    Too many quacks
This couple has some good information in their area of expertise, physical movement, but they check their science brains at the door when they give a platform to quacks with no scientific validity. Promoting the ideas of eugenicists like Weston A. Price—a man trained in the 1800s before many of the tenets of science were established—and marketers with a wonder product to sell that will cure cavities or nearsightedness makes me doubt their own intentions. I now question their ability or interest in vetting science when it interferes with their reach and profits. They are part of the wellness misinformation machine when they do this.

    Thank you!
I have found this podcast and amazing team at the right time for me! I am 35 and have lived with hip osteoarthritis for 17 years. I’m really hoping to get to a better place with this condition, so I can live a more comfortable and full life! I have already learned so much and I just started binge consuming a few days ago! Thanks for your help and expertise!

    Great podcast
It was an honor to be a guest on this podcast a while back. But I started back listening to podcasts recently and just have to say…I loved episode 327. Great information and NOT what you typically hear/see on social media. Thank you for this.

    Too Much Selling
I’m going to be brutally honest and I really hope you take my feedback into consideration. I want to continue listening to your podcast, but it drives me crazy how you both sneakily add in product placement or selling your online health platform. At times the podcast just feel like one long infomercial. For example, the podcast on muscle cramps felt like one long advertisement for the electrolyte product you use and are pushing to sell. I had to stop listening to that episode because I found it so irritating. I know you need to sell products, but I’d much rather you took commercial breaks during the podcast (This product is brought to you by…) than try to sneak it into the episode or base an episode around a product. The same goes for some of the guests you have on the show (like the doctor’s who made the vitamin). Sadly, it makes you both sound like salesman rather than physical therapist. I hope you consider making this change and just creating episodes based on helpful information (for example, top exercises for osteoporosis etc). Thank you for reading.

    Need more critical thinking
Jen and Dom are able to attract interesting guests. They are total cheerleaders and constantly affirm each other and their guests, sadly not adding any nuance or critical thinking. Hope they can deepen the conversation with more debate and discussion of the controversial sides of the topics they discuss.

    Top notch physical therapists
As a PM&R doctor I am a huge believer in the power of physical therapy. Dr Jen and Dr Dom are incredibly skilled in their practice and provide a wealth of free information through their Instagram pages and this podcast. Health and having an “optimal body” requires a multimodal approach, and they discuss many of those other factors here. This podcast is an incredible resource!

    Oh so helpful!
The quality and variety of information shared on this podcast is super helpful. The variety of guest interviews keeps it interesting too, though Jen and Dom are great by themselves! Their other accounts on IG and YT are totally worth following, too! I have learned so much invaluable information about exercising form and body mechanics.

    I’m a huge fan!
I stumbled across docjenfit as a new grad physical therapist. It helped shape my treatment approach with patients and also helped me understand my own body more—especially the importance and “how to” of engaging the core during all activities. This year I got my mom a yearly subscription from docjenfit and she is loving it! Definitely been recommending docjenfit on a variety of platforms including this podcast to patients, friends, and family!

Better queues than my actual PT therapist
As an athlete who has gotten chronic diagnoses, it was hard to go back to basics. Jen makes you feel good about starting over and helps you do it right so you’re not scared of getting hurt again. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on physical therapy but Jen goes deeper than the physical in her podcast and in her programs. Following her on all platforms has really helped me transform my life. I recommend to everyone!!

    Right on time!
I’ve been following Doc Jen on Instagram for a few years. I’ve recently had a baby and have had all these body aches pop up during pregnancy and postpartum that I swear Doc Jen and Dr. Dom have a spy camera in my house because they always have their podcast/videos on body pain I have recently. They’ve really helped me understand why these things happen and how to improve on my own. I have all of their recommendations in my treatment arsenal to keep my body moving to keep up with my little guy!

    Packed with information
I love learning something new about my body and my bodies potentials from this podcast. I was educated by the public school system growing up and I wish this is closer to what our physical education program would have looked like. Now that I’ve found this podcast (and her programs) I feel more comfortable and informed about my own body. It’s very empowering!

Definitely one of my top five podcasts
I am thrilled to write a five-star review for Dock, Jen, and the Optimal Body Podcast! From the very first episode, I was blown away by Jen's incredible knowledge and passion for helping people treat their bodies well. Her enthusiasm is infectious and I've learned so much from listening to her podcast. Jen's expertise in health and wellness is truly impressive, and she has a talent for explaining complex concepts in a way that is accessible and easy to understand. She covers a wide range of topics, from nutrition to exercise to mental health, and always provides practical tips and actionable advice that I can start implementing right away. One of the things I appreciate most about Jen is her emphasis on taking a holistic approach to health. She understands that our bodies are interconnected systems and that true wellness involves more than just eating right and exercising. Her insights into sleep, stress management, and self-care have been invaluable to me and have helped me make positive changes in my life. Overall, I cannot recommend the Optimal Body Podcast highly enough. Jen is a truly gifted communicator and her passion for helping people achieve optimal health is truly inspiring. If you're looking to learn more about treating your body well and living your best life, this podcast is a must-listen!

    Helpful educational & easy
I started following Dr Jen on Instagram after hurting my lower back. Her exercises have helped me understand my body and pain, and motivated me to continue working towards recovery. She & her husband are very optimistic, honest, and great instructors! You would not get this type of information or access from any other platform or place. Well worth the price.

