I’m 14 and Rian just came to our fair last year to judge. I was amazed at how amazing he really was in person. I’ve been watching all his videos and I’ve been a fan for a long time so when I heard he had a podcast I about screamed! He’s such an amazing person and he does such great things for us kids. Listening to the podcast is so educational, funny, exciting , and im so great full I had a chance to show in front of him. It’s so great to hear a judge’s perspective on showing in the ring, and he’s has some amazing tips and tricks. I’ve been showing for 7 years now so I’ve shown infront of a lot of people and Rian was my favorite. Thank you so much for helping us kids! ♥️

I started listening to this show when my kids were showing. I enjoy the show and now that they’ve graduated, I mainly listen to the political conventions at the start at the show. I love the different points of views. I do find it odd, that as a Trump supporter, Ryan is surprised he’s discriminated against for being gay. More will come over the next four years. You can’t have one and not the other. Best of luck.

I discovered this podcast from my BF. I love the balance and banter of masculinity to totally femininity between the two of them! I don’t get into showing livestock, but have learned a lot about animals that can actually help in ways with household pets or livestock. I also get a big kick out of their conservative political discussions and loved when they had a phone interview with the “Tiger King” himself! Impressive and unique! They are hilarious, talented and silly. That seems to create a great balance to keep me coming back occasionally. Looking forward to the next episode! Keep it up Dale and Ryan!!! Dale’s grounded and Ryan is hysterical with nuisance and flair.

Ryan came to Bedford , Indiana to judge several species. He ran through our market beef show, 41 head, in less than 45 minutes. Our swine show normally lasts 4-5 hours. He was done with the gilts and barrows in 2 hours!! Some kids on had 2-3 minutes in the ring. Ryan could not get tHem in and out fast enough. For senior showmanship , he told them to just open the gates and enter….it was like dam. broke. These kids worked so hard and Ryan didn’t give them a shot or time in any class. Parents were unsure of the kid’s placings because he didn’t pen. He pointed and used his hand to say the placings. It was heart breaking for a 4h show. He was so impatient with the kids and wanted to get out of the barn ASAP. It was so obvious … he stood tapping his foot. He spoke about making the kids feel good as they leave the ring and he did not to this. Our kids were so excited to have him but we’re so disappointed in they way he treated them. I was excited to get him to our county because our kids were going to have a great and encouraging experience. Our beef committee asked him to slow down for our beef show, after the market show. It really ticked him off!!! But, he did slow it down. He was not the judge that was at Monroe County in Bloomington, IN in 2022. We have been showing for many years. We have shown cattle nationally and no the ropes. I’m not complaining about placings!! He knows livestock! He likes what he likes and it’s one person’s opinion. But these kids deserved more! The kids deserved time!!!

I was excited to see a podcast about showing livestock, talk about a niche topic! At the first episode I tried, I stopped listening at minute 7 of solid right-wing ranting, conspiracy theory (quite literally Covid-19 was “released intentionally” by China to throw the US into political and economic turmoil)… I had to double check that I hadn’t accidentally clicked on the wrong podcast! No heads up, no show notes warning that it was going to be political, I might still have tried it if I could skip all the vitriol that I’m assaulted with on a daily basis everywhere I turn. I’m certainly not going to choose that when I am looking to entertain and escape during chores or a commute. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I came here to listen to a podcast about showing livestock. But I can’t get through the first few minutes of any episode. Not every person in livestock wants to listen to a rant about how terrible Biden is. It would be great if they could focus on the topic listed and skip the political bashing.

I have shown to Ryan and he is awesome. This is the only podcast I’ve found that is about showing life stock that I actually like. Ryan and Dale make me laugh every day( I listen to the episode over and over again) I absolutely love this podcast! As a 15 year old pig showman, my parents can definitely say I have become a better showman since I’ve started listening to this! I recommend it to all showman!!!

This is a good livestock podcast. I don’t care for the current events in the beginning. If I wanted to watch the news I’d turn on my tv. Dale has a problem of not listening to what’s said but I’m glad Ryan calls him out on it. Ryan’s awesome and has no problem telling anyone how they feel. Dale might need to take more time to prepare for certain topics because he doesn’t add to much.

I was wondering if you could address in the unethical episode that this past weekend at a jackpot show in Texas I saw a showman win grand champion York and walk to the wash rack and wash white paint off of the that “York” and walk into a cross class with the same pig and get 2nd out of 10. As a showman who was showing at that show it was very upsetting.

I was originally introduced to this by my mom on the way to a show. thought it was good won breed then the day was dusted. Then I got hooked when I went to the river with my friend and his parents played this in the car. My personal opinion as a 12 year old showmen there is not enough livestock media but this is a great step in the right direction for that 10/10

I love how the guys look at topics like current events and in the show ring. All the other livestock and show animal podcasts like to not look at it with honesty. Love the show keep up the good work.

Focus on the things that your audience wants not the things that are happening in the world. Stay in your lane and focus on being a subject matter expert on livestock not a social commentary.

My knowledge of livestock showing is limited to a county fair, one jackpot show and being a livestock leader in 4-H and FFA. I have learned so much listening to Dale and Ryan. I also really enjoy the banter between Dale and Ryan and always enjoy their commentary on local events. I would love to watch them sort a show some day. Thanks for keeping my Fridays entertaining while I work.

Dale, Ryan, I listen to a lot of podcasts and find yours to be my new favorite. You should be very proud of what to are providing the industry.

I’ve attempted to listen to three episodes... because I am VERY excited to have another show industry podcast to listen to... but each time, after 10++ minutes of political commentary, I find myself moving on to something else. While I do not align myself with their obviously conveyed political opinions, they seem like entertaining people and I’m sure they have a wealth of show-industry knowledge that I could learn from. Maybe I just need to make better use of the skip forward button and get the material that I came here for...

So educational and entertaining!
