From the sound bites and interviews to the guests and opinions of others this show hits the mark every episode, it’s eye opening to things I hadn’t thought about even having read/listened to the series over and over… whether you’re a die hard fan of the series or just read through the first book, this is where you want to be to expand on an already expansive universe.. Best podcast about best book series!

I love this series so much, I love there’s a podcast about it, a podcast that is much better than one attempted a few years ago. I just wish I liked the podcast more. I try, I really try because the story is amazing and I want more red rising in my life. I rarely make it through a full episode straight through. It’s very one note with very similar thoughts and opinions. I like when the female host is included to break it up but she’s always nervous laughing which isn’t great. Overall it’s a great fan podcast, love the production value, they get PB on often. But judging it as a professional podcast against other podcasts the hosts come up short for me.

I found this podcast as I finished Lightbringer and it’s everything I could have hoped for. One of my only regrets as I read this series (now one of my all time favorites) was not having anyone to talk with through the emotional rollercoaster of a journey - and these guys changed that! I’m literally re-reading all the books now so I can follow along with this pod and feel a community of Howlers. THANK YOU.

After finishing reading Lightbringer I needed somewhere to process my thoughts/feelings and I’m sooo happy I stumbled on this podcast. The hosts are obviously huge fans of the series but it’s great listening to them talk about the characters, plot lines and everything Red Rising. It’s satisfying to have my own thoughts validated and being introduced to new ideas or things I missed. These books are so special and having others to share in that specialness is amazing. A very well done podcast!

Hello, everyone (my howler name is unofficially Panda) if you are on the fence about this series or this podcast get off and just listen/read these podcasts and books. I was recommended this series as someone who wanted to get back into reading and this world that Pierce created as swallowed me whole. Then the passion and thoughts that the podcast has given have not only opened my mind’s eye but made me appreciate this series so much more. Yes, I even have grown to love iron gold! I LOVE this podcast. If you’re a Red Rising fan at all these are a must listen. Philip and Jeremy have some really great in-depth conversations about the RR characters we love (and the ones we don’t). I love hearing their perspectives on the RR world and characters, they’ve sometimes gotten me to think a little differently than I did about a character before with their opinions, that I hadn’t considered before. I’ve been listening to this podcast since season 1, and it has helped me better understand my favorite book series in so many ways! I’ve been reading the series since 8th grade (9 years ago), and it feels like I have grown up along side these characters, only a few years behind. The second half of the saga was hard for me to dive into at the age of 15, so when this podcast began during Covid it helped me fall in love all over again with the brilliant writings of Pierce Brown. The hosts are magnetic and interesting, as well as wickedly intelligent. I look forward to every new episode, and can’t wait for Red God!!!!

I don’t have anyone that reads red rising that I personally know, so it’s great knowing that when I finish a book there’s a podcast I can tune into, to put my thoughts about the book in cohesive sentences. Even if their character opinions are different than mine, love listening!

This is a dynamic, thoughtful, and informative podcast that delves deep into the literature of Pierce brown and uses it as a tool to study the human condition, motivations, and philosophy. I’ve spent many nights walking around my neighborhood with this playing and filling my head with questions without answers. I only have one problem, there’s a lotta atlas slander. Unfortunately he’s my favorite character (I know I’m a terrible person) but I understand we all have our opinions. Fantastic show. Please make more episodes.

I am obsessed with these guys! They dive into every single moment and make me remember things I completely forgot while also making me think twice about all my opinions of the series previously. I love how in depth they get and how much they love the series.

I feel as though I was relatively late to the fandom surrounding Red Rising; however, that has done nothing to dissuade me from proactively searching for folks who share that same interest. Well… welcome my surprise to discover such a well produced podcast on just such an obsession. If you, like me, have an insatiable need to devour all things Red Rising, then you have come to the right place!

