TiredoftheroofWho knew microbes/bacteria could be exciting?!This aptly named podcast is perfect for everyone, even if you don’t consider yourself a microbiology or science enthusiast. Dr. Dees and her guests are so passionate about their work and microbes, to the point where you cannot help but be captivated and even excited to learn more. They also break the topics down enough for anyone to be able to understand and, I’ve got to say, I’m always left wanting to know more and feeling joyful! I can’t wait to share this with all my friends AND the kiddos I babysit 😊

#MidnightFanDr. Dees,So I am starting my first year of homeschooling high school this year and my curriculum (Ambleside Online) actually scheduled me to listen to this podcast every week. I am so thankful that you started this podcast and are making it all so easy to understand! I have always loved science, mostly biology, and have been wanting an easy way to get some of that smushed into my busy week, and, even though it’s scheduled, I love listening to it over and over, (along with reading Apologia Physical Science book by Dr.J.Wile). I have been really loving this podcast because its all about nature and, of course, microbes. I plan on getting my masters degree in science and math and Zoology, hopefully heading towards the Veterinary Career! Thank You so much for doing this podcast!

Ron SemanIt is a JOY(!) to learn about microbesThere are a few places to learn about microbes and 99% are boring places BUT THIS is the podcast where you can feel the joy and sincere interest in microbes! This will be the top podcast I listen to and re-listen to. I lead hikes every day at the Indiana Dunes National Park which has the greatest biodiversity density in all of America! With biodiversity comes microbes. Your cell ckunt is 99% microbial. You are a bucket of microbes responsible for a human! Listen this podcast and grow. Ron Seman Indiana Dunes Hiking

PiggypiggiesThis is going to be great!I just finished listening to the intro episode, and can’t wait to hear more! I agree, there are a lot of great podcasts out there that I do listen to, but for most people (me, too, sometimes) they’re just to technical for most people. There are so many more people that could “catch the bug” of microbiology if it were more accessible. Way to go, Justine! And I love the name, too!

I’ve been following the Joyful Microbe blog for a couple of years now and am most excited for this podcast.
