Even though I don’t exactly fit the profile of his typical audience—I run a bakery, not a restaurant, and we’re not quite at his revenue benchmark (though we’re more than halfway there!)—I still find his insights incredibly relatable and applicable. My husband and I spent years working in the NYC fine dining world, and Chip’s background and perspective really resonate with us. His practical advice, thoughtful interviews, and deep understanding of the industry keep me coming back every week. I always look forward to new episodes!

Chip’s podcast is a great listen to help spur progress in your restaurant. He has lots of relatable advice and is realistic with what restaurant life is like. The systems and tools he talks about create a culture of ownership where I don’t work in my business like I used to and now work ON it. I am a second generation restaurateur and have really appreciated all the information that Chip provides. Very tactical stuff that’s easy to digest and put in motion in your restaurant. I’ve subscribed to a lot of the software he recommends for our tech stack and am very happy with the results. Crazy how this podcast has opened my eyes and helped me with controlling my prime costs. I used to think a 4% net was acceptable but now I don’t settle for anything under 15% NET PROFIT! Thanks Chip!!

It is amazing how much you will learn from Chips episodes. Other podcasts are more focused on interviewing others and skimming over what it takes to actually operate a successful & profitable restaurant, but Chip really digs deep and serves us solutions.

Kiosk ordering will be the end of restaurants. You do not go out to eat and have to order on your phone like an Applebees. Servers keep the restaurant industry alive. He claims that 80% of restaurants could benefit from losing servers. Serves are the lifeblood of restaurants. We make sure the customers come back and we work hard to make the restaurant industry successful. I have never been so enraged listening to a podcast.

I love how every episode has some tactical information that any business owner can take action on immediately. Every episode is clear, concise and compelling. I’ve owned restaurants for almost 15 years, and I still learn something new every time I listen to an episode!

I was turned onto this podcast by an associate. I come to it as an expert in marketing who’s looking to improve my ability to effectively market a restaurant as a business unit of the brewery I work for. It’s a pretty niche angle and I hadn’t seen anything like this before and so glad I found it. I find Chip’s foundational marketing to be very aligned with my own - zig ziglar, Seth Godin, brand principles etc. and from that foundation he derives interesting insights and actionable strategy. Many podcasts talk about the issues, but Chip spends time on the solutions and that makes all the difference.
