Howdy! Longtime first time, and man lemme tell ya, as an Android guy it was a TASK to figure out how to leave a review. But this show is worth it and it's easily one of the best vidoe game podcasts ever made. They have some of the most intersting and diverse casts in games podcasts (whihc is quite a feat alone), and they manage to always passonately discuss eveyr game and topic on each episode. And shout out to the community for bringing some of the best questions since my time listening to old school Giant Bomb. Ben and the team should be proud of the show they put out every week, and it has easily become one of my weekly staples. I even subbed on Patreon to hear more from them! My entry into video game news and reviews began with Game Informer magazine thanks to a subscription through Software Etc. in 2001 (which later became GameStop). I read those magazines religiously and carried them with me everywhere. Eventually I discovered the Game Informer Show, a companion podcast, that Ben Hanson hosted. When Ben left, I was heartbroken because the effort he put into the podcast elevated it above his predecessors and successors. Upon learning of MinnMax, a podcast and YouTube show Ben had created with a handful of former Game Informer staff writers, I was elated. MinnMax is a video game news outlet featuring a revolving door of hosts that allows for a diverse set of viewpoints on the latest in news and reviews. In this day and age where I no longer have any print subscriptions, MinnMax keeps me well-informed on the latest video game updates and they are the only source I depend upon to keep up-to-date. Special shoutout to “The Deepest Dive” which is a video game equivalent to a book club. Minnmax rocks. Ben is the best host in video game podcasts (seriously, no hyperbole). All the cohorts are great. The show is funny and entertaining for sure but I really appreciate the diversity of perspectives you get on games. A lot of game podcasts are basically 3 ppl monologuing at each other because they are the only person this week who played the game. Minnmax has enough regulars to rotate in and out that you always get multiple perspectives. As a relative newcomer to this podcast, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at just how great it is. The rotating cast of cohorts means the discussion is always different and interesting, and Hanson is an incredible host who directs the conversation between everyone. If you like gaming podcasts, this is an easy recommendation.

MinnMax is a great example of how to have critical conversations about games in a positive manner.
