former fan32InterruptingPlease Scott, for the love of God let Steve finish a sentence
-
Lumbie 22Where’s Gordo?Obviously you guys have a 5 star podcast, however, not having Gordo on for some prognostications is unacceptable and a real hit to my 2025, perhaps we can figure it out moving forward to the other majors. Thank You

MisterHellJHey there cupcakeIs there anything we can do to stop hearing Stanford Steve eat and chew during the podcast? Seriously Steve, that’s disgusting. We don’t need to hear you slurping down cuties and munching on funyons. Alright Scotty, I forgive you for all your Iowa hate after that Josh Groban episode. Is there any chance we can replace Steve with him? What a bright dude. I was today years old when I found out that Stanford him was the voice actor for the hit 80’s sitcom, self titled, Alf! Give him a listen and tell me I’m wrong.

CostEngineerStanford Steve Eating and Drinking During EpisodesSome episodes Stanford Steve will be eating and/or drinking in an episode. Stay in the Fight is the latest one for me. It is so disgusting as it sets off my ASMR gag reflex. Only made this a one star review in an effort to make them aware of it so the mic can be turned off or he pauses eating during recording. Normally a five star show.

d mailmanUncLove the pod but stay off the heels back won six straight scored over 80 in all six and over 90 in the last three you and Stanford said who’s playing hot this time of year should have a chance

kearneybkCan you fix the volume levels for the people?Love the show, but something is off with the volume levels. Can barely hear SVP and Stanford Steve and then almost fell out of my chair when my eardrums got blasted with the ads.
-
GBooCoPlease fix the volume levels!Love you guys! I hope with all the might of ESPN productions, someone can figure out how to fix the volume levels. The guys are super quiet and commercials ear-splitting.
-
Iceway519ImprovedThe show has always been great. Letting the language be more ‘real’ I believe helps. Not too much of it which is fine with me. Loved the story of no free twos. Told my youngest that in 6th grade. Next game she sent a girl into the wall on a breakaway layup (no one was hurt) Forgot to give her the detail of go for the ball when you do it! Advice at that age is taken literally. I am a 62 year old retired banker and listen frequently. Keep up the good work and keep em coming!
-
RetiredButNotDeadPeanut butter and AndeliPlease improve your production to be precise, your volume levels. This podcast started with a very loud commercial then SVP a little less loud and then Steve hardly audible! I don’t wanna spend the entire podcast close to my volume control so that I can turn it down. Turn it up. Turn it down turn up even when I turned it up I could barely hear Steve. You’re better than this. Fix this!!!

AvaWarmackLanguageShow not as clean as it was as getting too crass with some of the “four letter words “.
-
mboltzColts Fan MattI know you guys spent the first 30 giving the packers their flowers, but you really ought to go up there when the weather is actually nice. We went for the home opener this season for the colts game and shoe buddy they know how to throw a party up there. Superlatives aren’t enough. If you root for an away team, and you play up there, then go. It’s worth it. They do it all the way right.
-
KoosticdeadLove this “non sport episode”The pod with Josh Grobon- this is gold! More more more of these. Mad new respect for Grobon!

jamesbhai0325Has become incredibly boringI have been a listener for years and enjoyed immensely. However, since the Omaha reboot much of the original appeal is gone. You need to develop segments for listeners to anticipate. On the old pod, there was family life talk to break up the content. My 10-year-old daughter could identify with the family life. I identified with the stories of fatherhood. Flag football, swimming, beach trips and more. You could look forward to One Thing I Hate. Just like Bad Beats and Winners on tv, these segments add variety and depth. Now, it’s just an hour of monotone football conversation with SS frequently talking over SVP. When the MLB playoffs started, including both SVP and Stanford Steve’s favorite teams. Yet, baseball was relegated to a handful of minutes at the end on the O’s (and nothing on the Mets). I love football. But an hour of college and an hour of NFL monotone is largely a waste of 2 hours. Either they have overcommitted to 2 hours on top of their busy schedules or they have become lazy. The result comes across as unprepared and mailing it in. Please shorten the pod and use invest that time in making it more interesting again.

Davedrass2317STOP EATING ON THE MIC!!!!Be a professional. Start 5 minutes later. Be a professional!
-
TCfromDCBest CFB recapI look forward to their college football recaps. I can’t believe how quickly the show comes out after the games on Saturday. Stanford Steve gives you the recap from Game Day and SVP gives a great overview from what he saw on TV. I love the podcast.

MkduffyDolan InterviewThe Dolan Interview was outstanding! Im a parent and I coach high school basketball. I could totally relate to being wired differently and having to turn it off when I walked through the door. You guys made it sound easy. I haven’t always been successful, but I recognize how important it is.

Litespeed riderThe BestOf all the podcasts I listen to this is the best. SVP and Stanford Steve just have great, funny conversations that make you feel like you would like to sit down and have a beer with them. Their conversations about life other than sports is just as engaging. SVP is the only person left at ESPN that I will tune in to.
-
Ryan BurnhamHilarious duoThey are the best duo and have a unique sense of humor. The peewee football analysis is by far the best segment and a must-listen. Looking forward to next season. They could talk zero sports and it would be just as entertaining, if not more.
-

Lightning DrewWhat I Hate ExperienceA “What I hate” bit you guys did on the pod a while ago happened to me last night. Wife and I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary and went to a local well-known establishment in Tampa to watch Game 1 of Lightning v. Panthers. We get there in plenty of time, seated at the bar and about puck drop wife looks at her watch and says “I wonder if they’re going to put the game on.” I asked the bartender the same and he says “Me too.” I asked the manager walking by and she and another employee proceed to fumble with the remotes and all of a sudden that commotion ends and - no game. Now, 5 tvs. 3 are playing a Rays replay game, 1 is doing NBA talk, and 1 is playing a cornhole tournament. Come on. Manager is now nowhere to be found and when coming into sight, avoids me like the plague. So, I then stream the game on my phone propped up between my wife and I on the bar and the bartender asks, “what are you watching?” To which I said “the game!” He then walks away. A foursome then walks in wearing Lightning gear and asked if they were going to put the game on and the manager gave a sorrowful response and the group walked out. Restaurant easily missed out on a couple hundos between my wife and I and that group. We quickly ate our grub, paid, and walked across the street to finish out the game at another spot. SOMEBODY has to be able to work the tv’s especially in playoff time at a restaurant that is less than 4 miles from the arena. Get it done. Thought you guys would appreciate this.

What-A-Save-Dave<3One love Otis
-
RPS1919Rick from BuffaloSorry to hear about Otis . My bulldog is my life I don’t look forward to that day. Great tribute brought me to tears. I’m a big fan of you and Steve. The only reason I put ESPN on anymore. God bless fella’s!!

EricKuhnSVP Pod — One Big ThingThe thing I love about SVP on SC and on the Pod is that he knows his stuff, has plenty of accolades to prove it, but seems like a guy I’d love to play a round of golf with and have a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich afterward. I’ve always appreciated his insights and the nuance that he brings to the Sports discussion. It’s not always win or lose, how many rings he/she has, or who is the GOAT? The hot takes that many other shows rely on for ratings are over the top and don’t aid a good conversation. SVP brings those conversations, especially when Stanford Steve is in the room. I have watched or listened for years, and still appreciate the humility to be grateful for where he is in the industry. And you gotta love the Bad Beats and the One Big Thing. Keep up the good work, boys! I hope you win an Emmy. Ernie is great, but give SVP & Stanford Steve and the team their flowers.
