His attitude and tenacity shine through in not only this podcast, but in the content he puts out and the positive energy he so graciously bestows on his followers. I had heard of Dialed Health and it’s mission before Derek’s accident, but started to implement some of his teachings in my everyday life more recently. As someone who struggles immensely with PTSD and finding light in a world seemingly filled with darkness, this podcast feels like a god send. Derek and Dialed Health have helped me rediscover my inner strength and given me guidance when my passion for cycling/training was lost. I still feel that I am healing, and am immensely grateful for the Dialed Health podcast.

SheparzaEssential InformationI suffered a stroke in 2016 due to a vertebral artery dissection. That ended my swimming “career” but brought me to cycling and I fell in deep. Over the next few years I lost 25 pounds, essentially all of my muscle mass above the waste. Once I hit 40 I really started to feel it and it became clear that I needed to change my training style. Serendipitously, this is when I discovered Derek Teel and Dialed Health. Strength training prevents injury, preserves neuromuscular connections (I can’t afford to lose any more), and makes me feel more confident/stable/productive when riding and doing the activities of daily life. The Dialed Health podcast is an essential resource that is packed with useful information. What I learn listening helps me optimize my training, nutrition, recovery, and much more.

Roam Recap ~ Really just an incredible ride! I even checked out some of Derek's segment times on Strava and couldn’t believe he rode 41 minutes up Geiger!! Especially after all the riding he’d done up to that point!! 🤯 Guess I can take some pride that he didn’t beat my Geiger PR of 38:44 😊😉 I hope all the Dialed Health fans enjoy this episode as much as I did! Not only was it super inspirational but I really appreciate all the riding info tips and advice ~ that’s why I’m here ~ to learn and improve. faventLet your guests talkYour Jesse Melamed podcast should be renamed “Jesse Melamed listens to host rant about random fitness talking points” I have never taken the time to write a review before but listening to this episode compelled me. The whole point of having interesting guests on your show is to hear what THEY have to say. This episode must be 80% host, 20% Jesse. If you don’t have a guest I get it, you need to fill time but this was ridiculous, I’m impressed with Jesse’s patience.

So much insight from Derek & his guests… everything from accountability, mindset, food, workouts on and off the bike. There’s so many questions answered that the people in the back are too shy to ask or maybe don’t even know to describe. Super valuable info to the entire bike community. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking to step your game up.
