    Thank you
I’ve never been more proud of anything I’ve done in my life. Thank you for having me on your podcast. Thank you for this channel for survivors of CEDU to slowly wake up and find each other. #iseeyousurvivor #iseeyouCEDUsurvivors

    Love this show
Very glad I started listening to this podcast, Kacey is a wonderful host. She asks all the questions I find myself wanting to ask so it feels like I’m in on the conversation. This is a wonderful show. Keep it ip!

    People of Praise
I was raised in this miserable weird cult. At 59 years old, I can tell you almost all of the kids that grew up in this cult like myself are estranged from their parents, don’t go to any church or don’t speak to their siblings. POP used to be called “servants of the Lord” but they’ve scraped a lot of history from their webpage when the Amy Coney Barrett thing leaked but I was able to get a screenshot before that happened. I was interviewed by Stephen Hassan the cult expert which you can find on his website.

    Trash
Learn to fact check. So many lies in the episode that I’ve shared and my first hand stories in such deceitful ways. Not okay. Glad you got a story but as the sister of Madison Ryan she only tells lies. Our mother was never an addict. Shes tried so hard for Madison but she only wants attention. Madison has ruined every opportunity. Good job with that microphone 👏

An in-depth look at cults with a discerning, pleasant host
I’m so glad Season 2 has finally arrived! I listened to all of Season 1, and, despite the host/speaker’s humble assessment, I found her interviews and guests captivating…That said, Season 2 is even stronger, and her graduate study into cults surely yielded a lot of new insights and knowledge - a good thing for us listeners! Note: I love the low-key, yet high quality, production. No kitschy sound effects or booming “look at these weirdos” distant anthropology. People in cults are not, in general, low IQ dopes. There are people from all walks of life who can be enticed into them. And they can range from sprawling corporate-cults, to neighborhood clubs , to religious groups. And, I’d add, here in the US, political parties - cough, cough - maga/trumpism. All in all, a fascinating podcast, worth subscribing to and listening to.

    Compassion & Concern
The easy listening of this podcast sneaks up on you as the content is so educational through a very compassionate host. She asks the questions we would be having if we had the opportunities to have a cup of coffee or cup of tea with the amazing guests- that she continues to have on this podcast. Going back & listening to as many as I can now any chance I get.

    All
I enjoyed the podcast until she gets political. She doesn’t have a clue what she’s talking about and is completely “woke”. Which I find ironic because being “ woke” is totally cultish.

I’d love to actually hear the guests speak!
1 star for the interesting topics. 1 star for the quality of the guests. -1 star for the insane amount of times the host continually speaks over and cuts off the guest. -1 star for the amount of times the host repeats what the first said and then monologues off on insanely long tangents. -1 star for the frustration the host caused by making the listener listen to her at least 70% of the time vs hearing what the guest has to say. I really want to like this podcast. The host is really sabotaging her own show. Let the guests and the topics be heard. WE WANT TO HEAR THE PROSPECTIVE AND EXPERIENCES OF THE GUESTS!!!

    Fantastic
I just found this pod and listened to the John Verner series. This is so good and love the discussion and (in the US) nice to find one overseas for a bot further reaching guests and topics

    Awesome interviews
Love the content, variety of topics is wide ranging, covering cults that I’ve never encountered on other podcasts. Looking forward to casts on conspiracy theories as well (obviously I’m well behind lol, just started listening in 2023!). Have run through from the beginning through binge listening which isn’t my usual style. My only complaint is in editing, in that there seems to be some editing errors - repeat phrases and sentences, sometimes the same info (sometimes with slightly different wording) two or three times consecutively. Can be distracting, and honestly a bit annoying. It’s only shown up in a few episodes just recently, so hopefully it’s only a temporary problem. If it goes away, I’ll gladly change my rating to 5 stars!!!!

    The audio
Very good show but a lot of the episodes Only come through one ear and I listen at my noisy job. Fix that please. Continue on

    Very good show
I had an experience with a milder form of cult that took me a long time to process and recover from. Literally had to re-evaluate all of my views, opinions and even my personality to determine what I actually thought and felt, and who I was. This show had helped me understand that my experience was not that different from what others have gone through, and also that I was fortunate that I had people outside the community I left to help me get back to reality. I appreciate this show for its compassionate approach to the survivors.

Good show, well researched and host seems kind and empathetic.

    Cult Awareness is so important!
Excellent content! I’m the author of the new release graphic novel CULT GIRLS (on Amazon & Barnes) by Natalie Grand. It’s a light hearted comedy, based on a true story of 4 women born, raised in the Jehovah’s Witness cult. If you are looking for an anti-cult activist special guest my Twitter is Natalie Grand.

    Thank you!
I just wanted to take a moment to post a few words of gratitude for this podcast and the host. While a lot of podcasts are good and some are taking action, I really appreciate the amount of time Kacey (Kasey? Sorry!) spends with the guests and uses her platform to get their history out to the world and also donates a percentage of her patreon contributions. If I can get by act together and get on patreon I’ll be donating. Thanks again!

