    My pro cycling fix podcast
After following on the YouTube and the Facebook, I found they had this wicked podcast. It has become part of my daily life. Lawyer Lanterne Rouge is hilarious and Benji, love his insights from the hallowed Flemish roads. They have helped me a ton with my fantasy cycling teams, but today I had Phillipsen and Ackerman, but dropped JP because they thought breakaway. Would have gone for six stars if they had gotten this right. Also, Le Col- thanks for sponsoring. Love my gear. Love. Ride on gents. Updated 2.7.25 These are the Cycling Nerds I need in my life.

    Best podcast there is
Absolutely a must listen for anyone who likes cycling even a bit. Listening to this podcast has grown my love for the sport. Their knowledge is actually insane and they are super funny as well. Great dynamic between them. I have a parasocial relationship with Patrick and Benji.

Required for All Cycling Curious People
If you are at all a fan of cycling this is the must listen podcast for race analysis and offseason drama. Cycling is a strange and complicated sport but LR makes sense of the madness. Highly recommended for American fans.

Best pro cycling analysis out there!
I’m only able to devote time to watching pro cycling during the Tour and a few other times a year, but Benji and Patrick get me my fix weekly with analysis that is technical and funny. Let the Eagle of Durango fly!!
  • LRCP is Full Gas
Absolutely real knowledge and fun, too!
Patrick and Benji are true fans of the sport! Listen religiously and you will learn more about professional cycling than you might expect, all from two young guys who may have never been pros, but have the passion like they were. I am an old dog ex-racer who absolutely loves the detailed analysis of big races and small, men’s, women’s, and juniors. And more than that, the podcast is fun to listen to! You can’t beat it, especially if you live in the USA but wish you lived in Europe.

My go to cycling podcast. Informative and passionate. I don’t always agree but it always makes me think. Highly recommended.

Patrick and Benji knowledgeable but also funny!
Love listening to these guys…they are so knowledgeable with detailed analysis of the riders and race strategies. But they are hilarious, each busting the chops of the other!

    Detailed and Entertaining
No nonsense breakdowns of road races in the detail you want to know. Hosts are professional and are not jaded like other podcasts. They know their stuff. If you want to hear detailed analysis of cycling search no further.

    A fan fave
Patrick & Benji provide just the right amount of analysis & silliness.

The best recap cycling podcast on the internet
LR is the best recap cycling podcast on the internet. Patrick and Benji provide a wide variety of race recaps typically within an hour or two of the races end. They delve into team race strategy and provide an overview of what happened in the race and why as they see it. This show has my highest recommendation.
  • Chrishophoto
The most in depth race analysis known to mankind!
Though neither Patrick or Benji have never been bicycle racers themselves, serious road racers and race enthusiasts will find no other podcast out there that discusses the tactics and talent in modern cycling with as much depth and encyclopedic knowledge as they do! Absolutely an essential daily listen for anyone who wants in depth coverage of both men’s and women’s professional cycling! Simply the best!

    Intelligent Commentary
Intelligent Commentary on Cycling Strategy and Tactics. You guys keep it very current too, Thanks! You work well together and give a balanced view with humor too. I appreciate calling the UCI to task as well, it’s well needed. I would appoint you third party judges on sprinting irregularities if I could!

    Please stop giggling
Both hosts are knowledgeable but it is so hard listening to Benji constantly giggling and cackling. Even when there’s nothing humorous being said, it’s still giggle giggle cackle cackle. It becomes almost unlistenable at times.

    A Converted Fanboy
At first I felt annoyed listening… but then I couldn’t stop listening… to now I look forward to every episode. I listen to a lot of cycling commentary and this is by far the best because Benji and Patrick speak their minds and give they’re insight. That is what I like foremost. The relationship that they both have is adorable and further enhances the enjoyment of listening. Keep up the amazing work guys!

    Best Cycling Podcast
Listen to this podcast to discover why cycling is the best sport. Incredible analysis of all the races, team tactics, game-theory, and what’s going on when you think all they are doing is pedaling. Makes watching racing 10x better. Patrick and Benji are the best, have enjoyed watching them grow their brand and cycling as a whole since back in the bucket hat days.

    Great stuff
I’ve been listening to LR for years at this point. A fun, informative pod for anyone that enjoys watching world tour races etc. These guys are great!
  • Snookanglr
    Informative & entertaining
This is hands down the best cycling podcast there is. Patrick and Benji really know their stuff and go deep. No one can analyze pro cycling and break it down like these two.
  • LodiCycle89
    Great coverage
Lantern rouge is the best source for in depth analysis and review of the best cycling on the world tour. Men’s racing, women’s racing, transfers, relegation battles, and the little peloton drama that makes cycling interesting all year.

