jpitt32Great PodcastVery Enjoyable!
-
heh3dAmazing showA mix of genres and guests, consistently likable hosts, a really fun hang. Come for the cheesy 80s dad movies, stay for the razor sharp analysis and AAA guests.
-
Corey SilvaCoen Brothers fan hereIf you guys like Coen Brothers movies, then you’ll love the Fargo series on FX. There’s inspirations from all Coen movies weaved into the series along with the actors who have worked with the Coens previously. It’s top notch television.

JakeVanksCool People Talking Nerd StuffThere is no shortage of movie podcasts out there. The thing that makes the Dune Pod stand out is that the hosts and guests are the kind of people you want to hang out with. Like, if I met them in high school I would have spent all lunch hour needing out with them. Here’s the thing though - they actually seem cool. Not, like, pop-collared and varsity jacket cool. Cool as in they are super earnest and kind while they talk about movies and what not.

Keylor107Not Woke EnoughGreat pod. Inject all the woke politics like 💉💪.
-
horgarCould be great butSo frustrating. They have good quality and ideas but their constant need to score virtue points by pointing out topics from a 55 year old book. We get it, you think you’re woke. The League of their Own episode was essentially woke vomit spewing out of my speakers demanding that I examine past periods in the light of todays wholeness. Makes everyone seem worse and gives no room for different time periods.

taxila14The most perfect bunch of Dune fansFound the podcast while doing a Villeneuve binge and had a hallelujah moment after listening to the Dune premiere & the Lynch version podcasts. I found my people! Always outstanding guests. Recently played the Dune premiere episode for my son & his reaction was please tell me there’s 5 more hours of this! Hope these gentleman never stop podcasting.

Ukulele broMagnifiqueLove, love, love this podcast! Looking forward to all of the movies that they’re covering this fall. Keep up the great work, Haitch and Jason!
-
ScottBurkPhotoI can think for myself, thanks.Thought I’d give this a listen, and literally three minutes into the episode they launched in to a political rant. No thanks, I don’t need you to tell me who to support and who to donate to…

RetailwageslaveDuneuniverible AppealTurn in for the sand worms, stay for the rad films.

FenUHow did I miss thisAs a lifelong Dune fan I don’t know how I missed this podcast for this long. Great hosts, great content, and a little bit of spice in every ep. You don’t have to be a Dune fan to listen and enjoy.
-
circumlocutorValue addedInspired by the prospect (and subsequent realization) of Dune 2020(/1), pandemic reality demanded that this podcast rise above its already lofty subject matter. The production quality is without peer, but the dynamic of the hosts (& guests) is what created a truly intimate community experience.

lamottskidaleeboomboomEntertainingThe deep dive into Dune is the theme for this cast. Grateful that I can listen to these Bros and not have to read all 80 books in the series. I actually prefer the reviews of other movies. It inspires me to revisit older films. The one draw back is that the movie research is not always thorough. One bro complained the Ben Kingsley was a white guy playing Grandi. In fact Ben’s father is from Gujarat. So was Gahndi. But a fun listen in spite of its few problems.

BlueNoteJrGreat Pod!Late to Dune, but longtime cinephile. Love listening to these guys.
-
AndyinColorFor Dune and so, so much moreAmazing podcast from Haitch and Jason, DunePod has become one of my favorite podcasts about film. The episodes are about more than just the new Dune films, they dive into the back catalogue of sci-fi classics and B-movie greats. Make sure you add it into the rotation.

HoustonFoxDunePod is……more than just a show about books and movies related to the Denis Villeneuve masterpiece. Oh, I’ll stop there as I’ll just butcher how Haitch does it. This has got to be one of my favourite pods. I stumbled across it thanks to my friend who told me “you gotta listen to this pod in prep for the upcoming Dune movie, they talk about the books and then some other stuff and it was really insightful”. So I gave it a listen and it was fun, witty and insightful especially as I was re-reading the book at the time, and they called out things I missed. So, the book got me in but then the premise of all the movies linked to the 2021 film got me hooked. Navigating the cinematic and cultural journey to Dune via the films of the cast and crew was a nice twist but after a while, it became more than just a theme, it seemed like you were part of a likeminded group who talked about the things you talk about with your friends - even to the point where I join in the conversation out loud while walking the dog! I found out they had a Discord, so checked it out and boy is that fun too (check the show notes). Haitch and Jason are really active in the chats and the community is warm, inclusive and funny as heck! There are movie nights, threads about pets and kids and just general chat across the board. If you like the source material, then you’ll love this pod. If you like movies in general, there’ll be something for you here too. This is more than a podcast…this is. Dunepod.