I want to like this podcast
This show has promise. The host could be good, and the show could be great. But she does not let her guests talk. For example, at the end of episode 140, she asks what advice the guest would give people trying to get out of his old religious group. She lets him talk for a bit. Then she host-splains back his answer to him in a 3 minute monologue that goes in a totally different direction. The best part is when, after she has talked for literally minutes, she says “I think that’s some really great advice you’ve just given.” The show also needs more editing. No podcast episode needs to be over two hours long. They could save a lot of time just by cutting a lot of the host’s mental meanderings. I’m not trying to be mean. I actually hope she sees this and tries to modify her interview style. She has promise and she gets good guests. I’ve really enjoyed the episodes about the troubled teen industry. Those are some of the best interviews! But she needs to listen more, talk less, and edit more.
  • Bigg Salad
Cool concept. Wish the host would let the guests talk
I really don’t understand why she even attempts to bring someone else on because she mostly just rambles her opinions. It would be cool to hear more from the interesting people she brings on the show
  • Tish Cook
    One of my favorites
The in depth personal stories really make this podcast shine. Having multiple people sharing different experiences really let’s the listener absorb how cults affect and engage people from all walks of life. The host also shows great patience and understanding for her guests, never making them feel self conscious about the choices they have made in their lives.
  • rodcast700
    Host is too chatty
The host gets great guests and has in depth conversations that give fascinating insight into the experiences of survivors of high-demand groups. However she goes into long monologues about her own experiences or wordy reflections that essentially repeat what the guest just said. This makes for very fragmented conversations that meander and are ultimately hard to listen to. I understand if this is to gain repoir with the guest but The host should edit these shows in a way that the guest and their story is the main focus. She should also work in her interview style do that she listens more and talks less. In the stories Im interested in I actually have to fast forward the host just to get to the content of the interview. I have heard guests that seemed eager to talk but get worn down by the end.

    Love this podcast style
I love that each story differs and the host takes the time to have a conversation deeper than just basics

    Solid and Satisfying
Love x 3 the “Manhattan Cult Story” interview, and I already pre-ordered the book (something I’ve never done before). The urban nature of it, the encouragement of keeping unwanted pregnancies, and the philosophies all intrigued me…and how it moved from SF to NYC, morphing cleverly. It feels like something, without the control aspects, I would like to be part of. In general in this podcast I like the interview questions and the long-form format, allowing an in-depth expression from the insightful and intelligent guests. The host is also sensitive, but never patronizing. Definitely check it out and decide for yourself…. ;)

    Fantastic Interviews
Learned about Cult Vault because Kacey made a post on our subreddit (exiglesianicristo) looking to interview users their experience in said cult. Few weeks later, the Iglesias Ni Cristo episodes comes out and I absolutely enjoyed listening to each episode! Kacey is such a professional host! Looking forward to future episodes!

In-depth gossip in lieu of research
Disappointing lack of curiosity and fundamental interest in research.
  • VictoriaPandora
    Very informative also fun!
2020 played out a lot like that series ‘The Leftovers’, and that’s when I started looking for active cults. Since we were locked down I knew all the action was probably online. I was not disappointed. I’m trying to figure out of just WHICH of those ‘leftover’ cult leader archetypes OWEN BENJAMIN is. That’s how I found this most EXCELLENT podcast!! Great work!

    Interesting content
I’ve listened to several podcasts. The content is interesting. But in one episode I was looking up the topic on Wiki while I listened, and she was reading directly from the Wiki page. In the interviews, I also would prefer to have the podcaster ask questions and let the guest talk. In the Monarch episode, for example, I wanted to hear more of the guest’s actual experiences rather than the podcasters thoughts. I feel that the story didn’t flow because the guest kept getting interrupted by the podcaster’s views.

    A dive into Human Psychology
One of the most powerful human forces is belief. And it can be and is often misplaced. Especially as our world dives into identity issues and hyper politicization it’s more important and more interesting than ever to take a look at “cult” behavior. How does it happen and how do people get out? Cult vault puts the stories out there. Keep it up!

    Unheard Utah
I would love the opportunity to share my story and the story of others of who went through “lifeline, inc” aka “lifeline for youth”; a STRAIGHT INC/KIDS program in Utah. Thank you for shedding light on the TTI.

    Loving this!
I love the interviews with cult survivors! Absolutely fascinating. Kacey is an informed interviewer and this keeps getting better. Excited to see where it goes.

    I’m a CEDU survivor
I really appreciate listening to Kasey ask the right questions. She comes from a place of curiosity but her compassion and empathy towards us who attended is what really struck me. She is safe. She is someone who is going to help us heal. This isn’t just a podcast for her, she seems to genuinely care about the victims and wants to help us heal and prevent others from having that same fate. As well as EXPOSE THE TRUTH And the amount of research that she puts into her podcasts, THE TRUTH is what you’re going to get. Subscribe and have your mind blown. Keep going Kasey!! You’re on a roll!!

    Awesome!
I love this podcast! It’s well thought out with a lot of research and facts presented. I like how Kacey interviews members/former members/love ones of various cults. I always look forward to new episodes!

    Casey is great!
She asks all the questions you want answers to. Great research and interviews. One of my favorites!
  • Guemes
    Excellent
There are some freaky people in the world. Then they join cults. This is a podcast that allows you in the door then let's you leave again. Unlike those who actually join cults. This podcast is detailed, well researched, and solidifies your resolve to stay the hell away from joining any cult.
