A dramatic adventure for tweens and listeners of all ages, Live from Mount Olympus weaves timeless Greek myths with the artistry of foremost contemporary theater-makers and the imaginative power of audio. Hermes, god of storytellers, travelers, and thieves (Tony Award-winner André De Shields) is our host.

Season Five: Pandora: Zeus, king of the gods, commands Hephaestus to sculpt a beautiful woman out of clay, and orders each god to grant her a gift.  Aphrodite bathes her in grace, Athena bestows wisdom, Zeus himself imbues her with insatiable curiosity, and Hermes gives her language and her name: Pandora, "all the gifts."  While you may think you know Pandora's story, you’ve never heard it told this way before.

Season Four: Prometheus: You’d think being able to see the future would be a gift – but Prometheus’s visions are never completely clear, and he quickly learns that not everyone wants to see what lies ahead.  When he glimpses a coming war that will threaten the whole world, Prometheus knows he must forge an unlikely alliance with the young Olympian Zeus.  But their friendship is tested when they find they have very different ideas about how to restore a shattered world. 

Season Three: Atalanta: A tiny newborn, abandoned in the forest, is adopted by a mama bear who raises her as her own. Under the divine guidance of Artemis and Athena, the bear girl grows up wise and strong, a skilled archer ready for adventure. When she meets the greatest heroes in all Greece - who are none too happy to hunt alongside a girl - Atalanta surprises them all.

Season Two: Demeter and Persephone: Persephone is eager to strike out on her own for the first time, but is immediately pulled into the underworld and must find her power in the darkness. Her mother Demeter fights to bring her back to the sunlight, and nothing can grow.  Can the Olympians stop fighting before humanity starves?

Season One: Perseus: Young Perseus makes a rash promise to save his mother from the clutches of an evil king, and must strike out on a dangerous quest full of terrifying monsters, powerful gods, and a brave girl who will change our hero’s life forever.

Live from Mount Olympus is a production of the Onassis Foundation. This bold and original audio drama is created and produced by Peabody Award-winning showrunner Julie Burstein, co-produced by the Brooklyn-based theater ensemble The TEAM, and directed by Tony Award-winner Rachel Chavkin, Zhailon Levingston, and Keenan Tyler Oliphant. Karen Brooks Hopkins is the executive producer.

    This is a very well produced podcast and I appreciate. There is a downside. It has some violent pictures and they warn you of this in the particular episodes but they undersell it so watch out for the ones they warn you about. Love this podcast!

I just lost someone important to me and this really helps take my mind off things I ❤️ GREEK MYTHOLOGY! p.s: please do the story of Eros and Psyche I gave it 4 stars because nothing is perfect EDIT:LOVED THE NEW SEASON!! Still think u should make Eros and Psyche tho!! It’s such a good story! I now give it five stars!

    I can’t believe Anna Kendrick (Poppy) is in season two. It’s so good Greek mythology is so weird but this show makes it fun and easy to understand if only they had a podcast exactly like this but Bible stories because they’re some cool and weird stories. You should do Theseus or Jason.

    [Read to the end! It's worth it] So, everyone seems to be talking about this 'Greeking Out' show, saying it's better and that this show is a rip-off of it. This intrigued me and I actually tried it out to see for myself. Just about halfway through the first episode, I got so bored out of my mind that I just had to come and write this review. Yeah sure, some people like it, but it's not for me. If you like voice actors and actual storytelling, instead of getting FACTS thrown at your face for a whole twenty minuts, then 'Live from Mount Olympus' is the show from you. Thats all on that... But as for the show itself, I love it! I like how it takes a different take on different myths. if you've ever tried to read the book series 'Myth-O-Maniac', after listening to a couple seasons of this show, it's just not the same. For example I've compared the story of Atlantis from the podcast and the book series and I definitely prefer the podcast, it just puts so much more emotion into Atlantis instead of just portraying her as an uninformed brat. On the more critical side, I realise that these seasons are getting a little shorter. For example, the pandora season was three episodes long... I expected better. Now I understand it's a hard story to expand but you still could have tried. I have only heard but rumors that something bad hapened to one of the cast or crew... or maybe even the host... and that can have an effect on production by a lot... still only rumors. In summary if something ever happened to the cast crew, I'd at least like a public announcement that production will slow down so that we know in advance not to expect any great things in the coming months. Remember, it's been a long time since you've even advertised the new season, and the last two seasons kind of came in a rush of content to try to satisfy the listeners. All in all, I still love the podcast and it is highly recomended to the age groups 8-12 and families, and it's a fun way to relax after a day of chaos, or learn about greek mytholygy with Percy Jackson like take on the stories! - a critic P.S. (Forgive me if I got the title of 'Myth-O-Maniac' wrong)

I think that the actor that plays Aphrodite could be Circe or calypso, actor of Prometheus should be telemecus, actor of Atalanta could be Penelope, actor of hades could be some of the crew members and suitors, actor of zues should be eurylocus cuz I imagine him with a manly voice, and I thing athena should be Athena <3 Love, delaney, child of Apollo

    I love this show, the actors are really good, and I love the first season to be honest just because it was the debut and didn’t really have expectations yet. Please make another season! I have a few suggestions. You could make a season about: Odysseus Echo and Narcissus Daedalus and Icarus Medea/Jason
