    Raise one to this podcast
I really like this one. I just discovered it in October 2021 while working on the road in Pennsylvania. I may be biased, being a Tar Heel myself. Great narration, great history, and a voice made for podcasting. This guy should narrate books. It does make me thirsty though.

    Historically accurate and entertaining
This has been, by far, my favorite podcast series that I’ve found. The historical aspect of it is spot on married with the fact that it’s entertaining and the narrator’s way of gripping his audience, it is one you won’t be able to walk away from.

Tell The Truth, The Whole Truth
Enjoy program but, after listening to your story about the King vs. Riggs match, you failed to tell the whole truth. You made great effort to tell the story with all the details and make it sound like the match was a traditional tennis match but, it wasn't. You left out one very big fact. You didn't mention that King played only the singles court while Riggs had to play the doubles court. If you don't play tennis and you don't know the difference, that's a huge advantage for King! It wasn't close to an "equal" match! You fall into the same trap people did back then saying she was his equal when she wasn't. In the future, tell the whole truth, or don't tell the story without all the important facts.

Informative look at the little less known side of whiskey
Let me start off by saying I live in Frankfort, Kentucky the home of Buffalo Trace so my interest in bourbon is inherited. My grandfather worked at Old Taylor and Old Crow distilleries and was the president of the distillers union back in the day so I love a look back into history of spirits. Whiskey Lore fills that niche perfectly with interesting stories and Drew’s voice resonates like some of the best voices of show business. Whiskey Lore is at time humorous and other times more somber. If I had complaints it would be that they are a too short in length (you just want to keep listening) and this being a podcast it would make a wonderful 30 minute PBS show with historical photos and traveling to where the stories take place. Perhaps some day?!? Regardless this has become a must listen for me! Prost!

    Great Whisky stories
Great podcast to learn some interesting information about Whisky. The original music sounds to much like a funeral, but the content is well produced.

    Wee Bit of Storytelling
Each episode delves into a piece of history in the whiskey world. It could be about a distillery and its origins or the legal gymnastics that every jurisdiction imposes upon its residents or interviews with master distillers sharing their passions. Well produced and enjoyable to listen to. If Dan Carlin did a podcast about whiskey, this might be how it would sound.