If you love the Red Rising Saga and even more love nerding out through deep, fun, and intentional character analyses than you will thoroughly enjoy this podcast. I found out about Hail Reaper through another great Red Rising Podcast “Howlerpod” and have been loving all the different character episodes and the episodes that focus on the greater story and the entire red rising universe. I especially enjoy the hosts objective approach in their episodes when contemplating and discussing the decisions and actions and subsequent repercussions of those decisions across the society remnant, the solar republic, and the rim dominion. I am excited to continue listening especially leading up to the release of Light Bringer. 5 out of 5 stars. Hail Libertas!

I love being able to nerd out about Red Rising with the hosts of the Hail Reaper pod!

I very recently finished the first Red Rising trilogy and my more than mild obsession drove me to search for some podcasts to feed the fire. And let me say that this podcast— both in production and content —has has far and beyond surpassed my expectations and is now setting my standard of what I want in a podcast. Philip and Jeremy as well as Mathr and Janelle bring such interesting plot and character analysis to the table and they do it with so much pathos that the discussions on the podcast have often hit me almost as hard as the trilogy itself does. Add to that the awesome sound design and radio drama elements with the intro and some of the dramatized quotes and Broadcast, and you gorywell end up with an absolutely prime podcast, my goodmen.

Since reading Red Rising for the first time I have been a huge fan. Constantly spreading word of the Reaper and the incredible characters. I stumbled upon your podcast after listening to the series for the 4th time and wanting to go deeper into the world Pierce created. I love the deep dives and fan theories, but the Olympic Knight episode had me cheering “Hail Dalia, Hail Reaper!” Thanks boys for giving this Howler more opportunities to fall deeper into this incredible story!

I started listening on episode 15, with pierce brown, and I’m hooked now! The production value in each episode is top notch and draws you in. And honestly, who is this Strawberry Sovereign? I want to hear more from this intriguing character. Amazing work, stunning episodes, you should not miss!!

This is an incredible Red Rising series podcast that is a service to any fan of Pierce Brown’s incredible sci-fi series. The discussions in the podcast are relevant and engaging. The format of the podcast is easy to follow and really helps explore the depths of Red Rising. Each episode is fun to listen to and gets me excited as I remember great moments, big and small, within the books. Aside from the incredible content, the quality of the podcast is very good and I have no complaints. If you are a fan of Red Rising I cannot recommend this enough. Hail Reaper!

As someone who follows a couple other literary fandoms, I was really eager to find something Red Rising related and this podcast did not disappoint. My love of Red Rising began not long after the first book was released and I found it during a pretty dark period in my life, listening to Philip and Jeremy talk about pivotal moments and the reasons they love the series has brought back all of the feelings I had the first time I read the books and just literally brings a smile to my face. Keep up the prime work, my goodmen! Hail Reaper! Oh and I have to give props to all who work on the show and help make it what it has became. And of course I need to give Mathr a shoutout, because Broadcast is absolutely amazing.

In a word? Prime. Phillip and Jeremy are great hosts and the show has incredible production value as well. Big recommend to all Red Rising fans

Much like the books we love, this podcast leaves me wanting more. Great insight into the characters and action of the books.

I already enjoyed this podcast—the hosts do a great job discussing the themes and characters in Red Rising—but season 2 stepped up BIG TIME. The production values are excellent and the analysis is superb. My one wish is that they’d have some “everyman” guests. Let the low colors get some representation.

Hail reaper does a great job at bring the characters to life. They add in more then just talking points by including spoken words for the books and some in world advertising. A really great and well polished podcast for a wonderful story.

So I am a Language Arts teacher who doesn’t normally reread books because honestly, there are too many new ones that I want to read and get through. But ever since I started listening to Hail Reaper, all I want to do is reread the whole series! I can not wait until we get into the current books (and hey, maybe by then we might have a book 6). I love their banter and their discussions - they are clearly well versed in the series and present ideas that I had never considered. And seriously Phillip, it is time to watch season 2 of the Mandalorian.
