    Give me more Jack Luna!
Jack Luna is my favorite voice out there! His writing is superb. Jack sets the bar high for for me when it comes to true crime. I discovered him on Monstero and I’ve followed his podcast career. Thanks Jack! Keep up the amazing work!!!

    Great!
    They are awesome together

    Do over
You should re-record these with Kent, they would be much better without Jack.

Episode 006 - The Men in the Road
An awesome telling of the Betty & Barney Hill story!!!

Review of THE MEN IN THE ROAD.
This is absolutely the most well written and incredibly well told version of Betty and Barney Hill I’ve ever heard, told by Jack Luna. I absolutely love Jack Luna’s writing style and could listen to him read anything he creates. I truly appreciate being able to have access to this short series. Dark Topic, Monstro, and the 911 Operator have brought many hours of intense listening. I also enjoy the back and forth banter of Jack and the Operator on 911 calls. Keep up the stellar work guys.

    Just Do It.
Crime Machine is truly a genius idea, it was the podcast that hooked me on 11:59 Media. The concept is to take you into “a moment in crime”. I believe The Operator and Jack really succeed in doing so. The way it’s recorded is so… creepy. The pauses, the music, sounds behind Jacks voice, Jacks voice… I love how incredibly descriptive it is. It genuinely makes you feel like you’re having a true crime “A Christmas Carol” moment, and Jack is some sort of dark ghost of True Crime past. The production from both Jack and The Operator is flawless. Crime Machine is also the first introduction to The Operator, and if you follow any of the 11:59 media groups on Facebook (go do that by the way…hugs!), or listen to their other podcasts, you’ll know how much we’ve all grown to love The Operator. I may be biased… Ok, I am REALLY biased, but I will recommend Crime Machine to anyone and everyone, no apologies either, it’s THAT good. Just go listen and thank me later ❤️

Always a yes, when it comes from 11:59 Media
Keep slaying! Anything you create is true crime gold. I would be lost without you. 🖤🖤🖤💋

    Hmmm
Weird that the operator and jack went on to do better things together. I don’t hear their chemistry on this series. Jack seems more annoyed by the operator than anything 😬 I’m never a fan of episodes under 30 minutes with multiple ads. But I’m glad you guys released this because I’ve looked for it in the past and couldn’t find it.

    Hope it’s back to stay
I loved Crime Machine and well anything from 11:59. I hope it’s back to stay. It’s a unique way of looking at true crime stories in a different way.

So glad to see this again
I really hope they keep making these, I personally love the production and the writing. Luna is an extremely amazing storyteller and shines on this. The Op is also great as an MC for and reminds of the perfect quirky sidekick for the whole show. Great job guys! Keep it up and make some tees!

    Leaves me wanting more...
...but not sure if that is a good thing yet.

    Horrible
I liked most of the dark topic stuff this is just really bad. Geez.

    This is embarrassing.
This podcast is so bad I sent it to a few friends and asked if it was just me.

    Hip to be square
Luna is so talented. I’ve always felt like I’m there with him as he tells a story - an amazing story teller. His writing is always fantastic and the production is 100 percent. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this podcast, and his future.

Sorry but the fake German accent is painful
I always enjoy hearing Jack tell a story and appreciate his insights but that addition of the operator is bad, mainly the accent.

    Full Moon At Last!
So glad Jack found his square hole. This is genius, cutting edge entertainment.

  • Pinkkarr
    GENIUS!
I absolutely LOVE the new, creative angle it’s told from. The production is so different and entertaining - not overdone like some have said considering it’s SUPPOSED to be a production, not just some plain narrator.
  • mcvf27
    Overproduced to death
I loved Dark Topic. Sadly Crime Machine has removed all of the rough-around-the-edges charm of Jack Luna's orginal and mangled it with a bunch of bizarre and uneccesary audio effects and the ludicrous Operator. I was so distracted by all the nonsense I couldn't even listen to the stories. Unsubbed.

Much needed new take on true crime!
I was a big fan of Dark Topic since it’s beginning, and was initially super sad to see it go. However, Jack Luna’s sendoff for the show was eye-opening, personal, reflective and made sure I went into listening to CRIME MACHINE with an open mind. So glad, because I am into it! Crime Machine offers a fresh perspective on the true crime genre of podcasts with a riveting tone that only Jack Luna could pull off! Enjoy!

