Shoot1inureyeWowieReview number 499. Lot of pressure on the next reviewer, don’t flubb it up! This show is great, just like all the shows from Geekly inc.

Harvey ButtholeCame for TimJessica is now my wife. Sorry, Tim. Found you through the hit show Naruto Reviewto. If you didn’t want your wife to be stolen, shouldn’t have made a podcast, I don’t make the rules - parenthesis - serious - close parentheses

VjdjdddsewwxcdxxxkkuhFavorite podcastNobody can touch my hidden beans!
-
itsjustanicknamedudeIt’s goodThis show is good. Filth mother is respectful of the youth and Michael is so handsome. Nick is an expert on food incidents and Tim from Florida so he knows a thing or two about crocodile. It’s like Reddit, but what we’re all thinking.
-
Jor/JasWorld’s greatest advice podcastI absolutely love this podcast! Came over from Greetings Adventures and stayed for the hilarity. This is my wife and I’s favorite thing to listen to on the road!

mrplatycopterSomething that made me sad this weekI found this podcast when in a search to fill what I felt were not enough takes on the Waffle House Fighting Boyfriend. The crew delivers on providing exactly the “most wild” of the delightful outliers of internet advice absurdity, and often have funny takes built on content amazing to behold unto itself, (that is, all you have to do is talk about it and not act like a jerk about it and it's already funny). They seem to understand that based on their talents, their humor has far more value than actual advice giving and typically keep a tone that they know they are not experts (although, holy cow, they suggested this week the way to address aggressive behavior is with more shaming, bullying and aggressive behavior, makes a strong case to stay in the joke lane). It has been helpful as I cope with the reality of actively trying to improve what I can without getting burned out and losing hope. Humor has helped reinforce against so many pressures which society creates, it helps to have some space absent of those pressures. Which is why it’s a bummer that they fill the time with consumerism rather than maintaining the content in which they thrive. It became apparent when they instituted a “Talk about a thing that made you feel happy this week,” and it’s 100% product recommendations across the board. Any sense of fulfillment will not be achieved in maintaining this system of consumption, and when they go around and recommend, it takes me right back onto the weakening rope bridge over the abyss of hopelessness. My only recourse is that I hope the data collection agencies built to profit corporations and enable powerful institutions to dictate who is taken out of society as a “threat” provide them with the feedback that I stop listening as soon as they start the roundtable, and the hope that enough listeners, especially paying ones, agree. I would be a supporting donor otherwise.

scorpion stan 420Thank you filth mommyHearing the beep boop of this podcasts theme fills me with an inappropriate amount of joy and inner peace. Truly I have found happiness in the filth.

Crambo70If trolling Reddit was a podcast.Say no more. 10/10 would recommend.
-
TheHolyMooseThe dumbest podcast ever, and I mean that in the best way.The questions that the cast find from the internet are so dumb, but the chemistry amongst the host and their humor make it great. 5 stars, would recommend.

JulesG432Goofs and GeeksI loved this crew since Cast of Thrones (which I still hope makes a comeback) and love Dear Internet for its humor, comfort between friends, and lovable weirdness. The dynamic between all the hosts is my favorite, and its like listening to dear old friends of mine have a funny conversation. They’re wonderfully geeky, and keep the goofs going! Keep it up guys<3
-
MaddieAboutZombieFarmRadWhile I would love to hear these four talk about another tv series, I’m still pleased to hear them talk about ask a manager nonsense. :)
-
CologneCerroneFun, Silly, Slightly CursedThis show is lots of fun and very silly. Some of the questions are more cursed than others but that may just be what we’re here for.
-
WilkesBoothHelloooooo JenniferSuch an amazing podcast. Funny, informative, Michael is a hottie, plenty of joker material. What else could you possibly ask for?
-
Badwolf125Not very funny anymoreI used to really enjoy this show. Silly answers to wild questions all while playing out scenarios was a light hearted approach to make my drive more enjoyable. However. The last 20 + episodes have turned into one of the host hijacking every question to lay out societal issues/constructs/mistreatments/ conditioning. The comedy the other hosts try to make is lost because of this and all I can do is spiral down a thought process of depression. While I agree with almost all the points this specific host makes when talking about these questions, It’s the last thing I want while listening to a comedy podcast. I type this not to whine but because I believe maybe they don’t realize what they’re doing. I don’t want to just “stop listening” I enjoy geekly and all the good work they do. And enjoy the podcast when it does hit the comedic points.
-
Older Boulder ScolderLuv itVery funny show with good buddies joking about wild situations posted to the internet.

Midwest gamerJust some friends having funCame here for the GOT recaps. Stayed for the funny advice.

GeekingSoHardDa bestestOnly 2 episodes in and I was in tears from laughing. All I could picture was Michael punching a goose. It’s still all I can think about. Such class. But really, this podcast, just like other Geekly Inc. content, is perfect. Love the people, love the topics, and I can’t wait to hear more. Much love ❤️

StevenR10Awesome idea! Fun hosts! The idea for this is incredible and some of these episodes had me dying laughing! Thanks for the great show and hours of entertainment!

