Cropped: A Mid-Life Minute

153

Hosted by age activist and style enthusiast Wendy Euler, Cropped is a five-minute podcast for women who don't make their own estrogen anymore. Cropped is short by design: it's shorter than short-term memory or a hot flash or the mini-skirts we're not supposed to wear after 40, which is a dumb rule and you can ignore it.Plug into Cropped every Monday for Wendy's style tips, pointers on refreshing your wardrobe, ways to stay on top of your game, pretty things she's liking and whatever she feels like talking (or singing) about. Will she talk about bangles or belt out The Bangles? You never know. Cropped is meant to be a moment of levity during these cruddy times - and whew! They. Are. Cruddy. So check it out and let these five minutes be the antidote to crud.

    On growing old and up
I am almost 77. I am enjoying this stage of my life. I am old. I will never have another chance to be old. I find it interesting. To most of society I am invisible now. This is OK. I am a watcher from way back. Society seems to want to avoid me as an old woman. I am here for the duration. I was young and beautiful once. Already been there. I do not want to be that now. Already done that. I want to find out about this stage of my life. I will remain curious until I am gone. I love what you are doing

Smart conversation celebrating aging for women
I am really enjoying this podcast. I am 55 and I am connecting with the topics, getting inspired, being validated as a contributor to society despite the grey hair, learning new things and tips. Thank you, Wendy, for giving us access to your tribe and the women who inspire you. I just binged listened the first three episodes and i cannot wait to hear more!

    ‘Horse with no name...”
‘Horse with no name...’ was going to be my 4th grade talent show entry- me riding on the back of my Friend, Nancy Pine, (‘cause she liked all things horses) with the Horse with no name playing as I wandered aimlessly on stage. Thank god my older sister cranked up “I looked back to see if you looked back.” I wrangled up two more galz and our dance troupe was formed. Our culottes and dance moves were the hit of the show! No more Creepy Genre for muah! Love your podcast! Valerie Hetherington

    She gets me! 😀

    Embarrassing
I had high hopes as a woman approaching 50, but gosh this is bad. In this moment where we are trying to be more aware, I find it intolerable to listen to someone going on about their personal list of fancy friends meeting at Goop rallys in expensive yoga pants and sharing best practices on crystal mushroom reiki self care. Bla.

    Haters gonna hate.
If you haven’t listened, do yourself a favor! The brilliant reversal on aging is inspiring and oh so healthy. Wendy is pouring her heart and soul into this and that takes guts! If folks need to judge and be mean, they’re right, this podcast isn’t for them. If you’re into having fun and learning how to age with no reservations, then this IS for you...enjoy! 💪🏼💚

    LoRox was great!
Lauren Roxburgh was wise, inspiring and knowledgeable as usual. She’s been interviewed a lot and is known to many through GP’s Goop platforms. Question is: can Wendy stay out of her guest’s narratives or will this be a new vehicle for her to show she’s on first-name basis with A-listers? TBD! Anyone over 50 is well aware there’s life beyond 50. And most of us have suffered loss. We don’t need to be encouraged to buy spendy clothes to fill a hole in our souls or social climb our way to happiness which are the two unspoken goals @Goodbye Crop Top on Instagram. If this is a reset from that. Hooray!

    We’ve needed this!
I have followed Wendy’s blog and Instagram for quite a while now and have told the women and men actually, in my life about her. In her, I believe women can truly... with whole hearts... walk into each stage of life with confidence. I believe if men will listen it will help them understand us better. Beautifully done... excited for what’s to come!
