Economics and finance demystified.

A recent listener's comment:

"I first heard about ChatGPT on your podcast and immediately started using it. I’m 73 and wrote my first program at 16. Having witnessed all developments in computing down the years I think this is the greatest since www. Your pod is informative in many different areas, politics, economics, society changes, housing crisis etc but at times goes beyond that. This episode tying up all this but also the implications of AI with a knowledgeable guest. ENTHRALLING! Keep it coming."

    Good combo
Two very interesting economists, essential listening for those that want a balanced informative set of views on the intricacies(or indeed the simplicity) of the Anglo/Irish economies. Obviously there much earlier collaborative work time together has made them unique in their field. Well worth subscribing to this podcast.

    Nathan’s contribution
Today’s podcast, Feb. 10th 2023, is great. It is a joy to hear the perspective of a new generation through the voice of such an articulate young person. (Regardless of the subject at hand.) What a great initiative! Keep it going please.

Interested in economics in Britain and Ireland?
If you are interested in the economies of what was formerly known as the British Isles (Now 🇬🇧 and I 🇮🇪and in future maybe England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and I 🇮🇪 !!!) this is a must listen podcast. From explaining Brexit, to macro and micro economic issues the two lads.. a fellow Deisman Jim Powers and the Welsh Wizard Chris John’s.. explain economics to the ordinary punter like myself very succinctly.. if I could give 6 stars I would. P.S Don’t be put off by the lads center to tight political views.. especially Jim who seems to like to call out Sinn Fein”s tax and spend policies though Chris does love to bash the incompetent Tories who have sent Britain on a very bumpy road tru Brexit in last 12 years. Bottom line these lads are a must listen!!!

Good analysis on Ireland, EU and the world
I do not agree with all their conclusions (ex cryptocurrency) but I always appreciate the wisdom of their insights, and their ability to highlight economic data I might otherwise skim over.

Broad discussions & good information on EU
I’m an American who I appreciates hearing Chris and Jim’s intelligent observations and perspective on various events happening in Ireland, Britain, and entire EU. I used to live in Ireland and the Netherlands, so I’m interested and emotionally invested in cultural and economic events. They share my political and ideological thoughts which makes me not feel alone in this current world climate. Both gentlemen are VERY articulate and seem well informed.