Derrat68One of the best!Absolutely one of my favorites! In depth interesting conversations about a plethora of films. The hosts are awesome. Both are extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The guest hosts are impressive. I look forward to each episode. Even when the movie they’re reviewing isn’t my cup o’ tea, it’s still a great time. Can’t say enough. Big ups!
-
Quixote1547So much more than DuneIncredible hosts, who have an unabashed love for great movies, especially Science Fiction and most importantly Dune! I’m a Dune nerd through and through and these guys talk about everything surrounding it with insight and joy

MattyCabieLiterally my perfect podHaitch and Jason (and of course the man, Corey) are honestly amazing at what they do. My interest began when I found out Denis Villeneuve was making Dune 2021, so I wanted more background on the series, as I was only somewhat aware of it. This podcast opened the door for that and so much more. The quality of content on this show is kind of ridiculous to me. Extremely well informed and connected hosts & guests, great interviews with people associated with Dune 2021 and its extended universe, and a Tilda Swinton reference on every episode! This is legitimately my favorite podcast.

@kcopenMore then just DuneI’ve been just deep into film podcasts lately as I try and ween myself off of the nightmare of social media and news and I found this one through the X-Ray Vision podcast. I was hyped for it as I was super excited about the new Dune and am a Dune fan in general but really got into the format of how they deep-dived into films that are tangentially related to the upcoming Dune in a way that was smart and funny. I particularly vibe with Haitch as he has a real passion for these type of movies. I love the Excaliber episode where he passionately tries to sell it as a great movie that he loves and Jason and the guest host were just like nah this was terrible lol (I love Excaliber too Haitch!). Anyway these guys are cool, they talk about cool movies, you should check it out.
-
ghj1511The BEST!I listen to few podcasts but yours is on my must-list weekly. Loved all the pre-Dune pods and now am digging your blow by blows on classically culty and amazing movies. Thanks and keep it coming.

Loganh24Recently discovered Dune Pod, instantly became one of my favoritesAfter trying to dive into the Dune world many times throughout my life, I was ready to take the plunge with Denis latest masterpiece, so I went searching for supplemental content. Randomly stumbled upon this pod from a fellow SF based podcaster and I feel I can definitively say: Dune Pod is the perfect Dune compendium content for a newbie like me. I am now halfway through the first novel (despite already listening to all the Dune book pods), and cannot wait to dive further into the lore. Also love the spider-web you weave branching out and exploring all the Dune 2021 actors breakout hits/other film reviews of Denis work and other films that share themes
-
FlipZillaKongWithout further aDuuuuuune…Loving this podcast, I found them through Jason Concepcion’s X-Ray Vision podcast and found it hilarious that these guys started a podcast about the new Dune movie and ended up having to fill dead air for over year since the pandemic delayed the movie release. But they have such a great way or reviewing films related to Dune/the cast/director that it just became a podcast I loved to listen to since they love movies. Love you guys and the Corey voicemails…what a legend.

ABR0281elloLove the Dune Pod guysI recently discovered this pod with all the excitement of the movie coming out, and I’m loving going through all the episodes. Great analysis of the Dune books and I’ve loved exploring all the other movies from the cast/crew of Dune 2021. The “who would Tilda Swinton play?” bit is amazing too 😂
-
KryptonSeanPod Emperors of DuneJason and Haitch are entertaining hosts that cover not only the books and Dune movies, but a wide array of films from the creatives and actors behind the new film, as well as a wide array of films that have influenced the genre. A great podcast for fans of the franchise and film in general. They also have a really interesting array of guests, both of industry professionals, and fans of film in general.

slim edwardNot only for superfansReally great podcast for any film fan, even though the focus is on Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and sci-fi movies generally. Especially great for newcomers who want to learn more about Dune after seeing the movie. Not like the usual fancast. There is still plenty of Dune content. But they’ve picked a great selection of other movies with a focus on the talented creators. Fun, casual discussion with great guests to help you appreciate some of your favorite movies even more.

