    Love turkey and deer university!
I especially liked episode 321 “food plotting for turkey and deer”. The part on phosphorus preference by deer was fascinating and I will be putting out more on my plots to get my total soil level up as my phosphorus is only at a low to medium rate per acre on my plots. Knowing my cereal grain and clover plots are helpful is good to hear. Y’all are entertaining and exceptionally knowledgeable. I learn something to apply to my family’s land every episode. I’d like of know how to turn 4 acres of property recently (less than 2 year) clear cut pine into brooding cover without fire or removing stumps and forestry trash without heavy equipment. I’ve got grass, some forbs, and brush (rubus, calicarpa, tree saplings) growing. I was thinking broad leaf herbicide applications to undesired plants but would love more input. I can’t burn until 2029 due to a timber lease. I would like to see you talk about warm season plantings for turkeys. I had great success with May planted brown top millet, my turkeys were all over it. You could potentially get a crop of brown top millet on after your crimson has reseeded and before you replant the plot in the fall. Also we are all very interested in a herbicide episode. Specifically for plots: imox, generic pursuit, pendimethalin, treflab, cleth for your broadleaf plots, and plant back concerns for future planning. Also information on hack and squirt and cut stump applications would be very useful. Thanks you gentlemen.

    Knowledge and motivation
I love Wild Wild Turkey Science. I have learned many specific strategies I can do on my land to improve turkey nesting, brooding and overall habitat communities for wild turkeys. The show has turned my love for turkey hunting into a love for doing everything I can to make my land better for turkeys 365.

    Regenerative food plots
Great info on all yalls podcasts. I’m a regenerative food plot consultant. I’ve been doing this practice for 10 years. What benefits do turkeys get? It’s the insects stupid. As far as poults navigating the thatch, from my observations they make do. Once you crimp and plant the thatch lays fairly flat. The plant density problem is solved by the type of plant structures you get with the species in your mix.

    Valuable
I really enjoy wild turkey science, I found it in the fall of 2023, slowly trying to catch up on the earlier episodes. This has been useful for me to take more steps to managing my properties in Missouri for turkeys.

    Great Show
You guys have a great program and are always fun to listen to. You give great scientific information along with common sense ways of thinking, and looking at the facts of what is or what isn’t when dealing with these wildlife issues. Keep up the good work, and I definitely would love to hear how Coyotes help save turkey nests, so please talk more about that in the future because that would be amazing. But I have to say I would probably still shoot all the coyotes I can just because it’s fun.

    Awesome info
One of my favorite podcasts. Great hosts who do a great job of bringing university research down to all of us hunters and land managers.

    F**K yea!!!
I never thought about the outdoors (in depth) until I started hunting whitetails in 2020 (Northern IL). Now, I cannot get enough of it! I am thinking I wasted my time and money earning an MPA, but I am only 37. Thanks to everyone involved in bringing great content.

    Fish species
Love this podcast! Will there be a show coming where you talk about species and how they interact? I fish a private pond (gravel pit) 20ft depth, that has largemouth, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. Most of the shallow water has immediate, steep, deep water access. Thanks!

    From the horses mouth
This is an absolutely phenomenal podcast! There are very few podcasts that present management recommendations while presenting scientific data to back up the recommendations. It’s great to hear students (like Rainer Nichols) who are avid hunters also talking about the benefits of management and how his research can help you!
  • Sheltbr1
    A comprehensive collection
Finally!! A one stop shop for all things environmental sciences for those that but and fish. Thanks you all for this. R/Brandon

    Great resource for land owners
The podcast is just starting and I can’t get enough. Considering future guests, you should have Matt and Adam from Land & Legacy on. They focus on a wide spectrum of habitat management for various species.
