nrm5Debasing classic sci-fiEvery show is sabotaged multiple times by one of the three hosts: “cringe — Kirk or some other MAN (yuck) exhibited sexual attraction to a female.” Well, that’s biology folks and we’re watching a show made when men were men and women were women — get over it. Jim and ARon, across all of their podcasts, consistently have interesting and substantive analysis, but I can’t finish episode 4 on this one. Leave the woke political commentaries out and review the philosophical and scientific themes that make ST:TOS classic sci-fi — you’ll have a great show.

dkluftFavorite podcasters meet favorite franchiseI was fascinated to learn that my favorite podcasters were tackling my favorite franchise. The great results are highly logical, and the addition of Talitha is icing on the cake. The only thing that could top this for me is full bald move coverage of The Wire (I know, not gonna happen)

Joe HerbersFun discussion of TrekI always enjoy hearing their thoughtful views on various shows. They watch the episodes multiple times, and have a good discussion.

Deadhead-Dan10New to TrekAnd pretty much only watching because I want more Bald Move coverage. They hit a Grand Slam w/ Expanse & Foundation recommendations so checking out Strange New Worlds. Stumbled upon them for Hoise of Dragons, then again for We Own this Town…now I’m a devoted fan and spend at least 1-2 hours w/ A.Ron & Jim daily. I listen to plenty of stuff and these guys are consistently more intelligent and interesting than anyone else I’ve heard.

MatthewLeifDo Not EngageI can think of several things I’d rather do (root canal, pound my head against a wall, etc) than listen to a couple of entitled Trek Bros with lame STU knowledge joke on and on about Deanna’s rape. Hilarious! Sure, it’s fiction, but it made me sick and I doubt I’m alone. “Hey look, dude! We also get to swear while we dump on the show! High five!”

AngBachEngagedGlad I found you guys and always look forward to a new episode. You are funny and I feel like the commentary you are making is the same kind of thing my friends/ family and I would be saying if we were all sitting in a room together watching the show.

amcphersonToo NegativeI started Season 3 with Bald Move, because I used to listen to their stuff a lot. However, I feel they have become too negative, to the point that it hurts my enjoyment of the show. Too often, A Ron resorts to accusing the writers or show runners of laziness or misunderstanding the characters, when it would be better to acknowledge that he would have done a scene differently. I appreciate criticism, but this is fundamentally entertainment, and I prefer the coverage to come from a place of affection, rather than jaded contempt.

DJSkinSoSmoovYikes, no thanks. If you want to hear two guys with limited Trek knowledge nitpick and dump on every second of a show, this is the podcast for you! If you can’t find one thing to like, even when discussing a Great episode, maybe don’t do a podcast on it.

davith LoerahAnother home run!As always, Jim & A.Ron, have made this viewing experience that much better. It’s like having friends to watch it and discuss it with. Jim even makes a guest appearance on the season 2 finale as Wesley Crusher!

aud the reEngage! So excited to have Bald Move cover the latest saga of Jean-Luc and the Star Trek universe. The first episode’s coverage was fun, insightful and just made you laugh...everything you come to expect when Jim and A. Ron cover a series they truly love and have passion for. My mother LOVED Captain Picard and made me a huge Star Trek fan. She passed away a few years ago, so watching this show and thinking about how much she would love it makes me very happy and nostalgic in the best ways. Can’t wait for more...make it so!