LiagsLifelineThis podcast has been one of the sustaining forces through the pandemic. I have been a Dune fan since I was a teen, many moons ago. I appreciate the insight and camaraderie of the hosts and am glad to be a part of the community. -Hex

agilbert!Vibe check!Dune Pod is…. a vibe, a community, an awesome guide through some incredible movies and books that will enhance the experience of your favorites and turn you onto new things that you will love. What a joy it was to discover this show leading up to the release of Dune 2021. Can’t wait for the journey to Part 2!
-
MdscruggsA must-listen for any Dune or scifi nerdThese guys are super easy to listen to and cover a lot of content about Dune books and related sci-fi/nerdy content with aplomb. Started from episode 1 and will be here until the spicy agony catches up with me!
-
carljvGreat for both Dune fanatics and the Dune curiousIf you have no interested in Dune, this is just a super fun and smart movie podcast. If you’re a little curious about Dune, you can listen to old episodes and learn more about the books and lore without getting dropped in the deep end. If you’re a Dune expert, these guys know their stuff and understand the work really deeply. Real smart, real funny. Something for everyone.
-
stil-gwarAwesome movie podNot just Dune but everything Dune
-
groogrux’dibWould you like to know more?Nobody does it better Makes me feel the sand like the rest Nobody does it half as good as you two, Jason and H!! Boys, you and Frank are the best
-
mrphilrothInsightful and FunnyI came to this podcast via a random Tweet and I’ve stayed for the insightful discussion of the themes behind Haitch and Jason’s favorite movies. I especially like the “tech adjacent but willing to criticize tech” vibe they have going on some sci-fi films. And the “Who would Tilda Swinton play?” segment. That’s actually what got me to stay. Tilda Swinton.
-
siggy_sfBest podcastThis is currently my absolute favorite podcast. If you like Dune, or sci-fi, or movies, or all of the above, I highly recommend it. Haitch and Jason are awesome hosts that bring insight and humor to all things Dune.
-
selfeeBest Dune podcast with outstanding film and culture bonus content. This podcast added so much to my enjoyment of Villeneuve’s 2021 Dune that I literally can’t put into words. But what’s more, they’ve helped me better understand the Herbert novels, unlocked many secrets of David Lynch’s oeuvre, and pointed me to a score of other great films to enjoy. Subscribe! You will like!

macorchardDune and BeyondThis is an awesome podcast that covers all things Dune (movies, books, etc.), and also other movies tangentially related to Dune. The discussions are good, the hosts and guests are great, and the community around the podcast is top notch.

MRichard914The Julius Randle of PodcastsThis is the Julius Randle of podcasts. At first you think on its face that it’s a one dimensional pod: boards and a few buckets here and there (I.e. a podcast solely based around the Dune franchise). But look closer. He can pass (amazing rotation of guests)? And make shots at an elite clip from the arc (amazing pop culture references)? Wait now Thibodeau is running the entire offense through him (impeccable chemistry between hosts Jason and Haitch)? And *checks notes* OH MY GOD THE KNICKS ARE ON A 9 GAME WINNING STREAK (Cory’s voicemails). Point is, this podcast isn't really about Dune. It takes a 7-degrees-from-Kevin-Bacon-But-Make-It-Spice approach, using anything remotely in Dune’s cultural orbit grounds for discussion. Dune Pod celebrates content that’s come to define 21st century culture from the perspective of some truly unique folks (with similarly unique backgrounds in tech, media, and the arts) while never taking itself too seriously. Just like how I enjoy Julius Randle throw down the rock even though I’m not a Knicks fan (Go Celtics), I enjoy listening to this pod every Monday even though I’ve never read Dune (the books sitting on my coffee table, I promise I’ll get to it). Give it a listen, you won’t regret it.
-
SethFourTenA podcast as rare as The Spice itselfOn the surface this podcast has a shockingly narrow focus, the (as of 4/21) unreleased theatrical adaptation of the classic novel Dune, but is instead a wide ranging exploration of all types of visual media in the book’s and the upcoming film’s universe. What you’ll find by listening is mostly a library of films of all genres discussed in a balanced and breezy-but-not-shallow fashion by entertaining hosts and unusual guests. Pick out a movie that you know from their episode list and give it a try.
-
nasty pelosiDuneLoves these guys wish they would dune me
-
Charlie444333222111WonderfulThe gold standard for Dune podcasts that aren’t really about Dune.
-
