    Can’t wait for more!
Your delivery is just perfect. I have listened to your podcasts over and over. I can’t wait for more. I have tried other similar podcasts and no one, absolutely no one, can delivery the info like you do. It’s a gift. Thank you! I can’t wait to hear more from you and your cat! Ha. Love that part too!

    Room for improvement
I think this podcast has a lot of potential. She is a good storyteller and has read a lot on the topics, but her voice is very difficult to listen to. She speaks from the back of her throat and uses a lot of vocal fry. It’s hard to get past that for me. I end up focusing on her voice rather than the story.

    Best pod!
I absolutely adore this podcast!! I found it through the 1996 Everest episode, and haven’t stopped listening since! Jasmines voice is so soothing and perfect for story telling! Listen, listen, listen to this pod!

    Thank you Jasmin!!
I love the way Jasmin presents the information - like listening to a friend tell a story. I find her voice very soothing. She puts a lot of time and work into her research, and I appreciate her conscientious delivery. Can’t wait for the next disaster story. You’re wonderful, Jasmin!

Great coverage of real life adventures and disasters
Very interesting content. Very detailed but easy to follow. Great way to introduce disasters and provide sources if listeners want to dig deeper. Please keep releasing pods!

Feels like you’re reading a book report that you wrote
And it doesn’t sound like you’re having an especially wonderful time doing it either.

    All
It would be nice if we could understand what you are saying most of the time.

Not a Clue about what she is talking about (Chernobyl Episode 1)
ā€œThe graphite tipped control rods had no effect when the Az-5 button was pressed ā€œ Those graphite tipped rods were the reason why the thing exploded because the briefly ramped up the reaction which crushed the fuel channels and control rod channels which jammed them into place and ā€œBoomā€ Funny how she has zero understanding in the reason why the core exploded

Speaking cadence and breathing is distracting!
The topics are so interesting and she covers the information pretty thoroughly, but I cannot listen to this podcast because of the hosts cadence in how she speaks and her breathing. She sounds constantly out of breath and it’s as if she speaks all these run-on sentences that causes her to need to take huge breathes at awkward times. She also has a tendency to end her sentences on an upward inflection, as if she’s asking a question instead of informing the audience. If she can stabilize her breathing, and work on her delivery this could be a great podcast. I’d come back for more in the future but for now I just can’t get into it even though the topics are so intriguing.

    Great Find
A coworker recommended this podcast to me and I really enjoy it. I appreciate the story telling method used. She offers just the right amount of information and not too much as to overwhelm the listener. Great job!

    Hard to listen
Good stories but the sing song fried voice is annoying and you miss what is said. Wish I could give more stars.
  • canonmoch
    Very interesting!
Love the storytelling, feels like a friend telling you a story, except it’s thoroughly sourced! Great voice too, soothing

    Un-listenable
So poorly narrated and researched I found myself pausing the podcast to collect my breath. Save yourself the frustration of listening to someone blather on about a topic they don’t care enough about to relay with any conviction. Terrible.

    Super interesting with relatable host
So many interesting stories about disasters delivered as if you are having a conversation with a friend, not being lectured to. Highly recommend.

    Legit
I’m a bit of a podcast junkie.. and this woman covers all her bases. It’s compelling but also grounded in facts. She tempers her opinions and let’s the listener piece together their own conclusions. I LOVE this discovery.

    Great Disaster Podcast
Jasmin does a great job of summarizing the stories without filling them with a bunch of fluff. She’s unbiased and focuses on the facts while remaining relatable and fun to listen to. Thanks for a great podcast, Jasmin!
