I’ve listened to every single one so I can say with “full disclosure” that they bring more research, critical thinking, and real life experience to the subject than the LDS church has had in a full General Conference weekend for the 45 years I was a member. A great combination of compassion from Bill and rational thinking from RFM.

Full disclosure: I’ve listened to one episode of this. It was shocking how much of the hosts’ and guest’s speculation was passed off as “fact.” Bokovoy admits that he doesn’t know whether Malachi 3 was meant to be a permanent or temporary commandment on tithing but since his thesis requires a temporary reading, he goes with that. When asked about The Chosen TV show, both host—RFM? What’s your actual name, my man?—and the guest say they haven’t watched it and then proceed to offer a critique of the show based on what they imagine it to be like. That answer to that question really is a microcosm of the intellectual dishonesty and emotionally manipulative tactics that this podcast appears to employ. If you have real questions about Mormonism, RFM appears to be the last person you’d want to ask. To quote Gimli, “This wizard speaks out of both sides of his mouth.”

Love love love the dynamic between these two. Informational and interesting.

Probably one of the most important podcasts about Mormonism - keep it up Bill & RFM!

This show removes the blinders from your eyes. It is a fine glass of cucumber water in the Deseret. The Mormon Church is a fraud and this channel is honest about it!!

Please. Just stop. I know it is the term that Mormons have historically used, but it is backwards and ignorant. It is not hard to say Black people. I enjoy this show and other ex-mormon programs, but at this point, hosts should know better and do better.

Very good analysis, a lot of interesting discussions and content. From listeners point of view, maven has detracted from show, and chara Burrell is irritating as heck. It’s April “22 and it’s time for bill to take back maven’s functions because the program gets stuck each time you need a recorded clip.

Episode 56 was the first I’ve listened to. It was interesting and informative. However, I was so disappointed when the host became disrespectful and minimized a comment. The discussion took a turn towards uncivil. Made it seem elementary and mocking, and I agree with all you were saying. You loose credibility for me when civility and respect leaves. You can do better. You have an important perspective. Don’t be so easily offended when others disagree or question you. Wasn’t that your message in the first place?

Such a smart podcast. Driven by data. Love em. Mormonism like you’ve never heard it before. Keep it up.

I could listen to RFM and Bill Reel read, and give commentary on, the back of a shampoo bottle. Excellent show, with well-researched and fascinating topics. Wish I could give more stars.

Bill has totally gotten all of the tech figured out, and RFM has thoughtful insight I would have never put together myself. Between the two of them their witty banter is incredibly entertaining (I also love the listener thoughts and comments at the end) Way to engage your audience and put out quality material guys! I only wish I was available on Wednesday’s to watch the live broadcast!!!!

Bill and RFM tackle the hard topics of the Mormon church and do it well. They are honest and care about truth unlike the church itself. Breath of fresh air once I left the church to know I wasn’t alone.

Even if you think you know everything about Mormonism I guarantee you'll learn something. Bill and RFM are great separately but even better together. The episodes are broadcast live weekly and are generally light-hearted and a lot of fun.

If you want to learn the honest truth about Lds history you will find it here with an occasional laugh along the way.
