I was mowing the lawn one day a couple years ago and thinking how I wish I had someone to talk with about the Guards game the day before. I searched for new pods that day and found this one and felt jazzed and psyched and amped and I have listened to every episode since then!

Glad I discovered this pod. Great way to start my day reviewing the game from the day before. He has a great speaking voice, is interesting, and engaging. I am astounded how quickly he gets a podcast turned around.

Of the 4 Guardians podcasts, this is definitely my favorite. Host Davey Berris is articulate, concise, and he focuses on the individual games. Like Noga & Hoynes, there is a new episode for each game. But Davey is more knowledgable and has more content per minute than N&H, who often sound like they’re clocking in and not all that passionate about what happened on the field. Davey likes looking under the hood and understanding the subtleties that I often miss. I always learn something from each episode or see things from a different perspective. I’ve decided I don’t much like the 216 Baseball podcast with Alex & Paul; it’s a weekly, and they ramble on and on - a lot of filler with few nuggets. The Rosey Report is nice if you like interviews with players, but they’re short weekly episodes without much content. Davey always scratches my Gaurdians itch. Skip Young

I love this show!! It’s as Cleveland as: Public Square, Big Chuck and Lil’ John, Pink Flamingos yard ornaments, Joe Tait, and brown (not yellow) hotdog mustard. David is personable and knows his Cleveland Baseball. He’s locked like a laser onto ‘the actual game on the field.’ He knows the websites to get the non-baby boomer stats and discusses them with clarity and alacrity. He knows his players and Cleveland Sports History. Give us more content Varis—create Cleveland Football Monday Mornings and Cavaliers Basketball Mornings. I assure you this relocated Clevelander will be listening.

Truly all fans who follow the Indians need to subscribe to this podcast. Ferris clearly loves the Indians & has incredible depth of knowledge to share. He also calls it like he sees it, no sugar coating. Refreshing, informative, & entertaining!

I’m not a grammar teacher, but finally, a podcast with a clear voice, enunciation, cadence, microphone placement, sticks to the topic, and seems to NOT be tempted to fall into the apparent podcast trap of not-so-humerous puns. Also, in a time with so many advanced statistics, I especially appreciate the discussion of how certain past statistics did or did not translate to future performance for some players. Keep up the good work as I look forward to your regular season podcasts!
