These short stories and the bells and whistles that come with them make me smile every time! Highly recommend giving them a listen.

I’ve listened to this while walking the dog, and it has been entirely delightful. The other day I was laughing so hard I had to clutch at a wall because I couldn’t breath. It’s clever without punching down, and I highly recommend it.

First I read all of the Dublin Trilogy books (including the spin-offs) in a matter of weeks. Then I felt sad that there were no more books in the series for now. I was torn between starting off on The Stranger Times novels or saving them for a rainy day. Thankfully that’s when I learnt about the existence of this podcast! Woohoo. Boy am I glad I decided to save the books and start listening to this instead. It’s such a fun, uplifting podcast! The core content is awesome (obviously, considering the author), but all the different narrators just take the delightful factor to a whole new level! 😃 If you need cheering up anytime, just listen to any episode of The Stranger Times Podcast. I guarantee it’ll do the job. I’m still in the first season, and my favourite episode so far is… OF COURSE THERE’S NO ONE FAVOURITE EPISODE. Duh! 😄 I love them all. And so will you. Wonderful short stories read by really talented people. The Beauty and the Beast episode is one of the best things I’ve listened to lately.

I started with the book. I loved it. The podcast is wonderful. Good stories. Very funny. I am a forever fan. Thank you. This will help cushion me till the next book comes out.

It’s hard, for me anyway, to find light, entertaining stories and podcasts that are also intelligent and well done. But Stranger Times does it. Excellent narrators, good, involving, imaginative stories, and C.K. McDonnell is very witty. Often laugh out loud funny, with heart and brains as well. Highly recommended.

C.K/Caimh starts off, like with every novel/story he’s written, at the top and keeps getting higher and better. His delivery/rhythm is pitch perfect. He begins this podcast with two brilliant examples of his talents AS WELL as presenting fellow comedians as readers— spreading the experience beyond ink on paper, into nuance and, even in the moments of violence and human failings, reveal a joy, a care-full-ness.

The “news” is hilarious, and the stories are top-notch.