These guys are actually hilarious with a rider focused pod and a huge knowledge base. Look forward to every pod and the elite banter they bring!

    Off the back
Both continue to spread themselves thiner and thiner and it is showing in their product . Pods now sound underprepared and less on point and less interesting. Get back on the front boy!

    Women’s Racing
Thank you for covering women’s racing!! I am from the era of Jeanne Longo and cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it is to see the growth of the women’s pro peloton and bringing back the tour!

    Thanks for a fantastic season!
What’s with the comments about talking fast? I have borderline ADHD and grew up outside New York. Works perfect for me! Pro cycling is getting better and better every year. Thanks to these guys for indulging my obsession when i’ve watched every race on GCN+ and need even more cycling in my life.

    Slow down!
Great podcast. Great perspectives but oh man don’t talk so fast! I miss a lot.
  • TomDanator
    Excellent excellent
Wide ranging coverage. Delighted it’s not just all about the mens game either and that you do include good deep dives on the womens races b it also the failures of the UCI to get it right Love the incorporation of the biz side too and the light explanation of the big difference the kit can make (wild how good BEX are at TTs)
  • CaityC
    Truly Fantastic!
Updated for 2022 — still a fantastic pod — eagerly await each new episode — I like it that you two are race & team/rider focused, and appreciate that you bring the biz side into your discussions when appropriate. A perfect complement to my other fave pods. Your team by team 2021 reviews are exactly what I’ve wished for — and you both are so knowledgeable about the races, the riders & the teams. I can’t believe that I just discovered this podcast — catching up on all the ones that I have missed. Also, very much enjoying your knowledgeable & fun race recaps & analysis. Updated July 5 2021: This podcast and analysis keeps getting better. Thank you both.

The best thing on the internet
This is a cycling podcast for road cycling geeks. Incredibly in-depth and inside, but also irreverent and off-the-cuff. LR and Benji take cycling seriously, but definitely do not take themselves too seriously. I have learned a lot and laughed a lot while listening to LR. A terrific addition to the cycling landscape.
  • dickwad mcgillicutty
    Well done boys!
Solid, consistent, very thorough content from LR and Benji. I usually don’t care what a non pro athlete thinks about pro sports but these two are on top of their game. Thanks!
  • leo blacklabel
In depth cycle racing analysis that is actually totally tolerable.
This two hosts are likable, knowledgeable, and have good chemistry and fun banter. I listen to and Lantern Rouge for my race recap and analysis, and The Slow Ride for my cycling entertainment . It works well for a full picture.

First podcast to listen to after a stage/race
No frills but quick and entertaining. In the spirit of the timeliness of their stage picks, last week I bought full bibs from their sponsor clothing, full bibs but 98 degrees outside :)
  • a_peloton_guy
Don’t know why I listen after every race
Perfect name for this podcast as it is the worst cycling podcast around. There’s way too much insight into team and rider strengths and parcours detail. LRCP will provide all of the useless details of a race. So much so that you could forgo paid viewing of the actual races. Additionally, the hosts can’t pronounce most of the climbs or start/finish towns let alone sponsor names - “Bingo-el”, “Oy-skatel ”?? WTH?!?

    Attacks the Grupetto
As far as podcasts go, this one is dropped out the back of the grupetto on the first 1.0 kilometer climb at 2% grade. Just try to pace yourself to the end of each episode.

This show is worthwhile cycling commentary in much the same way that Andorra is a worthwhile country, which is to say, it’s not worthwhile.

    Joy for cycling fans globally
Came across LR when my boyfriend showed me an un-geoblocked ITV clip that had some devastatingly deadpan remark. Quickly hunted down whatever I could find from the guy. As someone who only started watching cycling during lockdown 2020, these podcasts were immensely helpful in educating me on the art and logic of the race. Furthermore, this program just multiplies my enjoyment of the sport each time. Even if I've watched the race in question, I relive the excitement and/or disappointment in their recap; I cheer when they praise my fave team, lolsob when they roast them; and their absurd recall of riders' narratives/results build out the storylines that keep one invested. And after I passively listened to enough of the women's WT recaps, I finally started watching those races too and I'm so glad I did! Keep up the great work, LR and Benji!!