    Great podcast
I feel like I owe Jen and Dom everything. A herniated disc left me dealing with chronic pain for years with no end in sight. I tried everything and saw 3 different physical therapists with no improvement. Then I started listening to this podcast, as well as following Jen on Instagram and doing her Mobility Method course and the Optimal Body program, and everything changed. It turns out what I needed was the education to take my healing into my own hands, and that’s exactly what this podcast teaches. I haven’t found anything else offering this level of care. I’m now pain free and more active than ever. Highly recommend this podcast to anyone wanting to learn more about their body!

Set yourself up for good health
The optimal body podcasts are short and sweet, no crazy long rants that lose their theme. It’s like listening to friends chat and give you advice, but these friends are qualified and have studied the body. The tips are simple and doable. I also love that they bring in experts from different fields to complete the knowledge and get answers for themselves too.

    Daily Ritual
This podcast is a daily must for me! The simplification and practicality of each episode is gold. Jen and Dom do a great job of explaining the ‘why’ behind things; looking into recent research and challenging ideas of the past around health and rehab is the selling feature of each episode - love it!
  • BrSchur
    One of my fav’s!
Optimal body podcast has been incredibly helpful in understanding the cause of my lingering low back aches/pains and how to improve my mobility, flexibility and strength. In fact, it’s my “go to” podcast while walking my dog, Otis.

    Saving My Life
This podcast is really saving me in more ways than one. I was getting really discouraged and depressed because I’m only 33 and I’ve got wrist, knee, hip and sometimes back and shoulder pain often. I’ve been on and off (mostly off) with working out because of pain and feeling like I couldn’t trust my body anymore but after listening to a few episodes, I feel like I can be pain free someday soon or at least know how to address the pain. Thank you for the work you’re doing!

I love these two humans! This podcast and the movement challenge have changed my life and the way I deal with chronic pain! I’m able to push myself a little bit more every day and have gained more knee and hip stability which allows me to jog again and not be petrified of movement. I’ve followed Dr. Jen on Instagram for some time now and all of her content is such high quality. I have listened to majority of the podcasts her and Dr. Dom publish and learn something new every time. Their content gives me a different perspective on movement, pain and so many other health topics. I’m constantly referring others to listen to their podcasts.

    Thank you
I appreciate you and your husband going into details of your miscarriage and advocating for yourselves in the health care system. Most of us don't even know that's an option, so thank you for shedding light in that area. So so sorry for your loss.

    Thank you!!!
I just want to say thank you for the info you put out in your podcast. I have been dealing with an injury for over a year now, but since I’ve started listening you guys gave me a new perspective on how to approach it. I was someone searching for that diagnosis because I just wanted to figure out what was wrong, but you’ve taught me to stop waiting for that one thing and focus on what feels good for me. I’ve seen multiple PTs and chiropractors but listening to your podcast has helped me so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    Happy 100 episodes!
I discovered your podcast just a week ago after seeing a YouTube ad for your mobility program. What you said in that video resonated so much with me and has been exactly what I’ve been looking for. In researching the program and deciding if I should buy it I discovered your podcast. I’ve always considered myself fairly knowledgeable about my fitness, I guess the older I get and the more aches and pains I get the more I feel maybe I don’t know as much as I thought. I have so enjoyed and learned so much from your podcast during this past week. I appreciate you guys and what your doing. Honestly I really needed to find this podcast this week, it has so helped me and has literally made me cry with some of the realizations it’s given me. The ones on the mental side of it and the brain especially, and of course the mobility which I am so lacking in. THANK YOU
  • DPTRocks
    Congrats on 100 episodes!
Jen & Dom provide quality physical therapy education to practicing clinicians, students and the general public. They break down complex musculoskeletal topics and put it into language that anyone can understand. As a clinician, Jen & Dom have given me countless tips for how I can educate my own patients and I couldn’t be more grateful! Definitely give them a listen!

    100th Episode Love
Great questions, great responses! Chronic pain and strange, painful body changes and the need to pursue more intentional movement for my body led me to Doc Jen and Dr Dom and the Optimal Body and by extension, the Optimal Body Podcast. Love work of Drs. Jen and Dom! Love how you address the whole person. SO IMPORTANT! Your response to the chronic pain question is how I transitioned more quickly into a more positive, productive place after having RA and OA hit hard. And that precious pearl regarding touch and breath - I use this ALL THE TIME! It is something I discovered on my own during my journey rather than something taught, so imagine my delight to find it is a recognized "thing". Sometimes all I have to do is lay a hand on the spot, with or without breath, and it calms. Breath can do SO MUCH! Thank you for addressing question 2 about soreness vs pain. There are SO MANY kinds of pain and learning what each feels likee, what each means, and how to best address in your body can be so empowering. Thanks for all you do!

    100th episode
Congratulations!!! I listen to your podcasts before I go to work, when I’m driving or just when I’m doing stuff around the house. I love the topics you discuss and the guests that you have on. I always find something that resonates with me. It’s like an ah ha moment. I first was introduced to you through Natalie Jill Fit for hip mobility and use that stretch often. Thank you for all you do to help the community. I look forward to many more podcasts! Stacy Ebert
