The only pod you need it’s fire. The deep dives are so good they don’t rage or swear its a family friendly pod that isn’t cringe. This pod is funny, interesting, in depth and is so good that I listened to an unreasonably amount of episodes in my first week. So good you must listen if you like video games!!! I found this podcast in December 2024. I started from the beginning and working my way up to present day. I’m addicted to this podcast! As of right now I just got into 2023 podcasts and to be honest I’m going to be update when I’m all caught up because then I’m going to be waiting for new episodes and no longing going to be able to binge your show anymore. No other podcast has that effect on me and that’s the best compliment I can give. But thank you for being such an entertaining show to listen too can’t wait to hear more!

Some people need metal to motivate them up in the gym but all I need is the gravely voice of Josh saying “Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiits Ryan” to amp me up for another episode of gaming discussion while I lift. Bi’s and tri’s, indies and rpgs go hand and hand as far as I’m concerned. Video gamers podcast makes my morning gym sessions far more bearable and the guys really feel like someone I could easily be gaming buddies and get along with which is a great familiarity for the show. ‘Twas a time that this audio masterpiece (granted in its infancy) was known by a lesser name: the multiplayer gaming podcast, over the years the hosts have changed and the format ( rip TWIG) but it has grown 10 fold in listeners and quality. It is now the top podcast for games and (I’m pretty sure) most of the one star reviews are accidental, the hosts are Beautiful human beings and have one of the best communities ever in games it is truely amazing. I really like this podcast! I listen to every new episode and it definitely makes the 12 hour work day feel not as miserable! This podcast hits home because they talk about the classics that I grew up playing and honorably mentions the peak of gaming when midnight releases were the best feeling in the world and someone calling the house phone while playing with your friends online was the WORST feeling in the world. Other gaming podcast I have listened to like to get off subject and talk about things completely irrelevant but these guys stay on topic and have really good conversations about all things gaming! Hot Take: Lord of The Rings PS2 games were the best Co-Op games of all time and are ones that TRULY deserve a remaster.

After searching the harsh mojave wasteland and scrounging around the alleys of night city I finally found a podcast worth looking forward to on mondays!! I constantly eat radioactive lizard gizzards (ew yuck tastes like poison) because of my cyberpsychosis and the only thing that can get rid of it is listening to the podcast! I have found a lot of good games from this podcast, like ghost of Tsushima. Which is my second favorite game after Elden ring. The night sky obscured by a low layer of clouds, the wind bone chilling as it nears the mid teens in temperature. The open road lit only by the occasional street lamp. I start to get to sleepy, as I feel like I’m going to doze off, my ears are greeted by the invigorating and revitalizing voices of Josh and Ryan, the only sad part to my night now is when the episode is over and I must sit in a seat soaked in tears of sadness until the next episode. Their quips and jokes, and differing tastes in video games makes for a satisfying drive, while we still mourn our fallen soldier Paul, we also embrace the unrestrained shenanigans. Rest Easy at work Paul, not gone but also not forgotten .

I have been listening to the Video Gamers Podcast for a number of years now, dating back to the days of the Multiplayer Gaming Podcast. There honestly is no gaming podcast like this; the humility, genuineness, humor and perfect touch of nerdiness of Josh and Ryan are the perfect mix. Not only is the podcast incredibly enjoyable but is also family friendly (no worrying about cussing and grotesque language coming from these gents). Every time I see a new episode has dropped, I start thinking about how soon I can start listening. When Paul, the previous host, had to step down, I couldn’t imagine how difficult it was going to be to continue this as a two man operation. I can honestly say Josh and Ryan have done an OUTSTANDING job keeping the quality and genuine feel of this podcast going. Josh and Ryan, you should both be incredibly proud of what you have done with the Video Gamers Podcasts.

I downloaded Apple podcast just to leave this review since Spotify doesn’t allow reviews. Anyone reading this and wondering if they should give it a try should be warned, no other gaming podcast will ever feel as good as VGP. Not only are the guys fun and make it fell like we’re just all hanging out, but they’re super active on their discord and engage with the community constantly! You can check out their game leaderboard to know if your taste align with either of them, and even though Ryan is wrong in thinking RDR2 is better than GoW (#teamjosh), he still has interesting takes once in a while!