BappersonDear Internet,I need a podcast with 4 great hosts, who enjoy each others' presence, and address the real concerns of our online society. Concerns like what defines a chili, how (not) to store many kinds of rice, and how to handle sushi casserole. To make it a 5-star podcast, it really should have a Queen of Filth who takes in the filth of the internet (aka Reddit) and brings these concerns to the others. This seems like an impossible request, but can you help me? Sincerely, Mired in Filth

EllayBSo happy when a new ep pops up in my feedI always thought I had written a review, but to my shame, I had not. So here it is! Consistently entertaining with quick wit and belly-laugh humor, excellent production/ sound quality, and a theme song so catchy it sneaks up on me and I end up dancing.

FrostyDelight14I PeedF-ing hilarious. Love hearing while stoned to the point I pee every episode. I guess I’ll have to buy diapers.

knightthymeWhat. Is. This. This show is basically... the conversations you have in the booth at IHOP at 2:30 in the morning trying to get sober while simultaneously getting sugar-jerked on fake maple. And you know what? I’m into it. I’m a long time listener of Greeting Adventurers, which is how I fumbled into Dear Internet. I enjoy listening to Jennifer run this show and absolutely own her cohosts. You guys rock. I have laughed so hard that I cried. Everything is amazing. Thank you for this COVID gift.
-
The One & Only VanessowJust listen alreadyThis show is hilarious. I love listening to a bunch of people who enjoy each other's company talk about all the weird encounters one of them has had, and also read questions of people asking for situational validation on the internet. For real though, where do you think those beans ended up though?
-
Ergonomic CatLove itThis show is so good. If you are very much too much online, you’ll recognize some of the questions, but the cast’s discussions are really why you’re listening anyway. This is a great successor to Cast of Thrones.
-
athermkCast of Thrones brought me hereI’ve been listening to Dear Internet since the beginning. This has become one of my favorite podcasts, and I’m always happy when I get a new episode notification. So glad you all are putting out weekly episodes now!

Bobby is not meWe finally get the buried in corn story!Great podcast for unwinding from the high stakes reality we live in with low stakes “reality” plus you finally get the buried in corn story that Nick teased in 2012 in Cast of Thrones. Well worth the 8 year wait!

UlfrikA Sign of the CultureSo funny. Such good hosts. I truly have come to love the Geekly crew over the years. The antics on their shows have gotten me through some very difficult times. So why the single star? They hate me. They e stated that they hate me. I can honestly say I don’t really hate anyone, not even my ex-wife or my school yard bully. I’m a CIS, Straight, Christian, Anglo male. I have friends and loved ones from literally every walk of life. I support charities and try to show kindness to everyone I come into contact with. I’m also one of the 71,000,000 (plus or minus). I didn’t vote because I love bigotry or Nazis. I didn’t vote to keep anyone from reproductive rights. I didn’t vote because of any of those reasons that I’ve been screamed at for, both virtually and IRL. I voted my conscience. And as a citizen of the US that’s my right. But. Even though we share so many commonalities (all the geeklies and myself, that is—D&D, Anime, Comics, Video Games, Sci-Fi, etc...), I’m hated. They don’t want me to support their lovely and humorous and stress-relieving (and believe me we ALL need a heaping teaspoonful of that in 2020) art. I love you all, Geeklies. You’re so talented and you’ve given me so many laughs over the years with all of your delicious content. And, while you don’t want to have someone of my ilk darkening your community (although, I argue I have never darkened any community or set out to make any individual intentionally scared, uncomfortable, angry, or sad), I pledge to not partake of your art—at your behest, not because I want to stop listening. To all the hosts, thank you for all of the amazing content you’ve poured into my ears and my heart. All you geeklies out there in the community, thank you for loving me, up til now. Or at least, thank you for allowing me to lurk. I pray all of you (hosts and community alike) have the most wonderful happy lives. I hope your days are filled with kindness and your hearts with love. Know that, no matter what happens to resolve this painful year, if you need anything from me, and it’s in my power to give, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Most of you will have stopped reading this long since, now, and I truly appreciate if you even gave a cursory glance. For now—maybe forever—Mata nē. Peace. Ulfriknfritz D0kb4nz41

ShaggaSonofDolphZigglerThis is hardLet me start by saying I love this podcast. The chemistry in the crew is undeniable. However i also believe that comedy should be a force that unites people and not drive them further apart. In the latest episode “corn coffin” at the end the entire cast agreed with the sentiment that if you voted for Trump you’re a bad person and they don’t want your support. That being said I didn’t vote for Trump, however It’s hyperbolic statements like that that have driven this country so far apart. We can all come together and unite under the banner of comedy and laugh and forget our problems. But saying you don’t want listeners who have different points of view and different experiences isn’t a healthy way to view life. the way to reunite with our communities isn’t to shut out those we disagree with but to find common ground and laugh and live together. I love Dear Internet and would gladly edit my review to the 5 stars they deserve because they work so hard on this, but I think it needs to be addressed that just because someone has a different life experience or point of view doesn’t make them a bad person.

Breakinbones@fizzcrankThe friends you want to haveThis podcast gives you another side of some very fun people in the geekly and gaming world. They are all funny and make you wish you knew them or people like them in these crazy times. Listen to this podcast and have a fun break from all the stress.

Bsdc bsdcAmazing MaterialYou have put together a consummate podcast. With Jennifer leading three willing and capable cohosts, this show is going to visit some messed up places. *No one* is better at finding the weird, bizarre, or socially awkward on the internet and dispensing something approximating help to those who are looking for it. I listen to this show every other week as soon as it’s available!
