I live in a west coast city near Sausalito (I’m sure Ronna and Bryan can guess which one!). Every time I visit Sausalito I tell whomever I’m with about the band in LOST IN TRANSLATION and say “We are…Sausalito” just like the woman in the movie. I was so delighted when Bryan also did this on a recent episode, because NO ONE ever remembers it when I say it. I’m not Banana Pancakes and I don’t eat them, but I make Trader Joe’s protein pancakes every weekend and add blueberries to them. I would happy to make breakfast for Bryan whenever he’s in the Bay. (Ronna, too, but I know she hates Trader Joe’s, except for the peppermint Joe-Joe’s.) Since this is a review, I’ll also mention that this is my favorite podcast of all time and the highlight of my week (Tuesday and Friday - of course I’m a top-tier Patreon subscriber as well).

5 stars - Ronna absolutely clocked me when I tried to sneak a $0 cameo-esque wedding shoutout request by her. She’s always a step ahead of you.

Ronna and Bryan saved my life - more or less literally! They gave me advice that helped me get my life back on track after a life-changing illness. A year later, I’m finally better enough I can leave this absolutely loving and delighted review - I wish I could crack wiser, but I simply must be earnest since they helped me so much. Grab a dirty martini, put on your most fabulous housedress and/or feather boa, and be ready for your life to be changed.

My favorite episodes are when Ronna and Bryan will tear into a parking lot letter and its writer.

I used to love this podcast and was an avid listener. I took a break for about two years and came back to it today. On the Feb 25 episode the guest made flippant comments about Hamas coming to find Michael Rapaport. 1 year into a genocide led by the 15th most powerful military in the world (170k active military and 465k reserve soldiers) against a colonized people living in conditions worse than those of Jim Crow and Apartheid South Africa. Keeping his comment in the show gives credence to the unjust war being perpetrated by that state against a people who have the right to fight against oppression. Needless to say, I will be sticking with Bryan’s other podcasts and have unsubscribed.

This podcast has everything: thoughtful life advice, great guests, a wise intellectual from Marblehead, and the witty and whacky smoke show that is Bryan. To say I’m attached to Bryan is an understatement. What else could a guy ask for? My fantasy is to see him on that one grimey app the next time he’s in the Providence RI area, meet up so he can have his way with these cheeks, and we have a whirlwind love affair because we just can’t get enough of each other. The smile, the humor, the thoughtful yet outrageous life advice, the work ethic, the sultry voice… 🫦 I highly recommend this podcast, if for no other reason than to hear this sexy and sassy fruit seduce you simply with the sound of his voice slicing through the cacophony of a Bostonian grandmothah. Real spank bank material.

Years later I still think about, laugh about, and talk about Ronna describing a necrophiliac working at a funeral home-adjacent hair salon as being "too close to the candy store" - 5 stars only.

I’ve had enough. Every Tuesday and Friday, my favorite socialites and advice givers provide us with the most poignant tips in navigating this world, and after I’m done agreeing and laughing, I get frustrated that more of my friends don’t listen! This is where all of those cult docs should come in handy, as I need to convince them all to jump on board lest I continue to hear them repeat the same mistakes over and over. If only I was an engineer, I could code a Chat RGB (Ronna Glickman and Bryan) so any time we need a quick quip we could simply type it in and receive wisdom from our excellences. P.S. eternal thanks for your post election episode. I’ve never binged so hard, laughed (lahffed?) with such joy, and tenderly cried as I do when listening to these two and their extinguished guests (or not, as I’m a proud member of Bryan’s Romper Room so enjoy Patreon episodes as well). Each episode is a delight, they are fun, playful, heartfelt and the advice is really, really, f-ing good (sorry, Ronna - if this is read aloud I hope Bryan is reading it). I have never missed an episode from the very jump, be it free feed or Patreon. I have written in to Ronna (and Bryan) multiple times, but only prior to the publication of the Bible of Naomi’s Style Guide, and I wholly respect their wise decision never to answer (or probably even read) any of my desperate parking lot ramblings, though such justifiable avoidance left me to my own underwhelming devices. I don’t even want to admit where that has left me. What I wouldn’t do for just a moment of Shtetl Clairvoyance™️ to rectify my broken life. Thank you, Ronna (& Bryan) for all you do for your Carriage House community, and I can just pray for enough clarity to one day formulate a question with enough import, precision, and brevity to be worthy of your unparalleled (though never sage) advice.

I started with “Beverly and Ronna” years ago. I am a Ronna - always was, always will be. When that podcast stopped I was sad until… a NEW podcast! With RONNA!!! Ronna is a world builder and she brings everyone in. Even when you can hear Paul F. Tompkins or Scott Aukerman struggling) and failing) to keep a straight face, or Brian lobs a helicopter bomb, Ronna goes beyond ‘Yes and’ - Ronna is a universe. “Ask Ronna” combines caricature, interview, talk show, travel, Insider Show Business - and most surprisingly, tough and compassionate and often funny advice. The mix of genres augment, contrast, complement, roast each other. You never know what will come next except that it will be deft and layered. This is a ‘Flawless, excuse me!’ place to visit.