    No no no !!!!!!!!
I only gave this 2 stars because of my love of Jack Luna, and his voice, and his black humor and his calling a spade a spade ..With that being said, I’m very sad to see DT gone, your way of just telling the story with some of your added observations & opinions was so spot on. To borrow the words of some of the reviews I have read...This new effort is just To CHEESY... you do not need all of that fluff like the OPERATOR ...it’s like you dumbed down your show ..
  • Nullity
The production is distracting and a bit much
It’s only the first episode so I will give it two more but the production is overdone, overused, and just a bit much. Will update this review at that time. Edit: I can’t get through even episode two. I give up. Unsubbed.
  • Acthatcher
    So cheesy
Over the top. I liked dark topic, so I’m really bummed this is its replacement. It’s so cheesy now
  • samswenson
It’s my show. So it gets 5 stars.
This is a very exciting way to view rarely-investigated angles of some of the most notorious crimes.
  • NickyNueves
    Operator
Super bummed Dark Topic is over, it was an awesome take on true crime with great Luna life commentary. Was stoked to get some more Jack Luna, would have given this 4 or 5 Stars, but the Operator is poorly done and distracting. Hopefully it gets better with time.
  • Dm8907
    Fantastic!
Jack, you’ve out done yourself! I can’t wait for more content. I thought Dark Topic was awesome, but Crime Machine just might be better. You, good sir, may have just struck true crime gold! Kudos, and well done.
  • Tazzychell
    Love the transition!
I loved Dark Topic until Jack got his sidekick. Was super happy when I checked back in yesterday to see he decided to move on to a different project. Being that I didn’t care for the last co-narrator on DT, I was uncertain about the Operator but (!), I must say, i like their chemistry- it’s natural and not forced like... . Jack-you don’t have to be a round peg (and f ur dad). This is your calling. Revel in finding your niche- writing is your thing man! Go write some books and make mad cash ;). But still do podcasts bc I would miss you if you left :((
  • gators gal
    Definitely different
But I’m diggin the hell out of it so far so hey keep it coming!!
  • Anjele
    Great premise, poor execution.
The plan to present crimes from a different point in time than what's already known is good and could work quite well but it jumped the shark with the smarmy Operator with bad jokes and a worse accent. A lot of talent going to waste.
  • Supelvis1976
    Yes
Definitely hit out of the park with the first swing. Can’t wait until next week.
  • Mean Miss C
    I haven’t even listened yet :)
I’m a betting person and I’ll wager 5 stars on Luna. He’s an awesome story teller so I’m excited to hear the new podcast! Onward !

    I❤️the Operator
I thought Jack was my fav, that was until the Operator. The debriefing episode made me literally laugh out loud at work. You guys are great!

Refreshing and Unique in an Over-Saturated Podcasting Genre
I love Mr. Luna, the guy is as real as they come; I don’t know him from Adam in “real life” but I can tell from other times I’ve heard him speak, that he’s candid and that he cares about his work and he cares about his audience. The first episode was great and if that’s any indication of what’s to come, then this is going to be a great podcast. Cheers, brother!

    LUNA! The captain has returned
I love everything you do and I’m already blown away by the first episode!

    Jack Luna Is The Man
I had listened to my top list of true crime episodes for the week and I was busy working and needed something to have in the background. I came across Dark Topic. It was not at all what I was used to but I quickly fell in love with Jack’s podcast and personality. Of course since that podcast has ended I quickly came here to this new adventure of his. And have not been disappointed. Thanks Jack for a new gem to have on my Podcast subscription! Your personality and work are fabulous.

Loved dark topic and love this! Different and excellently put together 🙏🏻

    Luna-tic
Was bummed to hear that dark topic was shutting down shop. Then the start of this first episode almost had me switching to something else....dahmer...heard it before...but completely different than i expected. Way sick idea. I hope this podcast follows this content path.

    true crime podcast gets deep
Awesome podcast, great variety of topics, a fresh take on true crime. Worth EVERY second.

    🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I will follow Jack Luna to the end of the Earth! I love that this podcast touches on specific parts of well known cases instead of the usual storybook type of narrative that we’re used to. Can’t wait for more!
  • I hear you, I'm listening.
    I’ll consume it all.
I’m a super fan of all things True Crime. I love Luna and The Gang. I will remain a loyal listener as long as he remains real l, to which I forecast not being an issue. Keep It Up. Thanks for the view and entertainment.
