I enjoy Senator Cruz's insider perspectives. However, the podcast is very difficult to listen to. Ben says a sentence, Ted says a sentence, then 2-3 minutes of ads.

You guys need to go back to your roots and go back to less advertising. I enjoy the discussion but way too many interruptions.

Love the podcast and topics of discussion but I’ve literally stopped listening because of all the ads. I’d say about 40% of the show is just ads. I refer to it as the “Chumba Casino Show” with Ted Cruz occasionally interrupting it.

Used to listen to every episode, but now I’m fast forwarding more of the episode than I’m listening to with all these ads. Ben Ferguson will talk for nearly 6 mins about some paid service. Really ruined it for me.

I like what Ted. But ever since Ben took over it’s been nothing but ads.

I used to listen to this podcast religiously when it was Senator Cruz and Michael Knowles but when Ben Ferguson replaced Michael, the podcast became unlistenable.

I love this podcast. I have not missed a single episode since it’s inception. I understand this is a business and it needs sponsors but holy mackerel the amount of ads and ad reads is getting to the point it almost impossible to keep listening 😔 it’s probably 35% ad time

Ted Cruz, famous for shutting down government, and going to elite college and then with all that exposure to knowledge, decides to believe, what a normal person wouldn’t. Lacks all credibility. Twisted. Great for people who want fascism, and corporate control of the economy and laws that take away freedom, except for guns of course. 43,000 deaths a year. That’s on them.

I have been Listening to the Verdict from the beginning. It gives you an insight into what is happening in Congress and events that are happening right now.

The content is pretty good when they are actually talking, but it seems like ads take up at least 2/3 of the shows time. Starts with ads, do the intro, more ads, talk a few minutes, more ads, and on and on and on. It’s been getting worse. I’m done listening to it.

Like Trump, you care about yourself, period. Texas and America deserve so much better than what you have to offer, which is performative, toxic behaviors

They put out several podcasts per week, but there seems to be so much repetitive information that I end up just deleting it because I don’t want to listen to the same thing multiple times. I would rather once a week podcast with new information than three or four a week with the same stuff over and over.

I used to listen to every new episode, but in recent months something had bothered me. The mic is way to close or too sensitive and picks up his breathing, also “you’re exactly right” is uttered every time the co host makes a statement. It’s annoying to me now, but if you can get over my issues it has good content.

I find this podcast to be informative, albeit fairly self-promoting if Sen Cruz (but hey, it’s his production, right)? The standout issue for me is one of the sponsors whose name I’ll withhold to avoid embarrassment but which will be recognizable to listeners and other conservatives. The company’s claim to fame is their support of conservative causes while their woke competitors support liberal causes. They contend I should switch to their service so they can direct part of the fees I pay them to these conservative causes but I contend they should reduce my fees by the amount they would donate so I can keep more of my own money (sound familiar?) and decide for myself whether, how and to whom my windfall savings should be donated. THAT is a conservative approach; not simply telling me they’ll direct my funds to conservative causes they determine worthy of my money.

One of the most informative pods out there. I also don’t like ads. I wait until after the broadcast is over, listen later at my convenience and fast forward through the ads. No problem. I still hear the beginning of them to see if I’m interested then onward.

I love this podcast but I think it has the most commercials of any podcast. Other than that, long live Verdict!

Love the honest, forthright insight from Senator Cruz. Only negative is the excessive amount of ads. You could endure the often excess of 5 minutes on the front end but the amount and length of the ads throughout almost make it impossible to listen. Earn those sponsorship dollars, by all means! But dang, couldn’t you dial it back a little?

I liked the podcast more w/ Michael Knowles. I feel like all we hear from Ben Ferguson is ads. I want to hear the full interview, not just snippets. Maybe what they can do is put all the ads at the beginning and after that, just let Ted talk about what's going on. updated 9.7.24 12 minutes of ads for a 52 minute podcast. AND the ads don't seem to go to the right market. If it wouldn't be for Senator Cruz being there, it would be zero stars. Change the ads.

The content is easily worth the minor inconvenience of skipping through ads.

Would be half the length without ads. They start with two and a half minutes of ads, then they talk, then two midroll pre-recorded ads, then he says "great point but first I want to talk about our friends over at...". No need for so many ads. Happened after IHeart bought them. I listen to all the episodes and 1 star ALL the podcasts and garbage gambling apps they push.

Best political podcast

The topics discussed and the information Cruz provides is important, but the show has lost its luster to the point I have mostly stopped listening. Over time, the ads have become way too much. In the latest episode: BRAZIL BANS X, 4 of the first 6 minutes were ads. In comparison, the longest ad break I’ve ever had on every other podcast is about 90 seconds. It’s simply ridiculous. Although I do like Ferguson, I miss Knowles. He just seems to control the flow of the conversation better. Asking a question and just letting Cruz talk. Ferguson interrupts Cruz way too much. So many times, Cruz is going on a great rant with juicy info and Ferguson will chime in for no reason to finish his sentence or ask another question.

For content I give this podcast 5 stars. If I was rating this for the number of ads, I’d give zero stars!

I really like the content of this podcast. I enjoy hearing Cruz’s perspective (although like any politician he is very self-aggrandizing), but the amount of ads continue to increase. I do not have the time to do this but I would suspect if you timed the content and the ads, there might be more ads than content. I never post reviews but I am posting this one in the hopes that after seeing just how many of us who enjoy the content can no longer tolerate the ads, they will make a change. I understand they need to generate money, but this is getting out of hand.
