It’s a great book and she reads it in entertaining ways. The conversations they have in between the reading are dull and pretentious. She’s read the book before and he often stops her reading to try and guess what will happen next in the story and draw spoilers out of her for everyone listening. It’s not unlike eavesdropping on a table full of college sophomores on trivia night.

I started this book twice since 2011 at the urging of my (now) wife, and always failed by the end of Eschaton. Now that I have a heroically long commute every day, I decided now was the time. I binged this podcast over the course of a month and a half, and it beat any audiobook I could have hoped for. It loses a fraction of a star for the occasional on mic eating and Chris too frequently asking about the time. Let her cook bro! Also, it’s sad that there hasn’t been a follow up as promised. Feels like the end of high school when everyone talks about how they’ll keep in touch but it’s not realistic and the realization that it was well intentioned but doomed takes awhile to set in…

Molly is phenomenal and I’m getting so much more out of her reading than I did on my own. Absolutely love her voices! I’d prefer the show without Chris, but part of the deal with loving IJ is listening to insufferable men who think they’re the smartest one in the room. Molly absolutely makes this project worth it!

Keep it up, guys. Love it.

This is one of the only podcasts I listen to regularly. The hosts are both quite smart (even though they like to downplay it) and funny. If you try to nitpick this, you’re an f*****g weasel

It’s the best when Molly reads with the Geoffrey Day voice. If only the entire book could be read in that voice!

It’s so refreshing to hear Infinite Jest be read and enjoyed by a very fun couple. Molly reads for about 20-40 minutes of text (having read it before) and Chris tries to figure out what he’s hearing along the way, and then they both unpack things at the end. They’re both very amusing—it’s unedited, a one-off, but they have great energy!

love it, glad y’all are doing it, it’s a fun way to experience the book for my second time! i would happily pay for a patreon with guest readings, if you do any can you please get matt for the passage that flashes back to J.A. as a child, the one about the bed.
