Braque12The very best for comprehensible input in ItalianIrene speaks slowly, warmly, and puts things in a variety ways, which means that you get an explanation of words and phrases but importantly have a chance to keep up with her discussion.

ChristaaaaahThis podcast is the bestI was so happy to discover this podcast. I’ve listened to every episode. Irene is extremely helpful; she speaks clearly and slowly, with warmth and care. Her extensive knowledge of linguistics makes her uniquely qualified to guide new language learners. Honestly, my Italian comprehension was mediocre when I started listening— but after 100 episodes, the improvement has been drastic. It’s been the easiest way for me to take my Italian to the next level. And now, even when I listen to Italian spoken in real life at a regular speed, my comprehension is better thanks to this podcast. I love how Irene doesn’t switch back and forth between languages— she explains new vocabulary words IN Italian. I cannot recommend highly enough!

rbsc23ExcellentI’ve only been learning for two months so I don’t understand a whole lot of this, but it is at a perfect level to push me to learn more without being too difficult. Would love to have the transcripts available on the website. Otherwise, this is just perfect.

Jjd73Perfect for listening comprehensionI’ve been trying to teach myself Italian for about 8 months. Listening to podcasts is one of my main tools to improve my listening skills. I’ve listened to many podcasts in Italian but this one seems to find the right balance between not being too challenging but not too easy. It’s perfect for my level. She talks about a range of subjects, pronunciation is very clear and she’s quite likable.

redjmarieFills a MUCH NEEDED NICHE for learning Italian!I have been on the Italian language learning journey since 2015. I’ve tried many things and have learned many lessons about the best way to learn a language. The most painful for the new learner might be listening comprehension- listening is incredibly important but there are actually very few TRUE slow Italian products. this creator does a phenomenal job at using a multitude of verb tenses and many different verbs that are used daily, and manages to remember to keep her inflection, emphasis, and the slow speed of her speech completely even. it’s an absolute game changer for gaining confidence. I salute you, Irene! This is a phenomenal product- thank you!!! ❤️

vikingz2000WonderfulThe podcaster's voice maikes understanding what she is saying in Italian really clear and pleasant to listen to. It's not 'dummied down' language, either, but I would say it's at an advanced beginner to intermediate level. I wish I could access a script of what she is saying. I think that would be helpful as well. Also, does she have a website and offer 'classes' of some sort?
